One arm, and 2 side chairs. they are ... morenewly recovered with a gorgeous soft pink fabric that is nicely tufted. i said newly, the fabric may be a few years old but it is in new condition. i am not for sure what the fabric may be. i bought this set from a wealthy estate and it is possible that it is silk, but i can not be for sure. at any rate, it is a very fine fabric. there are no damages to the set as far as i can tell, save one of the casters on the sofa kept falling out so i put a dowel in the hole, glued it and redrilled it for the caster. other than that i know of no damage or repairs to the set. it is very sturdy with no wiggles or wobbles etc. the backs of the chairs are all nicely laminated. my pictures are not very good as the lighting where i have this set is poor. the entire set of course is pierced carved in the finest fashion. the detail on this set is as good as i have ever seen in stanton hall. the finish is wonderful, however, my pictures are dull and that is not the true state of the finish. also the color of the wood and fabric is not exact by along shot. i will take the arm chairs outside tomorrow and get some pictures in the sunlight. the room they are in is inside the middle of my house and there are no windows there. anyway, i can get some much more accurate photos of the finish and colors of the wood and fabric and should anyone care to see them i will be more than happy to send them to you. also if there is anything else you want to see close up of, please ask and i will supply them as well. the legs are nicely carved, fluted, and contoured which does not show well in the pictures, nor does the carving in the center of the front of the seat support show very well. it is i promise you a very wonderful set. i am starting it at a money back price or less. i see a three piece set on ebay for 55K and 2 side chairs for 20K. the sofa is 66 inches wide, 49 inches tall, and the seat is

The settee and arm chair have nicely carved claw feet and the back of all three pieces have sea shell carved crests. there is also nice carving where the arms attach to the backs and carving down both sides of the backs of each piece. it has had new fabric put on the seats in the last 4 or 5 years, i forget for sure when i had that done. i have cleaned the wood and polished it. the sofa is a bit over 50 inches wide, a bit over 38.5 tall at the crest, and the depth of the seats on all three pieces is right at 20 inches. the rocker is 36 tall and 23 wide, the arm chairs 38.5 tall and 23 wide. i believe the casters are original to the sofa and arm chair, of course the rocker has none. it had a karpen paper tag that came off when recovering ... morea few years back. i forget what piece it was on but it fell off when removing the old fabric. i still have the tag somewhere. i will look for it and can send a picture of the tag should anyone care to look at it. it is in overall excellent shape to be 100 years old. there are a few minor dings in the wood, but none large enough to picture, the back of the arm chair has a couple of small depression in the wood, i don't think they showed in the pictures however. they don't amount to anything. actually there are no dings or dents in the wood that can be easily seen and are just consistent with age and use. the function of the set is not compromised in any way. it is very sturdy and solid. it is a great set. it can be picked up at my home or shipped at buyers expense. i can help arrange shipment if that would be helpful for anyone. good luck.

The fabric is buttoned and tufted and probably replaced somewhere along the line in a light plum or dark pink brocade fabric overlay. It has beige gimp against the original solid rosewood carved frame. Which is quite stunning. Rosewood is notoriously brittle and fragile wood, so it is unusual to find a set in this condition that has not been broken up. You won’t see a set like this for a long, long time. This set doesn’t look like it’s been used very much. It has hand-carved crests on the chair backs and couch back, scrolled carved arms, carved cabriole legs, and carved skirts, and still retains its original brass casters. The set consists of an oversized sofa, a gentleman’s armchair, and a lady’s sitting chair. The overall sizes of the pieces, starting with the sofa, are 84 inches wide on the outside, 68 inches wide on the inside, 28 inches deep front to back, 41 inches at the highest point on the back, and 34 inches high in the center, the arm is 22 inches high, and the seat is 18 inches high. for auction is a near mint condition outstanding antique joseph meeks stanton hall parlor set consisting of a sofa. One arm, and 2 side chairs. they are newly recovered with a gorgeous soft pink fabric that is nicely tufted. i said newly, the fabric may be a few years old but it is in new condition. i am not for sure what the fabric may be. i bought this set from a wealthy estate and it is possible that it is silk, but i can not be for sure. at any rate, it is a very fine fabric. there are no damages to the set as far as i can tell, save one of the casters on the sofa kept falling out so i put a dowel in the hole, glued it and redrilled it for the caster. other than that i know of no damage or repairs to the set. it is very sturdy with no wiggles or wobbles etc. the backs of the chairs are all nicely laminated. my pictures are not very good ... moreas the lighting where i have this set is poor. the entire set of course is pierced carved in the finest fashion. the detail on this set is as good as i have ever seen in stanton hall. the finish is wonderful, however, my pictures are dull and that is not the true state of the finish. also the color of the wood and fabric is not exact by along shot. i will take the arm chairs outside tomorrow and get some pictures in the sunlight. the room they are in is inside the middle of my house and there are no windows there. anyway, i can get some much more accurate photos of the finish and colors of the wood and fabric and should anyone care to see them i will be more than happy to send them to you. also if there is anything else you want to see close up of, please ask and i will supply them as well. the legs are nicely carved, fluted, and contoured which does not show well in the pictures, nor does the carving in the center of the front of the seat support show very well. it is i promise you a very wonderful set. i am starting it at a money back price or less. i see a three piece set on ebay for 55K and 2 side chairs for 20K. the sofa is 66 inches wide, 49 inches tall, and the seat is

Parlor set upholstered in a blue velour(i think that is what you would call the material. You can change the look from dark to light by brushing your hand across the material) the set is in near perfect condition. there are no imperfections in the material, and no noticeable dings, and no scratches in the wood work. It has been reupholstered with many tucks( a thumb nail tuck) the springs retied and all new stuffing. The nails are individual nails each placed one at a time. I think the wood is mahogany, it could be walnut. We are down sizing, and, this one of many pieces we will miss it is possible we can deliver. Captain's chair and sofa have 4 porcelain casters each and other pieces have casters only on two front legs. Unknown manufacturer or exact date. Was purchased at an estate sale and do not know any of the history for this set. A previous owner has recovered the set with a soft burgundy and gold fabric. All upholstery is well attached and clean. Entire set could use a good cleaning, especially in the carvings/grooves. There are several issues with this set, typical of normal age and use. Antique Karpen laminated Quarter Sawn Oak 3 pc.parlor set-Museum quality
I am offering this beautiful three piece antique karpen parlor set that is considered"Museum Quality" This circa 1875 set has very nice laminated oak backs. The red settee couch and green arm chairs have nicely carved claw feet and the front of all three pieces have finely detailed carved panels. There is also nice carving where the arms attach to the backs and carving down both sides of the backs of each of the three pieces. They have fabric that was put on the seats and backs approx. around 75 to 80 years ago. The springs and fabric on all three pieces are perfect and extremely comfortable to sit on. there are no rips, tears or repairs on any portion of the chairs or the couch. The wood on all three pieces is clean and has excellent patina. The only defect that is on any of these three pieces is a bruising on the lower panel of ... morethe Settee couch that is shown in photo 12. The sofa and chairs are 51 tall at the crest and the depth of the seats of the chairs and the couch is 28 inches. The chairs measure. 37-1/2" from arm to arm. The head sides measure 34" from tip to tip and the seat width is 24" The Couch is approximately 48" wide and 28" deep. I cannot emphasize enough that the function and beauty of this set is not compromised in any way. It is very sturdy and solid. Rare. Truly gorgeous 3 piece carved griffin parlor set made of birch with original patina. Beautiful carved set attributed to R. J. Horner purchased from a high end Estate. The sofa measures 39" tall by 47" wide by 20" deep. Arm chairs measure 39" tall by 22 1/2" wide by 20" deep. It has a two spots with small repair(picture number 9) on the chair back where the eagle design is located. There is also wear on the arms rests on the rocking chair, seat cushions were reupholstered in green fabric, overall the furniture is in excellent condition. 19th century parlor set. As you can see there is beautiful carving throughout. Still has original upholstery so slightly worn. There is some wear/damage to the right side inner armrest of the chair where it has been scratched by a cat. Photo 3) Also. The cushion that comes with the chair as well as one of the three couch cushions have bad zippers and need new foam. This is a 7 piece walnut Victorian parlor set consisting of a settee. Gent's chair, lady's chair, and 4 side chairs. The condition of this set is excellent. The finish is original. The fabric is impressive with only slight staining on the settee seat, and a slight spot of a stain on the back of the gent's chair, also a slight spot on the back of one side chair, and a slight spot on the seat of one side chair. These existing stains do not detract from the pieces and the eye is not immediately drawn to these slight stains. Notice the deep tufting and great shirring along the edge of all the seats- a lost art for many upholsterers. The color of the upholstery on the set is a lovely taupe/beige, which is wonderful, allowing it to work within the color schemes of most any room and also saving the buyer the added expense of reupholstering ... morein order for it to fit into your existing color scheme. The settee measures 56" wide x 42.5 tall x 21" deep. Notice the pronounced crest and all the applied and carved detailing. See how the 3 top applied small panels are outlined with ebonizing faced with burled walnut. Additional burled walnut panels are set above the settees upholstered backs and in the middle of the seat rail below. The pierced carved treatment in the center of the settee is nicely carved and well defined. The arms of the settee are rounded and curved. The legs are boldly turned. These same elements are repeated on all the chairs. The gent's chair with arms measures 46" high x 23.5" wide x 22" deep. The lady's chair measures 45.5" tall x 21" wide x 21" deep. The 4 side chairs measure 39" tall x 19" wide x19" deep. The gent's chair and the lady's chair retain all their original wooden castors. All other pieces retain original wooden castors on the front legs but the back legs have round flat metal tabs instead. These tabs do not stand out or detract from the beauty of the set.
