Beautiful Antique Victorian Tufted Loveseat. Walnut. This is an amazing piece of Victorian Furniture. It is original with new upholstery. The upholstery is deeply tufted and done exceptionally well. All edges have the tricky double welting that adds elegance to any piece. The wood is in very good condition. It has one repair to the front wood. It looks like it got a movers"ouch" and needed some touch up glue. The damage looks to be just cosmetic. The frame of this Loveseat is tight. Strait and solid. The legs have the original wooden casters at the bottoms. This Loveseat measures 57 1/2" long, 34" tall. And 27 1/2" deep. If I could find a way I would keep this for myself. Up for auction is this beautiful Victorian Rococo loveseat with a magnificent. Highly carved walnut frame. It measures approximately 40 inches high and 66 inches at its longest point. The seat height is 16 inches. The seat measures 21 inches deep. If you measure from where the back of the frame where it touches the wall, to the front of the seat, it measures approximately 30.5 inches deep. It has its original 4 casters. The springs are in good condition. And there are no tears in the fabric. It does have a spot with some light staining, which we never noticed until we were checking it closely for the description. There's one repair on the end of the apron, which can be seen in two of our pictures. It is a 2 inch by 2 inch by 1.5 inch triangle. This is not part of the leg, only a part of the apron. No reserve. Recently picked them up at an auction. The wood on these pieces is just beautiful. Probably made in the 1880s to 1890s. I think the wood type is mahogany. But may be walnut, you be the judge. The carvings and scrollings are all still intact and were nicely done. The rocker was certainly used more than the settee and shows wear on the arms to the finish. On the left side of the settee the frame has a split in it that was corrected sometime quite a while ago. There is a bolt thru the repair that was not a part of the original piece. See the pic. I picked this piece up in the condition it is in, so cannot speak to when it was reupholstered, but it was done well ... moreand with a material that is very attractive and heavy, no flimsy stuff here. The pieces are all still tightly together at the joints. The rocker still has both its' springs. The roller wheels are both on the settee's front legs. The rocker is 39.25" tall. Antique LOVESEAT 1880s Eastlake NEWLY RESTORED and UPHOLSTERED SOFA SETTEE HISTORY: The 1994 earthquake destroyed all our furniture. Much of which was antiques collected over the years. After retiring to Florida, we looked to replace some items. We found this love seat and a chair which we are also listing stored in a barn and loved the lines. We then located a retired gentleman who had many years experience in restoring antique furniture. He spent a couple of months totally restoring the wood. Then he referred us to a local upholstering company who rebuilt the seat and back and covered it with this beige velvet. Everything under the velvet is totally new as only the frame existed originally. We chose beige as the other furniture in our living room had bright colors and designs. We dressed this loveseat up with fancy pillows to match or coordinate ... morewith the other bright colors in the room. DESCRIPTION: The gentleman who restored this loveseat said that it was from the 1880s and named EASTLAKE. We went online and looked at Eastlake furniture from the 1880s and found pieces very similar to this. MEASUREMENTS ARE: Floor to highest point in middle of back 34 1/2 inches; Widest part from outside arm ends 36 inches; Arm length 21 1/2 inches from back frame to end; and seat is 21 x 33 1/2. Floor to top of padded seat is approximately 14 1/2 inches. This is very low; however. This can easily be made higher with casters. VALUATION: We research similar items for sale and try to price anything we list competitively and usually below lowest comparable. We located same category items from just under three hundred dollars which needed to be upholstered up to several thousand dollars. I lean toward Sheraton because the style matches that most closely, and the wood does not look like Mahogany and Sheraton furniture was frequently done in Satinwood. We are selling a Victorian Settee- I'm not sure how old it is exactly but I'd guess that it's from the mid to late 1800's. I purchased it from an antique store a few years ago and they didn't have any information about it. It's a pretty teal color- the back is the same as the front(the flash from the camera makes it look a little lighter but it's not) It is nicely carved and the upholstery is in very good condition- no stains or rips. I am not sure if the upholstery is original or not. The sofa measures approximately 64" long. 25" wide and the seat sits at 16. As with any piece of older furniture there are some nicks and dings in the wood but it is a beautiful sofa. Local pick up only within 10 calendar days of winning bid. Beautiful victorian couch. I have no idea of the year it was produced? Ive tried to do some research and have found no couch like this. Burnt orange& gold in color. Some fading and a few rips on back side of couch. Nothing major considering the age of this piece. I get many" I adore this sofa" when people come to visit. However in this house I just don't have the room for it and I really need the money at the moment. This couch is three pieces as pictured. It truely is a unique treasure. I think the date on this piece is 69. When I removed the pillow there is a rip. So therefore I'm dropping the price. You can not see the rip when cushion is on. But I was disappointed when I saw it. This auction is for a really pretty antique victorian love seat/settee. I think the wood is walnut. The decoration across the top wood looks like nuts or fruit and flowers of some kind that is carved. The velvet material is a very pale reddish cranberry. The pictures are very true to the color. The back is tufted. The wood frame is pretty sturdy. It measures about 59 inches long from the widest part of the wood frame on top. It stands about 34 inches tall to the top of the fruit. A very unusual settee or loveseat. This appears to be Victorian Empire with a dark red/black flame mahogany frame, likely late 1800s. Origins unknown. Loveseat is a simple, yet elegant piece of furniture with a floral motif on curved wings on each end of the back. Dimensions: 42" tall by 48" long. It has its ORIGINAL GREEN VELVET UPHOLSTERY with original tooled brass fabric nails and appears to be stuffed with horse hair or straw. The varnish on the wood is so old that it has a"reticulated" appearance- love it! The legs gently curve with"demi claw" feet that have three toes, more like a heron's feet than an eagle. Here is a very pretty antique Loveseat for sale. This is a perfect entryway piece at 36" tall to top of back. 19" tall to top of seat, 38" wide, and 24" deep. Lovely condition with one minor crack on top left as pictured, well below average surface wear, and material is excellent. I can not say if this is the original upholstery, but its mint condition and if it has been redone it was professionally done. I believe it is cherry wood as it has a red tint, or its a cherry wood finish, just lovely. Still has the original casters on the legs as well, lovely antique piece of furniture. Antique Victorian Carved Walnut Loveseat C.1875 with Gout Stool
A Victorian carved walnut settee from the late 1800's. It measures 55" from arm to arm and the height is 40" The frame and body is in very good condition with original casters. The upholstery has been replaced with a colorful delicate flower pattern. The walnut is nicely carved. And in very good condition other than a few scratches and small marks on the wood, which are consistent with age. All sales are final. This sale is pick up only. Comes with gout stool! Ornate Antique Red Victorian Loveseat Sofa Reupholstered
This is a stunning antique red button-tufted Victorian loveseat. It was refinished and reupholstered in the 1960's. And the current owner's said they were only allowed to sit on it at Christmas.
