The abbreviation of DKR-2 stands for Dining or desk height(K) Wire seat Rod base(2) Two piece pad. This early fabric upholstered wire chair was designed in 1952 as a part of newest contribution of low-cost seating comfort. The Eames office used bent and welded wire mesh as the bases for the furniture designs. The seat as well as the base of this chair are made out of bent and welded wire and is known for its comfort and durability. This chair was an instant hit! From Herman Miller early 1950s"Chairs" poster: The formed wire shell of these chairs is welded into a single. Lightweight unit. The double perimeter wire forms a continuous open truss for added strength. The versions ... moreshown here have two-piece upholstered pads which are easily removable for cleaning. CONDITION REPORT: This chair is excellent for its age and in all original vintage condition. The upholstery is tan color. The button and the loop are all original. All metal parts of the chair are 100% original and showing some pitting and enamel ware consistent for 60+ years old chair. The upholstery interior is very clean with no stains and it has become somewhat lighter on the front due to natural light exposure. Still looks very nice! The back of the upholstery has some pattern where it was touching the metal frame. There is one small seam opening on the edge in the upper right corner that could be easily fixed. Nothing major but we have to mention this for the accuracy of the description. The black enameled plated Eiffel tower rod base has no bends. Re-welds, or any other repairs of any kind. The glides are black rubber and metal, and they slipped over round metal balls on the ends of each leg. For auction is one vintage original GF Goodform model 2034 slatback aluminum side chair. The frame is in very good condition. Though there is a dent on the front of one of the slats, and the finish is somewhat worn at the top. The clear lacquer finish has also slightly clouded in spots. The original upholstery is in poor condition(dried-out foam, torn-up vinyl) and needs to be re-done. Not a big deal if you were planning on reupholstering, anyway, though not good enough to use as is. It has the original oval Goodform tag on the back of the seat frame, and there is a small inventory number etched above it. antique karpen laminated mahogany parlor set 2 chair
up for auction a three piece antique karpen parlor set. the set has very nice laminated mahogany backs. The settee and arm chair have nicely carved claw feet and the back of all three pieces have sea shell carved crests. there is also nice carving where the arms attach to the backs and carving down both sides of the backs of each piece. it has had new fabric put on the seats in the last 4 or 5 years, i forget for sure when i had that done. i have cleaned the wood and polished it. the sofa is a bit over 50 inches wide, a bit over 38.5 tall at the crest, and the depth of the seats on all three pieces is right at 20 inches. the rocker is 36 tall and 23 wide, the arm chairs 38.5 tall and 23 wide. i believe the casters are original to the sofa and arm chair, of course the rocker has none. it had a karpen paper tag that came off when recovering ... morea few years back. i forget what piece it was on but it fell off when removing the old fabric. i still have the tag somewhere. i will look for it and can send a picture of the tag should anyone care to look at it. it is in overall excellent shape to be 100 years old. there are a few minor dings in the wood, but none large enough to picture, the back of the arm chair has a couple of small depression in the wood, i don't think they showed in the pictures however. they don't amount to anything. actually there are no dings or dents in the wood that can be easily seen and are just consistent with age and use. the function of the set is not compromised in any way. it is very sturdy and solid. it is a great set. it can be picked up at my home or shipped at buyers expense. i can help arrange shipment if that would be helpful for anyone. good luck.

Mid Century Danish Modern Verner Panton Chair 1-2-3 System Chrome
Verner Panton 1-2-3 System Chair Very rare Butterfly Base 1-2-3 system chair. This chair is in great vintage condition. The chrome base is in excellent condition showing little vintage wear. The small glides are missing on the base which is allowing the big bolt in the center of the chair to touch the floor when sitting on it. This can easily be fixed with some new nylon glides. Antique brass figure of 2 men carrying a chair- no maker marks
I tried to find out more about this antique brass figure. But had no luck. It has no maker marks, but is of 2 Asian men carrying a chair(Gama in Korea, Norimono in Japan) The men figures are on wheel, the man in the back does not have his wheels anymore, but still has the hooks so they could easily be replaced. It may of even been a toy. It is about 10 inches long, 4 1/2 inches tall and 3 inches wide. These come from a non-smoking home. I have a LOT of dishware and collectibles I will be listing in the next month or so from an estate and I DO combine shipping if you purchase multiple items.
