It is 82" long and ... more39" high to the center at the back. This sofa is ornate with hand crafted hard wood decor about 2" thick in dark brown color of the grape and leaf patterns. The cushion is about 4" at highest point. 58" long without arm, and 20" deep. It is an original tanned upholstery with the small mauve flower pattern. It is decorated with some fabric buttons on the cushion. The cushion is very firm. There are 3 light water stains on the cushion sitting area as shown in the pictures. There is a small worn area on the fabric of the left arm. No major damage on the cushion. The cushion is 5" high from the floor. It has the brass rivets stitched along the cushion all the way around the front. The arm is 24 1/2" high from the floor. Each arm of the sofa has embossed hand crafted grape leaf design. There is a wooden surface damage on the top right arm. The stitching at the back along the left arm has come detached about 2" The legs are very stunning with the hand carvings on wood about 2 3/4" thick. The end of the legs have brass wheels about 1" diameter. There is a tear at the back on right foot area of the upholstery about 2" but it is not noticeable. The back felt cover is purple/ blue, it is faded. There are rusty nails holding back cover, that is partially torn off. The bottom of the couch covered with the fabric, it is old, has no tears. All the tears mentioned can be fixed. All is in great shape. This piece is really classic antique look, was kept well by our grandmother circa 1800's. Sold as is. Local pick-up only. I was told that reupholstering does not effect value as it's a very common practice and whoever did it was smart enough to leave the underside all original. The settee and chair are hand carved. Hand inlay with many different woods and with mother of pearl! They have hand carved ball and claw feet and very unique shapes. That more then makes up for ugly fabric. Welcome to my auction for our Chaise longue which we have no room for. Was re-covered approx 5 years ago and still looks very good. Length is 2000mm. Height is 810mm and width is 660mm. Comes with a rectangular cushion as well made with the same material. The wood is generally in good order but expect little nicks and cracks as it is approx 140 years old at a guess? None of the springs are broken and still has the origional stuffing. No woodworm or funny smells! I think the best one you will find at the moment on ebay. This piece was purchased several years ago thru a local auction house. It was used for decoration only in my home. We never sat on it and now it's time to redo my living room. It is the size of a love seat in modern furniture terms, in very good condition but please view All the photos and judge for yourself! I think the fabric might be original, or at least it looks a part of the piece, it's also in great shape. Honestly you could just plunk this down in your home without doing a thing to it. This sofa/ couch was made in the Civil War era. 1820-1860) It is 82" long and 39" high to the center at the back. This sofa is ornate with hand carved walnut wood about 2" thick in dark brown color of the grape and leaf patterns. The cushion is about 4" at highest point. 58" long without arm, and 20" deep. It is an original tanned upholstery with the small mauve flower pattern. It is decorated with some fabric buttons on the cushion. The cushion is very firm. There are 3 light water stains on the cushion sitting area as shown in the pictures. There is a small worn area on the fabric of the left arm. No major damage on the cushion. The cushion is 5" high from the floor. It has the brass rivets stitched along the cushion all the way around the front. The arm is 24 1/2" high from the floor. Antique Victorian 3-piece furniture set
Antique Victorian three-piece set: settee. Gentleman's chair and ladies chair. Wood appears to be mahogany, finish is in good condition with some minor scratches here and there. Settee is upholstered in gold velour and is in good shape. Chairs are upholstered in a gold"brocade" with some fraying of the trim. The chairs need to be re-glued and the settee has a bottom support piece dislodged. It does not appear to interfere with the integrity of the piece, but it should probably be looked at by a professional. I believe the original horsehair stuffing is still inside the upholstered seats and backs, but not 100% sure of that. All pieces have their original wheels.
