Can't believe this hasn't sold yet on Ebay. it's just drop dead gorgeous as far as teapots go and the colorful majolica glaze is amazing. Dropping the price for quick sale.but it could retail easily for twice this amount. Looks like it was seldom if ever used and has no crazing or damage. On the top lip of the spout is a barely noticable thin spot in the glaze. like a tiny"near miss" and that's it! No chips or fleabites or hairlines and no crazing. Majolica Late 19 th Century Earthenware Flower and Basket Weave Tea Pot Unusual and beautiful majolica tea pot with brown basket handle. The body is decorated with pink. White, yellow and brown what look like dahlias surrounded by variegated green leaves. The bottom and top of the body are decorated with turquoise basket weave designs. The base is not marked. The lid is decorated with a turquoise basket weave design centered with a flower form knob. This piece was made in the 1880s. Since it is not marked it may be an American made piece. This tea pot has a chip on the underside of the spot and two minor chips on the underside of the lid. No other chips that I can see. The pot shows little wear though the glaze does have a wonderful grazing. The lid does not fit perfectly but comparing the glaze on the lid and body and looking at the wear ... moreon the lid. Coffee pot measures about 8" to top of the finial. Base diameter 5 3/8" and width from spout to handle7 3/4" Coffee pot is in good antique majolica condition with some wear to the glaze at the spout and some glaze chips at base. This is a beautiful white with gold filigree and gold lines and gold handle coffee/teapot from Austria. The bottom also says"Victoria" which I believe is the name of the pattern. There are no chips. Brown Transferware Childs Teapot Tea set- FOUR(4) Replacement Saucers These four(4) Victorian transferware tea set saucers were likely originally part of an early child's or doll's miniature tea set. The saucers are 3" in diameter and are a little of 1/2 of an inch tall to rim. All are marked with the pre-1884 English Staffordshire Kite Mark. Rich brownish red transfer on earthenware or ironstone decorated with a single bird(possibly a wren) perched on a tree branch with berries. The pattern name and exact maker is unknown. But the saucers were most certainly made in the Staffordshire region of England pre-1884. The saucers are all in very good condition. No chips. Cracks or repairs. Hand Decorated Creamware Cylindrical Lidded Tea Caddy Staffordshire England c 1780 This is a very scarce early English creamware tea caddy with original lid. The piece stands 4 1/2" tall to the top of three dimensional floral final. And about 3 1/2" across. The lid in bowl shaped and was originally used to hold the tea shake. T he set hand painted with floral bouquets and floral sprigs in iron red. Green, and black enamels delicate brushstrokes over the glaze. The tea caddy was made in the Staffordshire district of England. In the late 18th century. The base is unmarked. Based on the form and the moulds, it could be Leeds or from the Wedgwood potteries. The base is in great condition with no chips cracks or repairs. The lid displays beautifully and is in sound condition. Antique Stoneware Pottery Ribbed Lined Unmarked Green Tea Pot Teapot
Here is a really neat VERY old tea pot. Tea pot is a very pretty light green- color seems more like half glaze. Half wash- unusual. And I love the progressive ribbed or lined design and decorative area by spout. Heavy pottery pot- I believe is a stoneware pottery but not sure- is quite heavy for size. I don't think ever had a lid. Measures just over 7 inches from handle to spout and is 4 3/4 inches tall- opening at top is 3 1/2 inches. This does have a few issues due to age more than anything- this is a true antique- it does have crazing- there is a very small rough spot on spout(the other small one is glazed over so was done in making) there is a tiny little thin crack at very top I almost missed and a tiny thin age crack in handle- very, very minor signs of age considering this is most likely over 100 years old. A Torquay mottoware teapot manufactured in England in the 1920's or 1930's. This pot is made of rough redware(terracotta) clay like all Torquay ware. It is decorated with a band of cream-colored slip with a sgraffito motto reading"Welcome's the Best Dish in the Kitchen. The pot is 7 1/2" from handle to spout and about 3 1/2" tall. There is a small chip on the underside of the spout as shown in the last photo. Overall crazing. Firing marks, areas of thin glaze, etc. consistent with age and manufacturing techniques.
