It is a 1 gallon shoulder/whiskey jug. It has the maple leaf logo on the front. The jug is about 10.5 inches tall and just under 7 inches in diameter. It was preowned but was very well taken care of. I see a few shallow chips on the front rim(where the white portion begins) There is a 3 inch rough section along the rim on the back, as well as a small hairline crack. There is a small spot on the mouth of the jar where it wasn't completely covered with the brown glaze. I believe any other imperfections I see are only production flaws. 6 Gallon Crock Western Stoneware Co Maple Leaf #6 BLEMISHES, INTACT FANTASTIC!!
This auctin is for a Vintage 6 Gallon Western Stoneware Crock. Has the maple leaf and the number 6 on the front in blue. This has blemishes and hair line fractures but is intact. I hope the pictures help you. Someone placed a piece of tape along the bottom, I started to remove it but will let you finish. It has two chipped areas along the bottom, top is not chipped. As mentioned there are spider veins or hair line fractures going through it, but no daylight cracks or breaks. Stands right at 13.5" tall and the top diameter is right at 12.75" wide. This is a really pretty piece, great to add to a collection. If you are in driving distance this can be picked up. Coming from a smoke and pet free home. Good luck and happy bidding!

For Sale is a RARE Vintage WESTERN STYLE HAND TURNED STONEWARE CROCK OR CHURN 4 GALLON. IT HAS A LARGE CRACK ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE CHURN and would not show if you just wanted to display this churn. There are a few imprefections in the crock which was common in your old western stoneware hand turned churns. I belive it to be a southwestern churn as the others I got where from this area and the Texas style star make me think this also. It stands 16" tall and 12" round. The other side has a cobalt blue design of a small flower arrangement that appears to be tulips or some similar flower. 1906 Western Stoneware Company 1 Gallon Crock ~BLUE LEAF DESIGN
Vintage Stoneware Crock made by Western Stoneware Company. Monmouth, Illinios(1906-1985) with blue leaf mark inscribed with"Western Stoneware Co" It is 8.5" high x 7" diamter at the base and 3.75" diamter at the top. This is a preserving jar and because it has CO for company in the Maple Leaf. It is pre 1906. It is Glazed brown inside and 2" down on the outside. There is no lid or handle. Generally in good condition with chips on the top of the coloured diameter which have been glazed in firing(see pictures for a better description) There are also a wide chip on the white part of the pot- please see the pictures. This was probably made in the 1950-60's and weighs 4 pound 7 ounces. It is marked as seen in the photographs. Please email me if you have any questions.
