Impressed Marked on bottom“Peoria Pottery” Raised Band detail at center with solid Finger handle. Jug is VERY GOOD++++! No cracks. No breaks, no repairs! No chipping with exception to“old” minor chipping to very bottom edge where it sits. Light scratching here and there with some dulling to the rich Deep Brown/Black finish. There are highlights to lighter brown and the expected glaze pops and make anomalies which are all common and expected. One. Two tone Dark brown glazed pottery 3 gallon crock lid. Has a decorative unglazed circle and button handle. Measures about 11" in diameter for a crock with a 9" opening. In good condition with a fairly substantial nick on the inner rim but doesn't affect a good fit. Has no cracks but has some"water spots" and some lines in the glazing(not cracks) Another E-bayer had a very similar lid at auction and said it is an Illionios or Ohio Pottery lid. This auction is for a 6 1/4" unique dark brown crock(maker unknown) This small antique/vintage crock is glazed in very dark brown. It stands 6 1/4” high and is 5” across at the base. It has no lid. It is in good condition. There are a few nicks not really chips on rim and a couple on the body as seen in pictures. No cracks or repairs. Estate Fine One Antique Redware Jar Shinny Glaze with one chip on the brim. No cracks Height.10 in. high. Across top 5 1/4,Across bottom 6 1/2 in. I'm pretty sure this is from Connecticut.The shoulder has an incised encircling ring recognized to be by Connecticut potters.1830-50 Also has the manganese glaze marks.You really can't see the marks cause the crock is a Dark brown color,So I used the flash on the camera with half the pictures making the jar light brown. The first and last five pictures were taken with the flash.This exact jar is made with a ligther brown color like the pictures taken with the flash.This jar is Dark Brown.

Antique primitive Vintage Dark Brown Crock Jar Wax Seal?
Antique dark brown crock jar used for vegetables or fruit. The lid was sealed to the jar with wax i believe. Such jars date back to the 1200's however this one is probably from the late 1800's- to the early 1900s. It is in very good condition considering it's age. The inside rim is rough and has small chips. As you can see in the picture. There is some discoloration at the bottom, appears to be a manufacturing flaw. Otherwise there are no other cracks, other chips and the glaze is in good condition. This would be a great addition to a collection. Pictures are part of description also. I will combine postage I have considerable inventory I need to consolidate and doesn't help that I keep adding to it. If you find something you like remember I will combine postage.

It has a rich, dark brown glossy glaze with a silvery/green iridescence. The 1st and 2nd photos are the closest in color to the actual. The shot of the interior is not as dark as my photo. It is not marked. Size: 7 1/8"d X 5"h- approx. dimensions Quantity: 1- Crock Condition: VERY GOOD- no cracks but there are couple. Shallow chips on the top lip. One is just inside the lip, and the other is on the outside. Neither are bad(1/4"d) and they just add to it's primitive appeal. There are many tiny scratches in both the exterior and interior from years of use. The glaze is fabulous and there are bubbles, glaze pops, skipped glaze, and flakes- all factory flaws. This dark brown vintage/antique glazed stoneware crock has an interesting shape. Different from most. It stands 7” high. Is 5 7/8” across the bottom and 4 1/2” across at the top opening. It is in very good condition. There is one small chip at the base. Almost invisible unless turned upside down. There is an interesting effect on one side where it looks like the glazing was applied unevenly. With some of the stoneware surface still showing through. There is no lid.

This is a rich brown old croak. It has a cover but some chips on the cover only. On the crock itself there is a circle defect if that is what it should be called on one side. I think it was probably from the making of the crock originally. Just adds to the piece. Its a nice size of 9 1/2" high and 6" across the top opening. Offered is this vintage or antique dark brown and beige glazed stoneware“beanpot” crock with handle and lid. The crock features a blue crown and“2” stamped on the front and is marked“ USA” on the bottom. The crock sits about 6 1/4” high. Including the lid and is approx. 7 1/2” across, including the handle. It holds 2 quarts of liquid(actually about 4 oz. more if filled completely to the rim) It is in very good condition; the only problem is a very small(about 1/4” chip on the edge of the top side of the lid. This chipped area is slightly larger on the underside of the lid.

This auction is for a Vintage North State Crock with Gray And Dark Brown Glaze With 3rd Mark on bottom. I looked it up. And that mark was done Pre 1960. There is also a light purple hue in some areas. The crock or bowl with a handle measures 6 1/2 inches from the end of the handle to the opposite end of the crock. It is about 3 inches tall. NO CRACKS, ONE 1/8" CHIP NEAR RIM, NO CRAZING THE FOLLOWING IS AN EMAIL RECIEVED FROM A FELLOW EBAYER: This crock was made by Sherwood Brothers pottery in New Brighton PA between the late 1890's- through the 1930's. They were referred to as packing jars. Commonly used for olives. The jar would have had a wire/wood bail handle attached to the two ears on the jar. It would have had a clear glass lid held in place by a rod through two off the three holes in the lip. The third hole, slighty lower in the lip, is a drain for fluid duing the filling/sealing process. They came in two sizes and solid brown, like yours and two tone, brown and tan.

This is an old vintage crock which has no makers mark on the bottom or sides. It is 6" tall by 5 9/16" with an inside diameter of 4 3/4" There are some firing pit marks on the sides and some other marks. I did not try to clean it. Please pay with Paypal. Up for your consideration is this Antique Dark Brown Salt glazed crock. As you can see by the bottom it states Minnesota Stoneware Co. Redwing, MN. This company existed until 1906 when it merged with Red Wing Stoneware. I know this is old as I found it in my grandmothers old farmhouse when we cleaned it out. For the age this piece it is in good condition-there are a few glazing spots and minor chips on the inside lip edge as you can see by the photos. Measures about 6" diameter and 7" tall.
