c.1820's antique Staffordshire BLACK BASALT ceramic Teapot w/Spaniel finial lid
This c.1810-1830 black basalt teapot is called a"bachelor's" teapot because of its small size and measures 4 3/4" high to the top of the spaniel finial and its about 5" wide at mid section. This has a beautiful floral design throughout and has a dog finial on lid. It is unmarked but the pattern is similar to teapot designs made by Wedgewood during the early 1800's and copied by other Staffordshire pottery houses. Condition: one large chip on underside of lid which is barely visable on outside; some flea bites along rim of spout and one tiny nick on rim of main body and a barely noticeable hairline on bottom/base. The overall look is quite pleasing(see first two photos) and the fore mentioned issues are not noticeable unless you put it under scrutiny and a magnifier and take off the lid. Here is a very rare and hard-to-find Roseville Ceramic Design Tea Set. According to Huxford's Second Collector's Encyclopedia of Roseville Pottery(see page 50. Row 2) this is a Persian-Type. Pre 1916, tea set. The tea pot and creamer are in excellent condition. However. The sugar pot has a glaze flake on the left handle(left as seen in the first pic of the sugar pot by itself) And on the right handle. Antique English Salt Glaze polychrome enamel decorated tea pot with foliate design and vibrant puce flower to both sides. The rim is decorated with a geometric design in blue. Yellow and puce. The crabstock handle and spout are enamel decorated in green. The enamel decorated lid has a simple acorn finial. c1780. Antique Redware Ceramic Teapot With Lid Circa 1940's
Beautiful and rare. This antique teapot measures 4+ inches at the base, 7 inches from spout to outer handle and 5 inches in height with he handled lid on. This gorgeous dark brown and lacquered square teapot features gilded hand painted details in red, blue, green and white dot pattern colors. Round redware teapots are commonly found but square ones are quite rare. There are no chips, stains, knicks, scratches or discoloration, however some of the gold trim details have worn with age but this is minimal and does not detract from the attractiveness of the piece. There is also some dulling of the lacquer near the handle and spout especially due to handling and use where the lacquer has lost its luster, but the paint remains unfaded. The detachable lid has a cured out tongue at the lip to keep it secure during pouring and has a steam vent to ... morelet hot air and water out. This auction features a one of a kind early hand thrown on a pottery wheel coffee pot set. This set comes complete with a coffee pot. Sugar bowl, and creamer, the pot and sugar bowl both having their lids. Which is especially rare. This amazing Yi-Hising Chinese style set is in fabulous shape with only a few minor chips. No cracks, and to my knowledge there has been no repairs. Measurements are as follows: Coffee pot with lid stands 10-1/2" tall and is 9"in diameter at its widest point. The color is simply delectable. As evidenced by the fact that I can't think of a single word to describe it that isn't yummy-butterscotch, toffee, farm fresh eggs. Much more than that. It will lift your spirits, as only antiques that have been loved for generations can do. How many times as a kid did you sing that song? This is the perfect little teapot to sing about. It truly is short and stout. To the top of the cherry on the lid. It measures almost 7" tall and from the outside of the handle to the tip of the spout it is 10" across. It does not have a name on the bottom other than USA, but it does say K6. he color is a soft beige with dark green and a little red. It has the crackling in the finish typical of older pottery, but there are no cracks or chips anywhere. Antique Hand Painted/Embossed Ceramic Pottery TEAPOT: Great as Planter- No Lid Up for sale is a lovely antique ceramic pottery teapot that is embossed around the raised rim and the bottom. It is completely hand painted with floral pink roses and patterned designs. It's 10" long from handle to spout and 4.75" tall. There is no lid but since this is such a lovely piece it would be great converted into perhaps a planter. The spout has a repair on the bottom tip. In the 3rd picture of the top rim. On the far right you can see pottery like there was a repair but it's a really good one because I see no sign of a break from the other side or the top edge. The piece is unmarked except there's a"W" or"M" etched into the bottom, perhaps by the artist. I purchased this at an estate auction and am uncertain of ... moreits age but believe it to be many decades old if not older. Antique Tall Green Tea Pot, Creamer, & Cups Set Ceramic Turkish Asian Style Nice
Hello! This is a very unique and cool tall coffee/ tea pot. Sugar or creamer bowl and four cups. These are green with turquoise blue color. They are all in great shape with little to no chips, cracks, or any damage that I can find. The main pot is 1 foot, 4 inches tall. It has a little bit of brown stuff on the handle that needs to be cleaned off, it looks like a tiny amount of paint, but it is really dry and just chips off with scraping it with a thumbnail, so it comes right off. It's not broken or chipped anywhere, great shape! The the creamer/ sugar container with top has one very tiny chip in the lip, but the rest and the top are in near perfect shape. It is 8 inches high. The cops are all in great shape with no chips or damage, and are 4 inches high. These are very clean and the insides are very clean, I'm not sure if they have ... moreever actually been used. Like I mentioned, the main pot handle needs a little cleaning, but other than that these just need to be wiped down for dust from shipping/ storage, but are very clean already. They have no markings for a maker/ country/ etc. If I had to guess they are from the 60s-70s. These would go great with an eclectic or bohemian decor, or a Turkish/ Asian decor. A beautiful antique teapot with a rich. Dark brown glaze and hand-painted floral design throughout. Produced by Price Brothers at the Crown Works, Burslem, England, prior to 1910, as indicated by the maker's mark at the bottom(pictured) This teapot has been well-used and well-loved over the years. So there is wear and some chipping, especially on the spout, which as some chipping at the tip, and a small repair near the tip as well(pictured) The gold trim is quite worn, and you can see where much use has worn off the gold trim on the handle where your thumb would rest. Antique silver gilt ceramic teapot with lid
This old teapot is a flea market find. It is unmarked- seems to be very old. It appears to be silver gilt over ceramic. There are some chips on the lid and wear on the handle that show a brown color beneath the silver. The brown can also be seen inside the pot. Overall it's in very good condition. Other than the chips on the lid. There are only fleabites on the spout. There are no cracks or damaging flaws. Measures 8" handle to spout. 5" high, without lid, base is 2-1/4"
