It is 82" long and ... more39" high to the center at the back. This sofa is ornate with hand crafted hard wood decor about 2" thick in dark brown color of the grape and leaf patterns. The cushion is about 4" at highest point. 58" long without arm, and 20" deep. It is an original tanned upholstery with the small mauve flower pattern. It is decorated with some fabric buttons on the cushion. The cushion is very firm. There are 3 light water stains on the cushion sitting area as shown in the pictures. There is a small worn area on the fabric of the left arm. No major damage on the cushion. The cushion is 5" high from the floor. It has the brass rivets stitched along the cushion all the way around the front. The arm is 24 1/2" high from the floor. Each arm of the sofa has embossed hand crafted grape leaf design. There is a wooden surface damage on the top right arm. The stitching at the back along the left arm has come detached about 2" The legs are very stunning with the hand carvings on wood about 2 3/4" thick. The end of the legs have brass wheels about 1" diameter. There is a tear at the back on right foot area of the upholstery about 2" but it is not noticeable. The back felt cover is purple/ blue, it is faded. There are rusty nails holding back cover, that is partially torn off. The bottom of the couch covered with the fabric, it is old, has no tears. All the tears mentioned can be fixed. All is in great shape. This piece is really classic antique look, was kept well by our grandmother circa 1800's. Sold as is. Local pick-up only. This is a simply beautiful mahogany federal style sofa that probably dates from the 1900s era. In gorgeous condition. It has the big, curved ... moreswooped arms with a big bird’s head that curves around, acanthus carvings on the bottom, acanthus carved wings, rope-braided edge molding on the center of the bottom of the skirt, and great-looking claw foot legs with wings. The back has a rolled pillar back, which is Duncan Phyfe style. It’s rare when empire and Duncan Phyfe style join hands. And a little extra on this particular sofa, it has carved wings off the scrolled rolled back. The choice of upholstery on this sofa is excellent, and is a dark wine-colored fabric that looks mind-blowing against the reddish-brown stain finish. It’s in good shape, and there’s not much wrong with any of it. The seats are foam-filled and very comfortable, which is unusual for a sofa like this, which is usually uncomfortable. This one has removable foam cushions. The overall size is 76 inches wide, 28 inches deep, and 32 inches high on the arms. A very finely carved antique. Circa 1890's, solid mahogany, dynamic shaped, French Empire style enclosed sofa. The front and back feet are carved claw on bun feet, the legs with carved stiff feathered wings. The skirt is carved as acanthus rosettes entwined. The arm supports are carved as stiff curving acanthus leaf, the terminal as an eagle head having acanthus neck. The back rest is carved as a swag of laurel and berry cross bound with ribbons. The fine modern fabric is a golden color with scrolling floral pattern. Sofa measures 80" wide by 46" tall by 29-1/2" deep. The seat proper measures 65" by 22" the surface of the seat 18" from the floor. Excellent condition: original dark red-brown unworn finish, no chips or cracks. The fabric is without soiling, fading, or wear.

Oak Fainting Coach - Roman Divan Couch - Claw Feet - New Tapestry
These were originally described as a Roman Divan Couch when sold and are much more versatile than a fainting couch in two many ways. A fainting couch has a flat end and a elevated reclining end and a fixed back. While this a couch can be turned into a fainting couch from either side. Both arms can be adjusted from upright as shown and then three positions down until flat. Also the back is removable. So it just slips out. It can be used in any corner of the room in any position. I have had it a little over 20 years, I had it professionally recovered, only used as a show piece. Note how all the stripes line up, arms match and each pleat on the front matches identically. Up for sale is a Beautiful Antique Parlor Settee. I was told it was from the 1800's but I'm not sure. Could be from early 1900's. Looks like it is made of cherry wood with two claw feet. Upholstery is in great condition, although you can change it. If you look at the top of the loveseat, you will see it needs to be restored.
