SIDE STAMPED & BOTTOM SIGNED 1 GALLON RUCKEL'S STONEWARE CROCK WHITE HALL ILL.
Here is a white glaze one gallon stoneware crock. It is side stamped in cobalt blue RUCKEL'S STONEWARE. It is also bottom marked RUCKELS STONEWARE WHITE HALL ILLINOIS. It is in excellent condition. There is only one glaze pop located to the right of the side stamp(see photo) There are no chips or cracks. It does have light crazing appropriate for its age and it is very clean. The smaller gallon sizes are harder to find because they were used more often and thus more breakage occured. Nice specimen. In my opinion. I would rate this one 8 or 9 on a scale of 10. Rare Primitive Stamped 3 Gallon Crock Antique Salt Glazed Crock W Cobalt -Fisher
Unique hand painted three gallon salt glazed crock with beautiful cobalt blue markings. This is one from my personal collection that I need to whittle down a little bit. Its absolutely beautiful! The cobalt blue flower and number three richly stand out. The front of the crock is STAMPED"J FISHER LYONS NY" and was made sometime between 1872 and 1902. It measures 9 3/4" tall and 11" wide not including the handles. There are two cracks on the back that are pictured. Since they are on the back they do not affect the ability to display this piece. Up for your consideration is this rare double stamped antique Love Field Potteries stoneware 2 gallon crock. Complete with the original lid. This crock was mistakenly double stamp in manufacturing and could very possibly be the only one of its kind? It measures 10 1/2 inches tall, 9 inches wide at the base and will make a great addition to any antique crock or stoneware collection. Brown and beige pitcher with one handle marked with a 3/4 stamp. The lid has a chip. Which I've shown a closeup of. There is a line around the bottom that doesn't go along the whole of the bottom. Antique Stoneware Crock Hand Painted Flower Pattern Stamped USA
This beautiful old crock was purchased at the estate sale of a collector. It is about 8 1/2 inches tall and 6 1/2 inches diameter at the opening. The unusual design includes a raised floral pattern that is hand painted. The paint is worn off some with age and use. Most of these old crocks were used in the kitchen on a daily basis- possibly as a cookie jar or lard container- so it is common to have chips as this one does around the lid. For auction is this old 1-gallon stamped crock jug for JAMES DOBBIN'S SON- GROCERS probably dates to the late 1880s-1890s and is in very good condition. The only issue is a minor chip along the lip. It is 11 1/2" tall. Though it doesn't have a place name. I googled this and found an example online from a prior antique sale that noted it as being from Philadelphia and there is an 1899 city directory from Philly that lists James Dobbins Son Grocer. Antique stoneware crock stamped Peter Herrmann Baltimore MD Maryland cobalt 1gal
An antique cobalt decorated 1 gallon stoneware crock stamped with the circular Peter Herrmann(Baltimore. Maryland) 1 gallon stamp near the top and measuring approximately 9.75" tall(dollar bill is shown for size comparison) It measures approximately 6" across the top. As to condition, there is a tight 4-way hairline on the very bottom that begins in the center and extends outward. One of the branches of the hairline has a bit more separation near the bottom edge and and extends up the side of the crock approximately 6.75" upward, and slightly to the right on a diagonal. There is an additional hairline on the bottom which begins near the center and extends outward nearly to the edge, about 2.5" Finally, there is a tight hairline which extends from the bottom edge and upward about 1-1/8" on the side. There is overall ... moremuted staining and the occasional tiny ding/glaze skip typical of antique stoneware. Some very minor wear to the cobalt decoration. We do not see any chips or other problems with the rim. PLEASE view the images carefully as part of the description. The piece is in very nice condition with no chips or cracks to the outside, there is some very minor wear to the inner ring. Vintage Crock 1 Quart Capacity 2 stamped on bottom
This is a light gray or cream colored crock 3.5 inches tall and 5.5 inches in diameter and a capacity of 1 quart. The inside and sides are glazed and there is minor mineral marks inside at the bottom. Probably housed a houseplant in its past. There is a 2 stamped in the bottom but no other indication of manufacturer or age. There is no lid. There is one spot on the outside lip that is a circular pattern of goldish and blue tint. See the last picture.

Here for auction is a large antique 3 gallon stoneware jug from Baltimore. Maryland, stamped with the circular Peter Herrmann mark. This jug measures 15 ½” tall by 9” across the bottom or base. The condition of this jug is really good with no chips or cracks. There is some staining as shown in the photos but this is common with such stoneware. Great piece of vintage stoneware history. Vintage Antique Brown Stoneware Crock Bean Pot Stamped Blue Crown 2 on Bottom
Nice old stoneware crock in a glossy dark brown glaze. Stamped on bottom with Crown logo and"2" in blue(or greenish blue) ink. One handle and a lid. Lid may not be original to the piece(I got this at an estate auction) As it is a much lighter color glaze, more like a caramel. Lid also has a large chip. Looks like it might hold 2 quarts. This piece measures approx. 5.5" tall and 5" in diameter across the base, giving it a full, rounded shape. There are some bare spots, running, and bumps in the glaze that appear to be original to manufacture. Otherwise, no major chips, cracks, fractures, crazing, or other damage. Antique 4 Gallon Red Wing Side Stamped Salt Glazed Drop 8 Target Crock
This is a scarce side-stamped 4 gallon Red Wing salt glaze crock with bold cobalt drop 8 and target design. The glaze is clean. Shiny, and even with no chips of flea bites, but unfortunately, there is a large crack that runs down the side toward the back, along the bottom edge for a few inches, then up the side toward the front a few more inches. It branches off into a crow's foot toward the back. The crack has been glued and is not loose in any way. The damage is not obvious from the front and the crock still displays beautifully. It measures 11 3/4" H x 11" W and will be packed securely, double boxed, and insured during shipping.
