Circa 1880-90's features an upholstered settee/love seat measuring 46"w x 40.5"h and a pair of matching upholstered chairs, each 19"w x 37.5"h. w/ original soft green velveteen fabric. Though probably slightly faded. The upholstery is in very good condition& pleasing to the eye. The framework on all is cherry wood w/incised decoration. Each has original brass casters. Antique Victorian Eastlake Rocker Loveseat Settee Great Wood Carvings Upholstery Need a couple of nice Victorian pieces for those finishing touches in a room. Do not miss these pieces. Recently picked them up at an auction. The wood on these pieces is just beautiful. Probably made in the 1880s to 1890s. I think the wood type is mahogany. But may be walnut, you be the judge. The carvings and scrollings are all still intact and were nicely done. The rocker was certainly used more than the settee and shows wear on the arms to the finish. On the left side of the settee the frame has a split in it that was corrected sometime quite a while ago. There is a bolt thru the repair that was not a part of the original piece. See the pic. I picked this piece up in the condition it is in, so cannot speak to when it was reupholstered, but it was done well ... moreand with a material that is very attractive and heavy, no flimsy stuff here. The pieces are all still tightly together at the joints. The rocker still has both its' springs. The roller wheels are both on the settee's front legs. The rocker is 39.25" tall. By 24.5" across, by 24.5" wide. The loves eat/settee is 40.25" tall. By 48" across, by 23" wide. Sorry. The other items you can see in the pics are not for sale. Offered if sale is a Victorian Eastlake Chaise Lounge circa 1880. This lounge features a beautifully carved back with incised carvings highlighted in gold. The vintage crimson velvet upholstery is in excellent condition. With on rips or tears. There are three very light spots toward the foot, they do not show up in the photo. Four ring turned legs support the lounge. One back leg does a brace, it is very sturdy. This is a very substantial lounge(very comfortable) perfect for a bedroom or any room. This set has the settee. Armchair and two side chairs and is estate fresh belonging to the same family for over three generations. This parlor set has beautiful geometric and incised carvings so typical of the Eastlake era of design and also has all the casters intact on all four pieces. Settee: Measures 42 inches in height. Width arm to arm measures 58 inches, seat width measures 48 inches, seat depth 21 inches and seat height to the floor is 18 inches and this settee weighs approximately 50 lbs. Captain's chair and sofa have 4 porcelain casters each and other pieces have casters only on two front legs. Unknown manufacturer or exact date. Was purchased at an estate sale and do not know any of the history for this set. A previous owner has recovered the set with a soft burgundy and gold fabric. All upholstery is well attached and clean. Entire set could use a good cleaning, especially in the carvings/grooves. There are several issues with this set, typical of normal age and use. Item- Antique late 1800s Eastlake cottage period love seat/settee. We are very pleased to be able to offer for your consideration this wonderful Eastlake love seat. This little Eastlake settee/ love seat is a classic example of the style. And for it's age it is still a very sturdy piece of furniture. Not only is it a beautiful piece, it is very comfortable too. This settee/love seat measures approximately 58 1/4 inches wide. It stands approximately 39 1/2 inches tall, it is approximately 25 1/2 inches front to back. Victorian Era Eastlake Loveseat Love seat Couch
We have a small love seat sofa for sale. Dated back to the 1800’s Victoria Era. This small sofa will fit in an apartment or a small cove of your home. It is 38” tall X 56” wide X approx 24” deep. There is no apparent damage that I can see. There is normal wear. I don’t think it has ever been reupholstered It is an olive greenish velvet. With swirls in it and it is tufted. The wood appears to be walnut and burl walnut. I believe it was made by the Charles Eastlake Company sometime in the late 1800’s. I don’t know the value of this sofa, so I am only starting this auction at $100.00. Illinois buyers have sales tax. From out non-smoking home… Gorgeous fainting sofa. Most likely 1880s, with beautiful Eastlake foliate incising. Beautifully upholstered in luxurious velvet. Rosy-burgundy with golden-green stripes. Velvet is high-end and may be silk. It has some wear, but is still lovely and functional. Lovely woodwork. Including a high pediment with an ornate shield, curved overlaid burled walnut panels, ornate vining incising, turned feet, fluted molding that curves around the rounded base of the couch, and carved base pediment. Very nice lines to this set. Settee has damage on one arm and will need to be repaired. Please see photos as I have tried to take photos showing what will need to be repaired. The two chairs are in good shade but when recovered could use a good overall tightening up. Fabrics can be used as is but does show wear. Settee is missing the two buttons that were once in each corner. Springs on one chair will need to be retied. EASTLAKE VICTORIAN WALNUT SETTEE & 2 SIDE CHAIRS CIRCA 1880's FURNITURE
This is a set of walnut Eastlake Furniture originally purchased and used in Botetourt County. Va. but an early family. It has remained in the county since purchased new. I am the third owner. I have included outside shots and indoor to show you how they would look inside. There is only one fabric flaw that is pictured and it looks repairable if you do not plan to reupholster them. There is no shipping on this, only local pickup but location is just off Interstate 81 and hwy 11 near Buchanan, Va. less than 2 miles from the exit. Unlike a lot of furniture, these pieces still retain some of their history which I will share additional information with the buyer. Thanks for viewing these antique pieces. Antique Victorian Eastlake Settee with Black Walnut Frame with Provenance
This East Lake Victorian Settee with Black Walnut Frame romantically seats two comfortably on the newly upholstered rich imported Brocade. It was written up in the Pettaquamscutt Historical Society for having been found on a Schooner Maggie P. Smith from Newport News. Va bound for Portsmouth N.H. with a cargo of coal and was discovered ashore on Bass Rock, Narragansett by Walter P. Stanton Surfman. The papers with the rest of the story are with the love seat. It measures approximately 57 wide by 42 high. and is in superb condition!
