Up for your consideration is a very delicate and beautiful hand-painted German chocolate pot or teapot. This beautiful antique has beautiful hand-painted water lilies and gold decoration on a pale luster background. The mold for this porcelain pot. Was very decorative and dainty, with lace and beading decoration in the mold. The luster around the base is a light green. It does not a factory or country mark on the bottom other than what you see in the photos here. I am not an expert in these things and this is only the information I have read online while doing research. Considering this pot was most likely made over one hundred years ago. It has a detailed flower motif in purple and blue with a mauve rose under spout and on lid. The lid locks onto pot in what is called a bayonet style and has a hole in lid for access of the muddler or spoon for stirring. It is in great condition with only a few scratches on bottom from table use and is signed on bottom D.V. for the French maker Mennecy-Villeroy starting soon after c1748 to 1765. I have included my research on the marks in the pictures above. It is a lovely piece and ready for use or a great addition any collection. This was my Grandma's hand painted Nippon hot chocolate serving set. I selected the 1900- 1940 vintage. But it may well be pre 1900's. I have found the same style in my research, but not the same pattern, nor the hallmark. As far as I know it was probably never used and only displayed. Very old and very exquisite cocoa pot. Very fine porcelain. Beautiful shape and very ornate details. Creamy yellow body with applied enamel gold and white flowers. Vines and leaves. Blush wash accents. White porcelain figural handle. With flower detail. White porcelain flower finial on lid. There are a couple of hairline cracks on the inside at the top of the pitcher but it is completely stable. There is a chip out of the inside of the lid. As shown. Approximately 8 1/4 inches tall. I have for you this evening an extra fine example of German made porcelain created at the kilns of KPM Berlin in the early part of the 19th century. This piece is made of some of the very finest porcelain being made at the time of its creation and has been cast into a classic and elegant mold design by this maker. This stunning piece has been fully hand painted by a master painter of bird life as well as florals. This piece has some extra marking under the base that may help to identify the artist but I am unsure of this. The work is skillfully done and depicts red breasted black feathered birds that appear to be the European version of the Robin Red Breast with a covey of three to each side. The spout and rims of both pot and cover are heavily gilt in gold as well as the handle. This set has beautifully hand painted pink and purple five petal flowers with a yellow and gilded background. The set has a pot(8" high not including the lid) and lid. Both of which are in impressive condition with no crack, chips, and very little wear. There are 6 cups(3" x 2 5/8" diameter) four of which have no cracks or chips, and very little wear to the pattern. Two have one small flake on their rims, but it is quite minor and there are no cracks or other chips on either. There are 5 saucers that measure 5 3/8" in diameter. Pot dimensions are: 9" tall(including lid) 4.5" diameter at the middle. And 3.25" diameter at base. The diameter of opening in top of the pot is 2.5" photo 5) The cup dimensions are: 2.75" tall. 1.5" diameter at base. And 2.25" diameter across lip of cup. Item up for auction This is a gorgeous hand painted and detailed H.C. Bavaria Chocolate Pot from the early 1900's. The base and upper portion of the pot are painted a light lavender. Lovely pink and white flowers top the thorned stems which circle to pot. The lid and pot handles are painted gold. The bottom of the pot is stamped and signed. This piece measures about 9" high by 7" from spout to handle. The pot needs a little cleaning but is in wonderful antique condition with no chips or cracks. Up for auction here is an antique Japanese porcelain chocolate pot set. It consists of 12 pieces. One chocolate pot with lid, 6 saucers and 4 cups. No chips or cracks to any pieces. They are transfer printed then hand painted in the Kutani style with depictions of young geisha girls strolling a village with bridges, blooming trees and flowers. Colors are brick red and gold with pinks, greens and blues on a porcelain white ground. The set dates to circa 1890, a relatively early chocolate export porcelain set. Vintage Chocolate Pot w/ trees and house scene- hand painted
This Antique Chocolate Pot tells a story of a homestead in a forest. It is very elegant with lots of Gold Accents. The tree trunks come up the pot and the leaves go completely ring the top of the chocolate pot. Sitting back at a distance is a house with a pond surrounded by bushes with another small tree next to the house in the middle of the pot. The matching lid is a combination of the green.brown branches and Gold including a ring of gold buttons around edge of lid. The pot and lid stand 10 inches tall. cI suspect this is a Nippon Chocolate Pot and is marked on the bottom but it is unreadable because of age.
