Old Antique Redwing 5 Gallon Stoneware Crock Jug Butter Churn Red Wing
We have this old Redwing butter churn crock to offer in good as found condition. It is marked with the wing and Union Stoneware logo. It has wire handles. No lid and a nice 4" wing. The crock has a flaw on the bottom that looks like it was made this way. Just a hole, small. not a chip. There is a 1" crack that is on the bottom rim that is also a firing crack. Only shallow and not seen inside. This is a good Redwing Churn and is a hard to find piece. It is in good clean condition and is 16 1/2" tall. Salt Glazed pottery and stoneware were manufactured in the early 1900's. Most of these were utilitarian stoneware pieces such as churns. Jugs and crocks. This piece is in good Vintage aged condition- some minor chips and repaired crack at part of bottom but not too noticeable. Displays nice! Antique Butter Churn Stoneware 6 gallon Catawba NC Two Style Handle Rare 18'5"
Up for auction is this rare and complete Catawba Valley butter churn in excellent condition. It is the largest size made and few still exist so its quite a fine piece of history. Catawba pottery is famous for the alkaline stoneware made from the river valley of western North Carolina. Has number 6 imbedded below handle and comes with churn lid and wooden dasher. This also tells me with the style and location of the number that it is a Reinhardt piece. Another tell tale sign its a Reinhardt is the ribbing or rings that you can see and feel going around the base of churn. I captured that in the 6th picture on the inside. I couldnt get a good picture of the ribbing on the outside but it is noticable and adds more character. The handles are of two styles. One of a pig ear or lug. The other is a large loop handle. This style of churn handle was ... moredeveloped to make carrying such a large churn easier. The bottom of lid has a one inch chip/crack that was done prior to glaze and firing so its a mfg default. Its the way it was made, not at all noticable(I felt it before I saw it) but please see picture for reference. The small crack/chip is filled with glaze and is nice and smooth. Measures 18.5" tall with lid on. Top rim measures almost 10" across. Bottom measures 10.25" across. The middle is a bit wider than both top and bottom but difficult to get accurate dimention. Handle to handle is 13" I took pictures outdoors. Just want to be sure you get to see accurate pictures and colors. Also the 41" dash has a crack in the bottom portion of the wood handle. Would not be seen when inside churn. Churn alone weighs 26lbs. It will be shipped carefully with foam ect and have listed it at 30lbs for packing/box weight. The dash will have to be shipped separate and would be around $15.00 extra. I will refund any shipping costs over my cost for materials. I get boxes free, but nothing else. It has a white glaze and stamped in cobalt blue'Ruckel's Stoneware' mark and'2' for 2 gallon size. Established in 1870 in White Hall Illinois. Ruckel's Pottery was popular at the end of the 1800s and into the early part of the 1900s. It is in great condition and very clean. It measures 9.5" tall and 9.5" in diameter. No glaze pops but there are a few chips on the bottom and a crack on the outer top(see pics) Normal wear from use. Age and storage. Found at an estate sale. Vintage Stoneware "Robinson-Ransbottom Pottery Co. - 5 Gallon Butter Churn Pot
Vintage Stoneware Robinson-Ransbottom Pottery 5 Gallon Butter Churn Pot Made in Roseville. Ohio This beautiful stoneware 5 gallon butter churn pot stands 16" tall and measures 10" across the brim. It has wire handles with red wooden grips. The removable lid has a hole in the center where the butter paddle is inserted and is marked USA and the numbers 5-6. There is a chip and a crack in the lid. There are also some small surface cracks on the barrel and some inner cracking but the integrity of the piece is still solid. It is marked with a crown and the number 5 in the center. It comes with a plunger which seems to me that is made for a 2 gallon churn. But I will include it with the pot. Very nice old Crock/ Butter Churn(late 19th century? mad by the C.W. Braun Company in Buffalo NY. Brown glazed interior. Salt Glaze Exterior with fired"raw" clay bottom. Incise Stamped with the number"2" and"C.W. Braun" Buffalo N.Y. There are no cracks whatsoever. There are. However, two chips along interior rim. The bottom looks to be"charred" in areas perhaps from being used on a stove or fire for cooking. Measures 11.25" tall. The top rim is 7.5" in diameter and the bottom measures 8-3/8" in diameter.

Here is a very nice item to add to your country home. Stoneware butter churn that measures about 15"high and the top is 9 1/4" On the front it has Nitary Stoneware then the number 3 in the middle. Does have a lid and there are two numbers on the lid 4 and 8. Not sure how old this butter churn is. It is in very good condition. There are several darker spots/colors on it. On the logo by the N, worn off. The band that is in between the colors on one side looks like it run. Tried to show as much as possible in picture, wear from age. Do not see any cracks or chips on the butter churn. The lid has several chips on it, please look at pictures. Has weight to it, 16 pounds, comes from a smoke-free home. Any question please e-mail me. Antique 3 Gallon Blue Circle with Star Butter Churn Crock with lid and stamper
This 3 Gallon Butter Churn With Blue Star and Circle comes with the wood lid and the stamper. The butter churn is 14" tall and 9-1/2" across at its widest point. The lid is 7-5/8" wide. The stamper is 35" long and the wood pieces at the end of the stamper are 6-7/8" across. The Blue Circle is 2-3/8" wide. One of the handles is missing the piece of wood. Antique Stoneware 5 Gallon Butter Churn Crock with lid and butter churn stick. is beige with blue number 5 on it with a small blue decoration on either side of the number. the churn itself measures approx 17 1/4" tall with the lid- 16 1/2" tall to the top of the churn itself. the butter churn stick sticks out of the top approx 25" overall the stick is 40 1/2" long. I'm not sure that this is the original lid to this piece as the color varies slightly, however it fits perfectly. There are some chips and cracks in the lid. There is a crack in the churn as well about 4" long. Also appears to be a repair on the upper rim but is not very noticeable. There doesn't appear to be any chips on the inner rim. What you see in the photos is just where the glaze didn't cover. There is a chip on one of the handles. These are really hardly noticeable issues and only detectable in the right lighting. This magnificent Stoneware Churn measures 13.5" tall and 10" diameter. It weighs 12 pounds. It features a stunning Cobalt Blue Horse on each side- a masterful work of art! The lid is a lighter color than the churn but it's a perfect fit. So I tend to believe it's the churn's original lid(or a very appropriate replacement) There 3 hairline cracks that start at the top and run part-way down the sides. The longest is 2/3 of the way down. There's a spider crack at the bottom of that crack. The churn remains structurally sound. I could find no makers mark on the base. The crock is quite solid with no movement, but when you rap your knuckles on the crock you can hear it vibrate. The crack is in the back so not visible when displayed. No other cracks or chips. This is an Antique Blue Slip Wreath 4 gallon Stoneware Butter Churn or Crock. It is 16"h x 9 1/2"w. There is a wooden pole and beater which has broken off of the pole and needs to be repaired.
