This is the first birch leaf Red Wing crock that I have seen that is also bottom marked. In the 3rd picture there is a dark"x" on the inside I'm not sure. But think it may be a hairline. There is also an"x" hairline on the outside as well, it is not in the same spot as the one on the inside. Also has a few chips around the base. Here is a Vintage Red Wing Minnesota Union Stoneware Co. 2 Gallon Crock. It is rare because of a factory flaw- the oval was applied upside down! I understand that this occurrence is not unheard of. But it is rare. Here is an opportunity to add a different crock to your collection. The crock is in pretty nice condition. Has some wear and a very minor chip along the bottom rim. Also a little"pit" adjacent to the oval and two scrapes through the wing that looks to me like it left the factory that way. Wing is about 4" long. Photos describe best.

Excellent BOLD Antique Red Wing 2 Gallon Union Stonware Crock w/ Ski oval
This is an excellent antique 2 gallon Red Wing stoneware crock with crisp. Bold markings including a union ski oval and red 4" wing. There is very little damage, just some rust colored markings on the inside(the one pictured on the inside bottom might be a tight, shallow hairline, but I can't tell and it is not visible underneath) Otherwise, there are no cracks or chips. There are some fingerprints on the bottom edge(shown in the photos) that happened before firing and caused the bottom edge to have a few fingertip-sized smooth indents next to some smudged glaze. This is such a beautiful piece, perfect for display or other various uses! It will be packed very well, double boxed, and insured during shipping.

The jar has a brown glazed top and then a cream colored bottom half and it still has the original ball locking lid. The jar appears to be a 2 gallon size and it measures about 13¼" tall to the top of the lid. Has the original bail handle and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Antique Red Wing Salt Glaze 2 Gallon Cobalt Double P Target Crock
This is an unusual antique Red Wing salt glazed double P crock with smooth. Even glaze and cobalt markings. There is a little damage; one chip on the front bottom edge, a small chip on the inner top edge of the side, some very minor scuffs and scratches, and two factory flaws that look like chips on the side and back bottom edge. Both have salt glaze in them and one has chunks of clay stuck around the outside edge. There are some very tight, faint hairlines on the bottom surface that look like they might be from manufacture because the bottom is actually salt glazed right over the cracks(shown close-up in last photo) and they are not visible on the inside. It is quite unusual because I have never seen one with a salt glazed bottom before. For your consideration is a 2 gallon water cooler that was manufactured by Red Wing Union Stoneware Co. of Red Wing. Minnesota. The combination of a wing that is 2" wide and an oval that 1 3/4" wide and says: RED WING UNION STONEWARE CO. RED WING, MINN. dates this water cooler from 1933-1936. A wing that is 2" wide on a water cooler is very unusual! The height is 9 1/4" and the bottom is 8 3/4" in diameter. The lid is missing. The spigot is a reproduction.There are 0 cracks and 0 chips. On the sides of the interior are stains and discoloration(I assume, it was repeatedly used to serve tea made with KS water) The blemish on the interior bottom is a rust stain. Nice Antique Vintage Red Wing Union Stoneware 2 Gallon Oval Over 4" Wing Crock
This is a nice antique Red Wing stoneware crock with crisp. Bold markings and 4" wing. There are no cracks and little other damage, most of which looks factory(there are a few dings or burst bubbles on the inside and a few small chunks of clay and glaze missing along bottom edge on the sides next to extra chunks of clay and smudged glaze, shown in photos) The only significant after-market damage I can find is some dark spots of sticky residue on the bottom, shown in the photos. The crock measures about 9 1/2" H x 9 1/2" in diameter. It will be packed very well, double boxed, and insured during shipping. I have another 2 gallon like this one, identical in size, color, markings, etc. and they look fantastic together. The price is a little lower on that one because it has a couple hairlines. 2 Gallon Hand Turned 1930's Red Wing Water Cooler 4 1/2" Wing "2" Inside Bottom
This rare Red Wing product was hand crafted/thrown/turned in the 1930's. It weighs about 12 1/2 pounds and stands 10 1/2" tall. The red wing is about 4 1/4" long. The lid would have to fit into the 7 1/4" diameter top. WE HAVE NO LID. The tap would have to fit into the 5/8" aperture. WE HAVE NO TAP. The stenciling is strong and clear. The numeral"2" is stenciled inside on the bottom. It remains in very fine condition with only one small glaze pop or chip located between the two bottom blue decorative stripes(see scan#7) The other marks below the bottom blue line(scans 8-11) are commonly referred to as"kiln kisses" resulting from the vessel adhering to either another piece of pottery. Antique 2 Gallon Red Wing Stoneware Bottom Marked Birch Leaf Elephant Ear Crock
This is a nice antique 2 gallon Red Wing stoneware crock with crisp. Bold cobalt markings including birch leaves and a union oval, and the bottom of the crock is clearly marked Minnesota Stoneware Co Red Wing. There is one hairline crack that forks up the side and wraps around the bottom edge, and comes up around the bottom edge in the front(very faint) but there are no other cracks and chips other than some tiny flakes in the glaze around the inner top edge(not noticeable unless very closely inspected; shown in the last photo) The crock is clean, the glaze is shiny, and it would display beautifully. It measures 9 3/4" W x 9 1/4" H. It will be packed very well, double boxed, and insured during shipping.
