It is in good condition, with no holes or tears, but the knap of the velvet is worn almost ... moreoff in some areas. I am unsure of the exact age or origins of the sofa, but I do know that it dates to the late 1960s. It is finished in a pale golden yellow velvet that is almost a shimmery beige and has a classic tufted design that is coming back into style. The sofa does have a few small stains on it, as well as some staining from general use over the years. It has obviously been very well cared for. It does not include the throw pillows shown in the photo. It is an extra-long sofa, and measures 26” tall at the armrest, 32” tall, 22” deep at the seat, 14” high at the seat, 35” deep total, and is 116” long.

It is a unique, beautiful antique fainting couch, and comes with a total of three matching decorative pillows. The couch is upholstered in a velvet material and features extra-long fringe around the bottom perimeter that gives it such unique appeal. The fringe is still firmly attached to the sofa. It has a solid seat surface with a tufted back and side. I believe that the velvet was once a rich green color, but it is now very faded to a sort of yellow. The sofa is 31” tall at the back, 19” tall at the seat, 52” long at the seat, 20” deep at the seat, 22” deep total, and 65” long total.

Beautiful and clean 1860's three piece sofa set! One loveseat and two matching chairs! Ornate hand carved wood detailing that can only e described through pictures! One tiny chip off of one arms detail is the only issue with this set. Other than that this set has been carefully cherished. Wood is in great shape, has been well cared for and not allowed to dry and crack. This set is recommended for someone to love in a controlled environment, as it is a very elegant set. The fabric is a light pink, and the design is shown in the pictures. Aesthetic Movement 3 piece Victorian Parlor Set. Hard to Find!
American Aesthetic Movement three piece Parlor Set. Look around on Ebay at all the"attributed' to this or that maker" and their outrageous prices. This is a three piece set. Settee and two matching chairs. Its not a'high end' set but a set you would expect to find in prosperous Middle upper middle class Victorian home. Most likely it was made in either Grand Rapids or Cincinnati. Its not Herter, not Jeliff. The American Aesthetic Movement was a bridge from the more formal Empire and early Victorian furniture to Craftsman and Art Noveau. Common themes were Anglo Japanesque or in this case an Acanthus leaf design that goes up either side of the main settee and is repeated on the arm and side designs. This set has older upholstery that I estimate is maybe 6-8 yrs old. As is common with Red Upholstery(there is some sun fading ... moremostly on the settee) but it does not really take away from the overall beauty of the set. It looks like the upholsterer did good job. They did make a common, and wise, repair to the"floating back" settee design by replacing the"dowelled" connection with a lag bolt and side screws. This makes for stronger back. Some of the gimp has been recently replaced and you can tell the old from the new. Settee back is tight and the arms are good and secure. Obviously this is not something you want your kids jumping on. Its a formal parlor set. The chairs look really great and don't have a much sun fade as the settee They are good and tight. I have tried to describe these as well as I can. They are not"museum pieces" I originally planned to reupholster these in a two tone aesthetic pattern but I have carriage house full of projects and not enough time to get around to them. Beautiful 19th Century french set that I had reupholstered by a professional italian Upholsterer approx 9 years ago with Scalamandre heavy duty upholstery that cost approx $400 a yard 9 years ago. This auction includes more than 7 1/2 extra yards of this fabric for you to do anything you like. Drapes, accents, pillows, whatever. Also, this upholterer put reinforcers on the sofa piece and I have taken a picture of one of the reinforcers underneath the leg in the 8th picture. Carved beautifully, rare. This is a very very old set so there are some nicks in the wood that can be touched up but it was made very sturdy. The upholstery is PERFECTION. This set was just for show and never really sat on or used and then you get all this extra Scalamandre fabric. I am taking a huge loss on this set but i moved from a huge 5 bedroom house to a small townhome ... moreand do not have room for it. Do not let distance stop you from getting this set. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN 3 PIECE PARLOR SET CAMEO BACK SOFA SETTEE & SIDE CHAIRS
Offered is a three piece Victorian Parlor Set including a cameo back settee/ sofa and two matching side chairs circa 1860. The pieces have carved walnut details. This is a truly beautiful set. Sturdy and in very good antique condition. The two side chairs have some small repairs to the wood(see photos) but they look to be professionally repaired and not noticeable unless you look closely. There is also a small crack in the wood on the settee but again it not very noticeable(see photo) The pieces appear to have been reupholstered and the upholstery and braid trim are in excellent condition. The settee measures 57 1/2" wide by 31" deep by 36" tall. Please look closely at the photos. I am happy to answer your questions. This items are available for local pick up only. Antique Victorian 3-piece furniture set
Antique Victorian three-piece set: settee. Gentleman's chair and ladies chair. Wood appears to be mahogany, finish is in good condition with some minor scratches here and there. Settee is upholstered in gold velour and is in good shape. Chairs are upholstered in a gold"brocade" with some fraying of the trim. The chairs need to be re-glued and the settee has a bottom support piece dislodged. It does not appear to interfere with the integrity of the piece, but it should probably be looked at by a professional. I believe the original horsehair stuffing is still inside the upholstered seats and backs, but not 100% sure of that. All pieces have their original wheels. These are family pieces that have been in our family since they were purchased new by my great-grandparents. Prior to 1900, from what I have been told. Rococo Revival Victorian 3 Piece carved Roses Parlor Settee and Chairs
