Antique Ironstone Teapot Raised Wheat Pattern W& E Corn North Staffordshire For Your Staffordshire. Ironstone, or Teapot Collection Details Description: An antique ironstone teapot or tea pot. The teapot has a raised wheat pattern on the sides of the pot and on the domed lid right under the finial. The pot has a round foot rising to a constriction the flared rounded sides. The sides have a scalloped or a ribbed pattern. The sides go to a neck which flares out to a scalloped rim. The rim has a shelf on the inside where the domed lid would sit. The pot has an applied handle and a spout which starts a third of the way down the side and rises in goose neck-like fashion to the level of the pot's rim. The spout also displays the wheat pattern on its bottom. The pot also has an applied handle which meats the pot near the rim and where the ... moreleaves of the wheat plant start. Finally the pot has a domed lid with a loop shaped finial and a hole in it to allow the steam to escape when the pot is full of hot tea. Date: Sometime between 1864 and 1891(The period of operation of the W&E Corn Pottery at the Burslem works in Stoke on Trent in North Staffordshire) Origin: Stoke on Trent. For sale is a wonderful. GAUDY IRONSTONE Staffordshire teapot, excellent condition, in the very popular"SEEING EYE" pattern. Made in the 1850s in Staffordhsire, England, and shipped to the United States, this pattern was quite popular in Pennsvlvania and is now very collectible. The teapot and lid. Together stand approximately 10 inches tall. The base is about 6 and a half inches, the lid about 3 and 3/4 inches. It will be difficult to find another example in better condition. The gold lustre is excellent, showing no wear on either the"eye" or the flower. The hand-painted colors show no paint loss or chipping that is typical of gaudy ironstone china. There is light wear on the pink lustre trim(mostly the base and the handle) Neither the base nor the spout have any chips, cracks or professional repairs. RARE. VINTAGE/ ANTIQUE TALL STONEWARE TEAPOT WITH GOLD TRIM approximately 8.5 to 8.75 inches tall. From the base to the top of the lid. LOTS OF PICTURES. SO YOU CAN SEE THE DETAIL FROM EVERY ANGLE. A SMALL CHIP ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE LID FROM MANY YEARS AGO. SEE PICTURE 10. SOME AGING& CRAZING. SOME WEAR OF THE GOLD. BUT STILL IN GREAT SHAPE CONSIDERING ITS AGE. I do not know the exact age on this teapot. But you can tell from the condition of the Gold Trim and the Crazing that it's very old. Burgess& Campbell was founded in Trenton. NJ. In general. Burgess& Campbell items are usually listed as late 1800's. And I found the following company historical info online, which mentions that they used the double shield trade-mark in 1879: The Mercer Pottery Co. was organized in 1868. James Moses. The head of the company, claims ... moreto have been the first to make semi‑porcelain ware in this country. The double shield mark, formerly used by this company, was the same as that employed by the firms of Carr& Clark and Burgess& Campbell. It was also used at the New York City Pottery by Mr. Carr, as will be seen. When the International Pottery Co. was organized in 1879 by Messrs. Carr and Clark, assisted by John and James Moses, the double shield was adopted as being an appropriate design for the name of the company, Mr. Clark being an English potter and James Moses an American. The same shapes were being made at the Mercer and International Potteries and the goods were interchangeable. Hence the same mark was used by each, the only difference being in the name printed beneath. In September of the same year Messrs. Nice old ironstone teapot with wrapped. Wicker like handle. The decor appears asian inspired, perhaps cherry blossoms, in soft pink and brown taupe hand painted design over a dimpled textured round pot. There is crazing with dark aging that blends seemlessly with the decor. The botton shows decades of time have passed. No makers mark that i could find but the soft matte glaze and subtleness on this form is quite lovely.

Embossing on the handle& spout, as well as a wonderful ring handle. It was produced by J. Wedgwood in Tunstall, England and was registered in 1861. It retains his impressed mark with the registration diamond. This piece has one small shallow chip on the top rim(see photos) But is otherwise excellent, with no cracks or crazing. This Davenport Ironstone teapot stands 9" inches high. The registration mark date is January 14 1850. It has a hairline down the side and a hairline two thirds the way around the base. Somebody smeared some kind of glue or cement along the inside where the hairlines are. No other chips cracks or damage. The previous owner was a hoarder of sorts. The teapot still displays very well. Rare piece of mid 1800s New Jersey Ironstone/ Granite ware. Pretty tea pot that measures 8 inches tall and 8 inches wide. Manufactured by The City Pottery company in New Jersey in the mid 1800s- this is a rare piece of American History! Floral pattern with gold trim. Based on the backstamp. The pot was made by The City Pottery in Trenton, New Jersey between 1859 and 1875. More information about the potters: Messrs. Rhodes& Yates. Of the City Pottery, Trenton, were the first in that place to manufacture white granite and cream-colored wares exclusively. They began in 1859, on the site of the old Hattersley Pottery, and in 1860 received a medal from the New Jersey State Agricultural Society for the best white granite ware. In 1865 the style became Yates& Titus. They were succeeded in 1871 by Messrs. Yates, Bennett& Allan. In the ... morelatter year the English mark was used in connection with their initials, Y. B. A. It is in Remarkable Condition. Especially for that age. There are no cracks or repairs of stains in the pot or the lid. The ironstone is white and the glaze clear and glossy throughout. There is a Very Tiny fleabite in the bottom of the pot that is very hard to see(last photo) and doesn't detract from the overall appeal of this Great Find. It is close to 10" tall with the lid on, 9 1/2" from the handle to tip of spout, and 4 1/2" across the base. The lid has raised leaves. There are raised leaves on either side of the handle and grapes& leaves on the spout. At one time, it was heavily trimmed with gold. Most of the ... moregold is still there, but there are areas where it has rubbed off. The lid is lightly crazed and the finial has been glued back on. The pot itself shows no crazing, no chips(some rough spots on the inner edge of the top) There are some fine cracks that run down from the top edge in a semi circle to the top of the handle. This is a very impressive-looking antique ironstone teapot by E. Walley of Staffordshire. It is marked"Scroll" and the backstamp indicates a date of 1856. The teapot is 10" high and 10" wide from the end of its handle to the end of its spout. It weighs 3 1/2 pounds. The base color is cream with a scroll design of copper lustre over green. The lid has a pomegranate finial. The teapot is in good condition for its age. There is crazing. But with this pattern on the ironstone, it doesn't seem noticeable. There is some discoloration inside the pot and one"pinprick" on the outside bottom, but no discernible cracks or chips. I have a creamer and sugar(without a lid) and six 7 1/2" plates that match the teapot that I am listing separately. VINTAGE ALCOCK NO. 20 POLYCHROME PURPLE TRANSFERWARE IRONSTONE TEAPOT ENGLAND
This is a rare antique J& S Alcock pattern No. 20 teapot. It is a beautiful Purple and Blue Floral Transferware Polychrome Ironstone teapot. It is 8-1/4" high to the top of knob on lid and 8-1/2" from end of spout to end of handle. It is in nice condition with no chips or cracks but it does have crazing and some browning which you can see in the pictures. The end of the spout also has a brown spot. I looked at it through a loupe and it is not a chip. The pot has some manufacturing flaws like little blue paint spots near the bottom. The inside of the pot is clean. This pot is from the mid 1800's and was made in Cobridge. England.

A Masons Patent Ironstone China Teapot. C. 1860. Lovely Imari colors. In very good condition. No restoration. Very little use. There is a heat crack at the base near the spout the moves a bit up one side. Very stable. See photos three and four) Shows very well. Approximately 10 inches from spout to handle. Approximately 6 1/2 inches high. Seller ships to the U.S. only and deliveries go out on Monday. Wednesday and Friday. Sydney M. Powers Teapot Collection: This pot comes from the SMP Teapot Collection. The emphasis of the collection spanned a time frame from 1740 to 1875. No two teapots were the same. All were of English origin. At one point there were over 500 teapots in the collection. As is common with Teapots of this period, many needed to be restored. Some received museum restoration(basic stabilizing) while others received a more complex ... morerestoration, including painting, glazing and gilt work. Sydney was a certified, trained professional restorer. She worked on her collection for 38 years before donating them to the Marc-James Museum in 2003. Antique English White Ironstone Teapot Gothic Holland & Green 1854 Staffordshire
A fabulous antique English white ironstone teapot in the rare"Gothic" pattern. Made by Holland& Green around 1854. The teapot is a beautiful specimen and displays very well with some issues commensurate with age. The spout has been expertly reattached with only a very, very fine line visible that looks like a craze line. The lid appears just slightly too small and lacks a vent hole, which leads me to believe it is a sugar bowl lid from the same set. Fine glaze crazing throughout the teapot with some faint areas of discoloration, but overall it is clean and white. Three small flakes to the inner rim which are covered by the lid, and one fine short hairline on the rim by the handle. This is minor. Small chip to a corner of the lid and a flake to another corner on the underside. It is a beautiful and very rare piece. The teapot ... moremeasures 9.75" tall x 8.75" from handle to spout.
