The glazing on this crock is in beautiful condition, inside and out. The crock has no markings on it but I suspect it was made locally as S.E. The lid fits perfect but it is a darker brown than the other. I don't know if it was meant to be like this or another lip was put on it. There is a small chip on the outside of the crock at the bottom edge and a small chip where the color turns from beige to brown. The crock measures 4 3/4" across the bottom 3 1/2" at the opening and is 7" tall with the lid on. I do have the item pictured with a soda can or an orange ruler to help with visual size comparisons. Wisconsin Porcelain Company of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin(1919 to Present) 100% True Heavy Porcelain, American Art Pottery, Crock-Jar and Lid with a Brown Speckled and Mottled Gloss Beige Glaze Application along with Gold Trim in"Near-Mint" Used Condition, Circa 1930s to 1970s(or Possibly Later) which was Manufactured for an Unknown Purpose or Client at the time of this listing. This superb heavy porcelain crock-jar has no chips. Cracks, glaze crazing, scratches, scuffs, stains, repairs or factory flaws of any kind. I've graded its condition as being"Near-Mint" because when you look at the gold trim which was only applied to the lid you will see some tiny specks where some of the gold is either thin or worn away. You can see this close up by using the"Super Size" and"Zoom" ... morefeatures I've provided and you'll also see the worn gold isn't that noticeable. It really doesnt' hurt the aesthetic value of this fine crock, but it must be pointed out for accuracy sake. This jar measures about 3 3/8 inches tall with the lid on and without the lid it measures about 3 inches tall. Across the top it measures about 3 3/4 inches in diameter and the inside top opening is about 3 3/8 inches in diameter. The very bottom was left dry without glaze and it's sightly recessed which leaves a 1/2 inch wide ring base for the piece to rest on. The lid for this jar actually hangs over the top ridge so it measures about 4 7/8 inches in diameter and it's about 1 1/8 inches thick. The mark on the bottom is in-mold and it reads"Wisconsin Porcelain Co. within a recessed circle. This crock-jar was made from a true porcelain and it's a heavy porcelain piece weighing just over 2 pounds at exactly 2 pounds. 1.1 ounces. When you weigh the bottom jar section by itself it weighs 1 pound, 4.7 ounces and the lid by itself weighs 12.4 ounces. Offered is this vintage or antique dark brown and beige glazed stoneware“beanpot” crock with handle and lid. The crock features a blue crown and“2” stamped on the front and is marked“ USA” on the bottom. The crock sits about 6 1/4” high. Including the lid and is approx. 7 1/2” across, including the handle. It holds 2 quarts of liquid(actually about 4 oz. more if filled completely to the rim) It is in very good condition; the only problem is a very small(about 1/4” chip on the edge of the top side of the lid. This chipped area is slightly larger on the underside of the lid.

Up for auction is a very nice crock. Stamped on the bottom THE BUCKEYE POTTERY CO. MACOMB ILL. This crock was actually quite dirty until I washed it with Dawn, I didn't even know it said any of this! There are no markings on the outside that I can see. I measured how much water this crock holds, and actually it can hold 21 cups of water.to the tip top. Inside measurements are a little less that 6.5 inches, and outside lip to lip measures 7.5 inches. The crock measures a little more than 7.5 inches tall. As you can see by the pictures. There are a few cracks. I do not know true age, my research indicated between 1880's and 1930's. Since these are not something that I collect personally, I am just using a lot of info from the web. The pitcher on the right is 5 1/2 inches in height and has USA makers mark on the bottom. It also has three chips in various places as well as some splatter type staining. Beige And Brown Bail Lid Crock Cookie? Jar
The bail wire is missing. I am selling this for a friend that has no idea of its age and there are no maker marks or stickers. This jar measures 8 1/2 inches tall by b 3/4 inches in diameter overall. It holds 8 cups up to the bottom of the brown paint and weighs almost 4 pounds. There is no airtight seal on the lid and no evidence of ever having one so I am not sure what this was used for. Possibly a"child proof cookie jar" There is 1 small chip on the bottom edge of the jar and 4 on the edge of the lid that I will show in the pictures. ANTIQUE ROBINSON RANSBOTTOM BLUE CROWN BUTTER CHURN This is a great antique butter churn crock. It features the number 3 with a blue crown which signifies it as a Robinson RANSBOTTOM pottery piece. It is in very good shape for the age. It has some light crazing inside and out. There is also a chip on the lid(top) I looked the crock over very carefully and there are NO cracks to note. Take a look at the pictures and you will be able to confirm this. Awesome piece and great condition considering it's age. This crock measures just under 14" on it's own and it is 35" to the top of the wooden handle. When shipped I will package into two cartons due to the length of the wooden churn. This rustic and primitive looking VICTORIA crock is in good vintage condition with wear consistent with it's age and use. It is a good solid sturdy crock that shows some signs of wear. There are 2 chips in the outer rim. One measures about 3/4" and the other about 1 1/4" This empty crock from bygone times stands about 7" tall. About 4 3/4" in diameter, and weighs just under 3 pounds. The crock was purchased from an estate sale. Was dusted off a little, and comes as shown in the pictures. This rustic and attractive English crock can be used for cooking or decorative purposes. I keep my wooden spoons next to the stove in old containers like these.
