The fabric has been replaced along the way with an antique beige that is all buttoned and pleated. It must have been done in the last 10 years or so as it is in lovely condition. The sofa is all tight and sturdy. The overall size is 68 inches wide on the outside of the arms, 48 inches wide on the inside of the arms, 28 inches deep, 38 inches high to the crest, 23 inches high to the arms and 16 inches high to the seat. It is a great looking sofa with a great patina on the wood frame.

Item- Antique late 1800s Eastlake cottage period love seat/settee. We are very pleased to be able to offer for your consideration this wonderful Eastlake love seat. This little Eastlake settee/ love seat is a classic example of the style. And for it's age it is still a very sturdy piece of furniture. Not only is it a beautiful piece, it is very comfortable too. This settee/love seat measures approximately 58 1/4 inches wide. It stands approximately 39 1/2 inches tall, it is approximately 25 1/2 inches front to back. Victorian Era Eastlake Loveseat Love seat Couch
We have a small love seat sofa for sale. Dated back to the 1800’s Victoria Era. This small sofa will fit in an apartment or a small cove of your home. It is 38” tall X 56” wide X approx 24” deep. There is no apparent damage that I can see. There is normal wear. I don’t think it has ever been reupholstered It is an olive greenish velvet. With swirls in it and it is tufted. The wood appears to be walnut and burl walnut. I believe it was made by the Charles Eastlake Company sometime in the late 1800’s. I don’t know the value of this sofa, so I am only starting this auction at $100.00. Illinois buyers have sales tax. This is a rare Salesman's sample Victorian loveseat which was used to show customers before purchasing the real thing. It is in really nice condition with original upholstery. The upholstery shows a little wear with no rips or tears. As you can see in the pictures the condition is very good. The wood has scrolling on the top and bottom front. It looks like walnut. One of the rear legs may have been replaced but. Can't be sure. The detail on this little piece is amazing. Antique Pink Victorian Couch Sofa Love Seat Shabby Chic SEE PICS 1800's Chair
You are looking at a Victorian style love seat/sofa. The wood is still in great condition with no visible wear. The couch is sill firm and sturdy and can be used for everyday living or just an ornamental conversation piece. The upholstery at the seat area has had maybe a coffee or tea spill. The fabric appears to be of satin. You can't tell the couch has spill stains on it from halfway across the room. The marks are subtle. The size is 58' across and 37 1/2 inches tall. It's just the perfect size where it won't take up too much space. The Clayton family brought this piece from their collection with them and had it moved in when they first had a summer house built in 1923 in what is now historic Avondale. These three pieces of furniture came from a farm home in North Carolina. The lady that owned them was considered an"old maid" as she never married. Velvet upholstery has no tears.
