It has two twisted handles. The bottom is marked either 801 or 301. Can't quite make it out. I believe this is a hand crafted decorative arts piece. No lid. I have had it for about 15 years ... moreand just used it as a decorative. Condition: very good vintage/ used condition. There are some minor flaws; a flake inside bottom of crock/ pot which can be seen in the pictures. A very minor hairline from top edge; approximately 1-1/4" on the side near one of the handles. Does not reach the handle. Very minor in my opinion. There is some crazing common to a piece of this age. There are some areas of relections in the images, including a grayish cast, sorry. Approximate dimensions: 27" around, just below the handles- 23" around the bottom- 6-1/2" deep- 6-1/4" across the opening- 9-1/4" across handle to handle. This bean pot/ crock is a nice heavy weight. The pot has the Maple Leaf USA mark on the bottom signifying it was produced by the Monmouth Pottery Company. On the outside it is blue washed with a floral design It also has blue on the handles This stoneware crock is a hair under 4.5" tall and is 6" across the brim. This crock has a hairline crack across the bottom as shown. But it is not loose. Very primitive looking! This item will be wrapped well and double boxed to assure it's safe arrival.

It is a one-handled bean pot from a New England farm, and was made that way-handle is undamaged. The clay pot has damage-it has a flattish chip along the side of the top edge(see pics) and it has a crack going vertically down one side which branches below it to a horizontal crack near bottom-I have included close-up pic and several other pics identifying this damage for your inspection, this crock is not vintage but is older and antique(please see pics and be aware of the damage-sold'as is' Perhaps this old bean pot could be re-purposed into another piece or for use in a rustic art project. The bean pot is in very good condition with no chips or cracks including the lid. It shows crazing due to the age. It measures 6 inches tall to the top of the finial on the lid and 7 ½ inches across to the end of the handle. The crock itself is 5 ½ inches tall and 5 ¼ inches in diameter. Vintage Antique Brown Stoneware Crock Bean Pot Stamped Blue Crown 2 on Bottom
Nice old stoneware crock in a glossy dark brown glaze. Stamped on bottom with Crown logo and"2" in blue(or greenish blue) ink. One handle and a lid. Lid may not be original to the piece(I got this at an estate auction) As it is a much lighter color glaze, more like a caramel. Lid also has a large chip. Looks like it might hold 2 quarts. This piece measures approx. 5.5" tall and 5" in diameter across the base, giving it a full, rounded shape. There are some bare spots, running, and bumps in the glaze that appear to be original to manufacture. Otherwise, no major chips, cracks, fractures, crazing, or other damage.
