The lid fits perfect but it is a darker brown than the other. I don't know if it was meant to be like this or another lip was put on it. There is a small chip on the outside of the crock at the bottom edge and a small chip where the color turns from beige to brown. The crock measures 4 3/4" across the bottom 3 1/2" at the opening and is 7" tall with the lid on. I do have the item pictured with a soda can or an orange ruler to help with visual size comparisons. A true antique crock. I'm selling the old pottery piece for my friend. She's 92& asked me to list it. The crock came from her home place. In Bybee, Tn. where she was born& raised. She moved from the family farm in 1960. She remembers the crock as a small child. She was born in 1920 so this crock is definitely an antique. Great condition. No chips. A couple very light. Glaze hairline cracks that you need extra light to see& doesn't take away or cause any issues. The stoneware crock is 6" tall& 5.75" across the top. Two tone or two shades of brown. Vintage two tone blue crock bowl.measures just about 8 3/4" across the top and about 3 1/2" deep. There is a hairline crack but it does not affect the bowl as far as usage or display.lightly visible. The bottom part of the bowl is a light blue and the rim is darker. There are a couple of blue paint smudges.character. Marked on the bottom 9 IN. Up for auction is an Antique Vintage Large 14" tall Two tone Stoneware Preserve Crock. This is a lovely tall two tone crock in dark brown and tan color. What a great crock for use or for a primitive country display! Measurements: 14" tall. 5 1/2" in diameter across top. 4 1/4" opening. Base is 9 1/4" in diameter. Condition: Very nice. Holds liquid. There are some chips around the base rim. There is a manufacturing piece of something in the glaze and a manufacturing indent in the crock at the top in the darker area. Picture 6. There is a ding on one side(again dark brown area) but it looks like it could have been done in manufacturing also, picture 2& 3. In the lighter tan area there are uneven pottery areas. picture 10. Picture 11& 12 shows a flake on the rim. Uneven glaze color. Maker unknown. The base shows ... morelines like a fingerprint, shown in pictures 8& 9. Antique Vintage 5 Gallon Crock Stoneware 2 Tone Labeled G Fox & Co Glazed Brown
This 5 gallon two-toned crock came from an auction in Vermont. It has a label from the G. Fox& Co. Hartford, Conn, see the 5th picture, on the side. It must have been delivered by the G. Fox& Co. I found out the G stands for Gerson who owned this large department store. It said that they made deliveries by wheelbarrow. The crock measures 13" high and 11 3/8" in diameter. There is a chip on the bottom edge, see the 10th picture. There is a crack that starts on one side where the brown turns to tan and runs down to the middle of the bottom. There are 3 indentations on the bottom edge that must have been made during the manufacturing process because they are glazed over. There are some drips marks, see the 2nd picture. There are also residue marks on the inside.

Antique stoneware crock or jar made by Doullton Lambeth of England. This classic form has been given a characteristic two-tone glaze in warm natural colors. The piece has an imprinted Doulton Lambeth mark near the bottom. Which was in use by the company from 1858 until 1910. Overall. This piece is in good condition, however there is a chip leading to a crack in the center of the body, as pictured. There also what appears to be a chip on the rim that was glazed over and is probably original to the piece. No other condition issues. The crock stands 10 3/4" tall and measures 6 1/2" wide. Antique Two Tone Glazed Footed Ceramic Crock/Urn w/Curled Handles
This large 3 quart crock/urn is made in the US and is hand thrown and has two curled handles attached to it on either side giving it the appearance of an urn(pictured#1 thru#4) It is considered crockery as it is oven proof and made from very thick pottery with a very durable over glaze giving it a glossy look. The top half of this urn has a rich burnt umber under glaze color and the bottom half and underside is a very nice putty under glaze color giving this piece a country kitchen look. The interior has a burnt umber under glaze with a clear glossy over glaze applied to it also(pictured#3) There is no cover unfortunately but; few covers survive the test of time like this one. With the inception of crockery farmers and city folk alike could cure pickles. Sauerkraut. And other very ethnic foods as well as bake in ovens with these items. The ... morecrock/urn measures 7 3/4" tall X 9" at its widest point X 5 1/2" deep and 4 1/2" inside diameter on top) if you should find a cover. It is in good condition for its age however. There are two hairlines on one side(zoom-in picture#2) And a few hairlines on the underside(zoom-in picture# 4) The hairlines are only on the very surface of this piece and are not on the inside and are probably from high oven temperatures. Nonetheless they add a little charm to an otherwise perfect piece. The base of this piece has three raised feet and will not leave watermarks on tableware. Crock/urns like this one are highly collectible and displayed at collector shows and even judged on the beauty, shape and functionality. There are several pottery associations in the US and abroad. Other than their collectible value they make great kitchen shelf/counter items, floor vases, hearth accessories, and even center pieces on the dining table for floral displays.
