The sofa still retains its original horse hair stuffing which is covered in a navy blue material. As you can tell the sofa is missing some veneer and ornamental applique pieces. I originally bought this sofa for a winter project, but found another sofa that I liked better. The pillows are not included, just for staging purposes. Classical Mahogany Victorian sofa circa 1840-50
Mahogany with serpentine crest-rail centered by a pierced scrolled carved crest over the tufted upholstered back flanked by out scrolled arms w/S- scrolled carved arm supports above the upholstered seat. Mahogany lower side panels joined by scrolled front legs on castors. Reupholstered in burgundy velvet. Circa 1840-50.
