It has a few small chips and manufacturing and firing flaws, but the imperfections only add to this unique piece's nostalgic character. Elaborately Decorated 3 Gal. Remmey Baltimore, MD Stoneware Crock Jar Pot
Up for your consideration is a scarce 3 gallon Remmey pot made while potting in Baltimore. MD. This piece is probably around 1840.I'm saying Baltimore because he used the same decoration on a few water coolers at the time and the collar and heavy lug handles look more Baltimore than Philadelphia, PA but it could go either way. Some experts could probably tell one from the other. The crock is decorated with large vertical floral designs front and back with cobalt brush work to the handles ends and hanging flowers below the lugs. It is 13 1/4" tall.9" on the top.6 1/2" on the bold footed base and 34" around the ovoid middle. There is a flake off the rim and a tight spider hairline coming up the the base 3 1/2" The crock is a sound as from the kiln. This is a very early 1920's primitive stoneware crock bowl. It has a heavy brown glaze. You can see it was hand turned. 10 1/4" wide and 4 3/4" tall. It is very heavy. Listed is a Kaukauna Klub Crock. Manufactured by Kaukauna Dairy Company. Kaukauna Wisconsin. Container also reads: It Sp reads Like Butter Copyright 1933" Measures about 4-1/4" Tall. And about 4-1/4" In diameter. Holds about 24oz of liquid. The item is missing the original lid. It does have some crazing and wear from age. One small surface chip at the very bottom side. There is a glass lid that comes with this item that makes a good cover for storage.

Antique Butter Churn Stoneware 6 gallon Catawba NC Two Style Handle Rare 18'5"
Up for auction is this rare and complete Catawba Valley butter churn in excellent condition. It is the largest size made and few still exist so its quite a fine piece of history. Catawba pottery is famous for the alkaline stoneware made from the river valley of western North Carolina. Has number 6 imbedded below handle and comes with churn lid and wooden dasher. This also tells me with the style and location of the number that it is a Reinhardt piece. Another tell tale sign its a Reinhardt is the ribbing or rings that you can see and feel going around the base of churn. I captured that in the 6th picture on the inside. I couldnt get a good picture of the ribbing on the outside but it is noticable and adds more character. The handles are of two styles. One of a pig ear or lug. The other is a large loop handle. This style of churn handle was ... moredeveloped to make carrying such a large churn easier. The bottom of lid has a one inch chip/crack that was done prior to glaze and firing so its a mfg default. Its the way it was made, not at all noticable(I felt it before I saw it) but please see picture for reference. The small crack/chip is filled with glaze and is nice and smooth. Measures 18.5" tall with lid on. Top rim measures almost 10" across. Bottom measures 10.25" across. The middle is a bit wider than both top and bottom but difficult to get accurate dimention. Handle to handle is 13" I took pictures outdoors. Just want to be sure you get to see accurate pictures and colors. Also the 41" dash has a crack in the bottom portion of the wood handle. Would not be seen when inside churn. Churn alone weighs 26lbs. It will be shipped carefully with foam ect and have listed it at 30lbs for packing/box weight. The dash will have to be shipped separate and would be around $15.00 extra. I will refund any shipping costs over my cost for materials. I get boxes free, but nothing else. Antique 2 Gallon Stoneware Crock, Fort Edward Stoneware Co.
A very nice 2 gallon crock from Fort Edward Stoneware Co. in Fort Edward N.Y. It's condition is pretty good. There are 2 chips on the outer rim. One is 1/2" and the other is 1/4" both are located towards the back of the crock. Right next to the larger chip is a very faint hairline crack, it is somewhat visable in the last 2 photos. Also there are some small small areas or discoloration, again visable in the photos. The Crock stand 9 1/4" tall and 9 1/2" across the base. All in all this is a very nice crock for its age. This is a wonderful small salt glaze crock surrounded by hearts. There are 5 large blue hearts in total. The crock is a great size measuring 3 1/2" x 5 1/4" The crock has the name Ellis indented on the bottom. I bought it in the 1970's. A very fine 2Gal. Storage Crock or Jar from Bennington. Vermont, ca.1860. The impressed stamp on the shoulder is Cobalt-Washed and reads: J. NORTON& CO. BENNINGTON, VT. This mark is extremely scarce. It dates to the 3-year period when Julius Norton and his son, Luman Preston(aka L.P. worked together from 1859-1861. When Julius died in 1861, the named changed to the more familiar E. L.P. NORTON. More information can be found in Ketchum's"American Stoneware" pp.43-44. The decoration. A prolific Cobalt Floral Bouquet, covers the entire front of the piece. It is very bold, impressive and will not disappoint. Two firmly applied Lug Handles, and rich, brown Albany Slip interior. Vintage Pottery Crock With Ear Handles And Navy Stripes
For your consideration. A 7 1/2" tall, 18" around the widest part, and 4 1/2" a cross the jar opening, crock. There is some light crazing from age. There are a few tiny holes in the glaze where impurities broke out during firing, please see the pictures. This little crock is perfect for flowers, or kitchen utensils. I used it for cold milk, or dough storage. With a piece of cheesecloth tied around the top, it keeps food very well. There is a stamp on the bottom that I cannot read. It sure looks like RRP to me. Salt Glazed 2 Gal Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Flower
Antique salt glazed stoneware 2 gallon crock with Albany Slip inside. Exterior is an oatmeal color with a large cobalt blue 3 petal flower and leaves. Marking incised at the top front is J. Fisher and Lyons(place) There is a soft hairline 7 1/2 inches long from the top rim past the right ear that is surface and does not transfer to the inside and does not hurt the integrity of this fine piece of early Americana. No other damage.

Up for auction we have a White Hall Illinois 10 gallon salt glazed stoneware crock. It is believed to be ca. 1926 and it is 16 1/2 inch tall. It dose have a 3 inch line at the top of the crock which you can view in the pictures. Other than that the crock is in great condition. The crock has it's original wire and wood handles.
