Up for auction is this beautiful Victorian Rococo loveseat with a magnificent. Highly carved walnut frame. It measures approximately 40 inches high and 66 inches at its longest point. The seat height is 16 inches. The seat measures 21 inches deep. If you measure from where the back of the frame where it touches the wall, to the front of the seat, it measures approximately 30.5 inches deep. It has its original 4 casters. The springs are in good condition. And there are no tears in the fabric. It does have a spot with some light staining, which we never noticed until we were checking it closely for the description. There's one repair on the end of the apron, which can be seen in two of our pictures. It is a 2 inch by 2 inch by 1.5 inch triangle. This is not part of the leg, only a part of the apron. No reserve. Antique Victorian Eastlake Rocker Loveseat Settee Great Wood Carvings Upholstery Need a couple of nice Victorian pieces for those finishing touches in a room. Do not miss these pieces. Recently picked them up at an auction. The wood on these pieces is just beautiful. Probably made in the 1880s to 1890s. I think the wood type is mahogany. But may be walnut, you be the judge. The carvings and scrollings are all still intact and were nicely done. The rocker was certainly used more than the settee and shows wear on the arms to the finish. On the left side of the settee the frame has a split in it that was corrected sometime quite a while ago. There is a bolt thru the repair that was not a part of the original piece. See the pic. I picked this piece up in the condition it is in, so cannot speak to when it was reupholstered, but it was done well ... moreand with a material that is very attractive and heavy, no flimsy stuff here. The pieces are all still tightly together at the joints. The rocker still has both its' springs. The roller wheels are both on the settee's front legs. The rocker is 39.25" tall. By 24.5" across, by 24.5" wide. The loves eat/settee is 40.25" tall. By 48" across, by 23" wide. Sorry. The other items you can see in the pics are not for sale. VICTORIAN Loveseat Sofa Cira:1860-1890
Listing tonight a Victorian Sofa reddish/brown color with gold braid. The fabric is velvet and appears possible to be original. The backside of the sofa is velvet as well but is tan in color perhaps someone was in the process of changing the fabric I am not sure. The front has some fraying on the arms. The gold or yellow braid appears original but is missing as well in spots. The wood appears to be walnut in nature. Please look in one of the photos the leaf and flower accent border has been broken. Four white wheels are present and the couch is structurely very good as I sit in often without issue. The couch looks and feels firm when sitting in it. The accent buttons appear all there as well. We are selling a Victorian Settee- I'm not sure how old it is exactly but I'd guess that it's from the mid to late 1800's. I purchased it from an antique store a few years ago and they didn't have any information about it. It's a pretty teal color- the back is the same as the front(the flash from the camera makes it look a little lighter but it's not) It is nicely carved and the upholstery is in very good condition- no stains or rips. I am not sure if the upholstery is original or not. The sofa measures approximately 64" long. 25" wide and the seat sits at 16. Beautiful victorian couch. I have no idea of the year it was produced? Ive tried to do some research and have found no couch like this. Burnt orange& gold in color. Some fading and a few rips on back side of couch. Nothing major considering the age of this piece. I get many" I adore this sofa" when people come to visit. However in this house I just don't have the room for it and I really need the money at the moment. This couch is three pieces as pictured. It truely is a unique treasure. The decoration across the top wood looks like nuts or fruit and flowers of some kind that is carved. The velvet material is a very pale reddish cranberry. The pictures are very true to the color. The back is tufted. The wood frame is pretty sturdy. It measures about 59 inches long from the widest part of the wood frame on top. It stands about 34 inches tall to the top of the fruit. This Victorian Cameo Heart Back Sofa is made of black walnut. Serpentined back with clusters of grape medallions above each of three crests. Center cameo is outlined in thumb molded walnut in an inverted heart design with rounded end. Carved floral carved ends extending to floral knees and whorl feet on casters. One back caster is missing. The upholstery is gold Chinoiserie brocade. It is 62" long and Circa 1850. It came to my Mother in 1987 and prior to that her Aunt owned it in Pennsylvania. A very unusual settee or loveseat. This appears to be Victorian Empire with a dark red/black flame mahogany frame, likely late 1800s. Origins unknown. Loveseat is a simple, yet elegant piece of furniture with a floral motif on curved wings on each end of the back. Dimensions: 42" tall by 48" long. It has its ORIGINAL GREEN VELVET UPHOLSTERY with original tooled brass fabric nails and appears to be stuffed with horse hair or straw. We have a small love seat sofa for sale. Dated back to the 1800’s Victoria Era. This small sofa will fit in an apartment or a small cove of your home. It is 38” tall X 56” wide X approx 24” deep. There is no apparent damage that I can see. There is normal wear. I don’t think it has ever been reupholstered It is an olive greenish velvet. With swirls in it and it is tufted. The wood appears to be walnut and burl walnut. I believe it was made by the Charles Eastlake Company sometime in the late 1800’s. I don’t know the value of this sofa, so I am only starting this auction at $100.00. Illinois buyers have sales tax. Nebraska(small prairie town) where it was purchased in the late 1800's by her father who owned the Lyman Brush Drug Store. There was a fire in the Denver home back in the 1940's and the piece had some restoration then. During the early 80's the piece was cleaned up and perhaps made stronger and readied for upholstery. Victorian Loveseat Settee Late 19th c. Carved walnut
Up for sale is a late 19th century Victorian Loveseat Settee that belonged to my wife's great-grandmother. She inherited it back in the 1980's and it proved to be impractical around our young. Energetic sons. It was put into storage and now needs to find a new home with someone who can restore her fabric and bring her back to its original condition. The carved walnut frame is in excellent shape, with casters on the feet. The fabric, alas, is faded with a split in the center of the main cushion along with some deterioration of the weave, so it will need to be reupholstered. The settee measures 68" long, 41" tall and 30" deep. There is no visible maker's mark or plate externally. Might be one inside under the cushions and upholstery but not sure. Very nice lines to this set. Settee has damage on one arm and will need to be repaired. Please see photos as I have tried to take photos showing what will need to be repaired. The two chairs are in good shade but when recovered could use a good overall tightening up. Fabrics can be used as is but does show wear. Settee is missing the two buttons that were once in each corner. Springs on one chair will need to be retied. NICE Victorian 1800's Parlor Loveseat. Ornate wood, carved. JENNY LIND Civil War
We are pleased to be offering today a very nice Victorian loveseat. If needed. We could assist with shipping or delivery, ask about this first. Antique Victorian Settee. With Carved Wood Trim. Detailed wood carving of the Jenny Lind style face and head. Very interesting characteristic. Tribute after the Civil War period. Loveseat sofa or settee. With carved wood frame and a floral upholstery. It in pretty nice condition. All the woodwork is in overall good condition.no apparent rips or tears in upholstery. The fabric on the rear seems in fine condition to have visible/open to view. The fabric on the settee is in fine. Useable condition. Except that on the left inside arm of the settee, there is a short spot where the upholstery would need refastening to the frame. The sofa is in great. Solid condition for the age. The loveseat does show a ... moreslight loosening of the joint on the upper side wood arm, near curve. Still seems well intact. Wood trim does have some nicks or light scratches. Not noticeable, as you can see from the photos. It is really a nice seating piece of furniture. Please note that antiques are not new and may have some signs of age and use. This adds to the charm and character and shows it's history. MEASUREMENTS- Settee- The size of the love seat is 59 inches across the arms. From the back to the front is 23 inches deep, the height to the top of the carved crest is 41 inches high, the height to the arm is 24 inches high and the height to the seat is approximately 16 inches high. It is in nice tight condition, except for the mention of the upper left side/arm joint. It features curved legs, incise carvings. The upholstery across the back of the sofa is fine, so that it can be display or visible, not having to go up against a wall, if desired. It is a nice settee! If needed. 1850s Victorian Renaissance Revival settee - sofa couch loveseat antique vintage
Wonderful renaissance revival settee from the 1850s or 1860s. What a lovely piece; she's in very good condition. This is techically pre"Eastlake" And likely from before the Civil War. Approximately 5 feet wide. If she could talk. Oh the stories she'd tell; We've no room in the house for her- she's living on the work table in the shop.
