This gorgeous set ... morefeatures a triple back sofa with framed center section. The curved crest rail offers a beautiful reticulated leaf carved crest with an inlaid center rosette. Each end also offers curved crest rails. All three sections have beautifully tufted backs. Open padded arms lead to wonderfully carved hand rest with with incised carving and large drop finials. A shaped seat rail is supported by four turned legs and original brass capped casters. This fantastic sofa does have an old repair to one end which appears to be very sturdy and secure and one rosette at the left end of the sofa has some inlay loss. Thank goodness the repair is there or by today's standards it would have been in the dump and we would have lost this wonderful piece of art~just my opinion. The vintage cream colored fabric does show some ware on one corner and arm and needs a gentle cleaning. Please look closely and enlarge the pictures as all the detail cannot be shown in 12. Measurements: 45 inches high 68 inches long 33 inches deep 18 floor to seat weight 35 lbs. The matching chair features the same beautifully carved crest drop finials and turned legs. Up for auction is this beautiful Victorian Rococo loveseat with a magnificent. Highly carved walnut frame. It measures approximately 40 inches high and 66 inches at its longest point. The seat height is 16 inches. The seat measures 21 inches deep. If you measure from where the back of the frame where it touches the wall, to the front of the seat, it measures approximately 30.5 inches deep. It has its original 4 casters. The springs are in good condition. And there are no tears in the fabric. It does have a spot with some light staining, which we never noticed until we were checking it closely for the description. There's one repair on the end of the apron, which can be seen in two of our pictures. It is a 2 inch by 2 inch by 1.5 inch triangle. This is not part of the leg, only a part of the apron. No reserve. Recently picked them up at an auction. The wood on these pieces is just beautiful. Probably made in the 1880s to 1890s. I think the wood type is mahogany. But may be walnut, you be the judge. The carvings and scrollings are all still intact and were nicely done. The rocker was certainly used more than the settee and shows wear on the arms to the finish. On the left side of the settee the frame has a split in it that was corrected sometime quite a while ago. There is a bolt thru the repair that was not a part of the original piece. See the pic. I picked this piece up in the condition it is in, so cannot speak to when it was reupholstered, but it was done well ... moreand with a material that is very attractive and heavy, no flimsy stuff here. The pieces are all still tightly together at the joints. The rocker still has both its' springs. The roller wheels are both on the settee's front legs. The rocker is 39.25" tall. We are selling a Victorian Settee- I'm not sure how old it is exactly but I'd guess that it's from the mid to late 1800's. I purchased it from an antique store a few years ago and they didn't have any information about it. It's a pretty teal color- the back is the same as the front(the flash from the camera makes it look a little lighter but it's not) It is nicely carved and the upholstery is in very good condition- no stains or rips. I am not sure if the upholstery is original or not. The sofa measures approximately 64" long. 25" wide and the seat sits at 16. This auction is for a really pretty antique victorian love seat/settee. I think the wood is walnut. The decoration across the top wood looks like nuts or fruit and flowers of some kind that is carved. The velvet material is a very pale reddish cranberry. The pictures are very true to the color. The back is tufted. The wood frame is pretty sturdy. It measures about 59 inches long from the widest part of the wood frame on top. It stands about 34 inches tall to the top of the fruit. The loveseat is upholstered in a neutral fabric and the pillows come with it. The front of the seat is serpentine also and it has a nicely carved finger-molding, and the cabriole front legs and rear legs are plain and square. Originally made for Parlors and drawing rooms but is the perfect size for today's smaller bedrooms. Looks great at the end of a bed. Victorian Loveseat, Couch, Antique circa 1850
This Victorian Cameo Heart Back Sofa is made of black walnut. Serpentined back with clusters of grape medallions above each of three crests. Center cameo is outlined in thumb molded walnut in an inverted heart design with rounded end. Carved floral carved ends extending to floral knees and whorl feet on casters. One back caster is missing. The upholstery is gold Chinoiserie brocade. It is 62" long and Circa 1850. It came to my Mother in 1987 and prior to that her Aunt owned it in Pennsylvania. A very unusual settee or loveseat. This appears to be Victorian Empire with a dark red/black flame mahogany frame, likely late 1800s. Origins unknown. Loveseat is a simple, yet elegant piece of furniture with a floral motif on curved wings on each end of the back. Dimensions: 42" tall by 48" long. It has its ORIGINAL GREEN VELVET UPHOLSTERY with original tooled brass fabric nails and appears to be stuffed with horse hair or straw. The varnish on the wood is so old that it has a"reticulated" appearance- love it! The legs gently curve with"demi claw" feet that have three toes, more like a heron's feet than an eagle. Antique Victorian Carved Walnut Loveseat C.1875 with Gout Stool
A Victorian carved walnut settee from the late 1800's. It measures 55" from arm to arm and the height is 40" The frame and body is in very good condition with original casters. The upholstery has been replaced with a colorful delicate flower pattern. The walnut is nicely carved. And in very good condition other than a few scratches and small marks on the wood, which are consistent with age. All sales are final. This sale is pick up only. Comes with gout stool! This is a beautiful Victorian Love Seat. We have had this in our family for over 50 years. I don't know the exact age of this Love Seat but I know it still has the original horse hair stuffing. It has caster on the bottom of the legs for ease in moving the love seat. The left arm of the Love Seat needs some work but other than that the Love Seat is in good condition for its age. The old finish is very fine on this American made furniture. Three dimensional carving and piercing shows masterful artistry. There is a loss to the top rose of the crest, see photos. Very nice lines to this set. Settee has damage on one arm and will need to be repaired. Please see photos as I have tried to take photos showing what will need to be repaired. The two chairs are in good shade but when recovered could use a good overall tightening up. Fabrics can be used as is but does show wear. Settee is missing the two buttons that were once in each corner. Springs on one chair will need to be retied. Wonderful renaissance revival settee from the 1850s or 1860s. What a lovely piece; she's in very good condition. This is techically pre"Eastlake" And likely from before the Civil War.
