Button& tufted blue velvet fabric and porcelain casters intact on all four feet. This settee measures 37 3/4 inches in height from the floor to the top of the back center. A total length of 65 1/2 inches, with a seat width of 44 inches, seat depth of 21 inches, and seat height to the floor is 16 inches and this settee weighs approximately 55 lbs. Here for sale is a lovely small Edwardian/Victorian sofa. The frame has lovely carved walnut on both the centre back panel and on the arms, the arms terminated on brass cup castors with porcelain wheels( pictured) the chaise is in good order but would need recovering if you are worried about the odd marks that come with a piece of this age. Antique Childs Fancy Victorian Style Settee Sm Sofa Bench Upholstered Miniature
This sweet antique settee was recently brought in to my shop in Pennsylvania. It is an eye popping double take kind of vintage furniture. Miniature settee measures only approx 27" tall and 30" long and was intended for a small child(too large for dolls I think) The wood is a chippy shelac of some sort of light wood. Obviously vintage however I don't know how old it is exactly. Upholstered in a lace trimmed light pink stripe which is quite dirty. Offered for s ale is a Walnut and Burl Victorian Settee/ Sofa circa 1870. A beautifully carved f ramed center section is the focal of th is lovely sofa. The top of the frame or cr est rail f e atures a large round medallion of burl walnut. Flanked on each si de by burl panel s. Each corner has a swirled carving lea ding to open carvings separating back from the arms. The shaped hand rest offer incising and more burling. A roun ded seat rail is supported by ring turne d leg s. There is a repai r to the lower carvings between the arms a nd center(not really noticeable, unless upon close in s pection) These appe ar to be very solid and stu rdy and not an issue. I have shown this in the photos. The sm al l floral print fabric is in exc ellent condition showing only usage ware. No rips or holes. This is the perf ect settee for a bedroom. This 19th century sofa/ settee is just gorgeous and so uniquely crafted.definitely not your typical Victorian find! This sofa/settee features gorgeous walnut and burl walnut. Incised carvings, fancy carved crest at the center, carved draped scrolls, ring turned front legs and tapered back legs with casters intact on all four feet. This sofa/ settee measures 44 3/4 inches in height from the floor to the top of the carved crest at the back. A total length of 69 inches, seat width of 56 inches, seat depth of 20 inches and seat height of 18 inches and this settee/ sofa weighs approximately 85 lbs. The vintage black background floral fabric is in excellent vintage condition with no issues we can find and offers matching ... morecovered cord trim. This settee/ sofa is tight and sturdy and offers elegant seating. The back(sides up under the padded rests) do show some age shrinkage at the joints which which is common with pieces of this age. These joint areas have been re-glued and filled in at some point in time and appear tight and secure and not an issue. Here we have for offer a good Victorian mahogany Chesterfield style mahogany three seater settee dating to the second half of the 19th century. This good sized sofa has a well padded back with scrolled arms over a sprung seat being raised on mahogany turned legs with later castors. Condition wise the back and arms are fine being well stuffed and padded. The seat is comfortable but little soft in places although the springs have not gone and just need a little tightening and padding. We are selling a Victorian Settee- I'm not sure how old it is exactly but I'd guess that it's from the mid to late 1800's. I purchased it from an antique store a few years ago and they didn't have any information about it. It's a pretty teal color- the back is the same as the front(the flash from the camera makes it look a little lighter but it's not) It is nicely carved and the upholstery is in very good condition- no stains or rips. I am not sure if the upholstery is original or not. The sofa measures approximately 64" long. 25" wide and the seat sits at 16. Hi for sale I have a freshly reupholstered antique settee. My upholster upon recovering the piece discovered that the settee is from the late Victorian era. Very rare to see a painted piece of this age. He also thought that the settee might be European. Possibly Italian or French. At one time the settee was on castors or wheels. The piece sits a little low, so if you want more height you could add some castors. There are fittings for the castors on the bottom of the legs. At this height the settee is perfect for a bedroom or master bath. As stated in the title, I have had this piece totally cleaned, fixed, tightend, new cushions, new padding and I have had it recovered by a professional. with that said, the fabric, labor and materials added up to a great sum. This piece was purchased several years ago thru a local auction house. It was used for decoration only in my home. We never sat on it and now it's time to redo my living room. It is the size of a love seat in modern furniture terms, in very good condition but please view All the photos and judge for yourself! I think the fabric might be original, or at least it looks a part of the piece, it's also in great shape. Honestly you could just plunk this down in your home without doing a thing to it.
