up for sale is a very rare Altenburg Saxony lusterware sugar& creamer set with lids. these items have a cameo bisque design of holland with windmills. there are no chips or cracks and the paint is in remarkable shape. the only flaws we could find are in the top rim of each the gold paint around the edges is pretty much gone(as seen in the 4th picture) this particular design is very rare. finding both pieces with lids are also rare. would make a very beautiful addition to any hutch. This beautiful antique teapot. Sugar, and creamer set features the"Iris" pattern which has molded classical scenes of figures from ancient Greek mythology on green and white iridescent luster porcelain. The teapot has holes at the bottom of the spout for straining loose tea leaves. The bottoms are stamped"Iris, Altenburg, Saxony. The dimensions of the teapot are 3 1/2 inches high without cover, 4 3/4 inches high with cover on. The creamer is 2 3/4 inches high and the sugar bowl is 3 inches high without cover, 4 1/4 inches high with cover on.
