I have found the same style in my research, but not the same pattern, nor the hallmark. As far as I know it was probably never used and only displayed. I looked them over with magnifying glasses and it's in like new condition without a chip, scratch, crazing or repair. It's a full 9 piece setting, so there is no searching for replacement pieces. Nippon Tall Chocolate Coffee Pot Cobalt Blue Gold Moriage
Up for bid is this striking coffee/chocolate pot. Not sure of which because of its tall stature.measures in at 10 1/2 inches to the top of the finial by 7 inches wide from the tip of the spout to the outside part of the handle. When you put the two colors of the dark cobalt blue and the white.definitely is bold. On the white is raised gold moriage design with some hand painted swirls as well. Seperating this area from the cobalt is a row of raised gold beads that attach to a curly Q design. The cobalt has some gold hand painted design upon it. The tip of the spout has a single gold band with a row of raised gold beads. The small lids design is the same as the base. This piece is unmarked.the only remnants of any identification is a partial paper tag. Upon inspection. I cannot find any chips, cracks or repairs. I do note some typical gold ... moreloss most prevalent to the high traffic areas such as the cobalt areas. A couple of manufacturers imperfections.one on the handle and one at the base.has gold covering it but is present. Needs a good cleaning to display its very best. Found at a recent estate sale. Gorgeous Nippon Oriental Poppy Chocolate Tea Coffee Pot And 2 Cups And Saucers
This beautiful hand painted pot measures 8x8" The cups are 3x3 1/2" and the saucers are almost 5" across. They have no chips. Cracks or crazing. Nippon Japan Chocolate Pot Heavy Gold HP Roses
Up for bid is this very pretty chocolate pot. If you are a gold lover. Then you should like this piece. A predominance of gold and hand painted roses. The roses are in shades of pink and red adorned with shades of green and brown leaves. The background here is a gold moriage delight. In the center separating these two areas is a white area.there are swag like projections that dip downward and are made of gold lines with gold beads upon them. At the base and rim of the piece is a black border that has gold beads upon it. You can also see in the decoration there are brownish red areas that represent a stem structure. The handle and finial also have the raised effect to them. This piece measures in at 9 inches tall by a bit over 5 inches wide at the base. On the underside is a double circle with Hand Painted and a cherry blossom on the inside ... moreof it. All of this in a magenta color. Upon examination, I cannot find any chips or repairs. I do note on the inside of the lid.the portion that goes into the pot and holds it in place.is a hairline. Cannot detect it when the lid is in place. Offered today at a great opening bid.

It is very delicate translucent Nippon. Although not hallmarked. It is reflective of Royal Nippon Related Chocolate Pot produced in Japan during the early 1900`s or earlier. There are no chips. Cracks, crazing or defects, with the exception of wear to the gold trim and paint, which is to be expected with a piece of this age. Dimension: 9 ¾” height. 3 ½” opening, 6 1/4” width, 5 ¼” base. This set has beautifully hand painted pink and purple five petal flowers with a yellow and gilded background. The set has a pot(8" high not including the lid) and lid. Both of which are in impressive condition with no crack, chips, and very little wear. There are 6 cups(3" x 2 5/8" diameter) four of which have no cracks or chips, and very little wear to the pattern. Two have one small flake on their rims, but it is quite minor and there are no cracks or other chips on either. There are 5 saucers that measure 5 3/8" in diameter. This set appears to be Nippon but the only marking says"hand painted" This was my grandmother's but I don't know when she received or bought it. She was born in the late 1800's. This is a lovely vintage iridescent Japanese chocolate/coffee/tea/espresso set with a pot and 5 cups and saucers. There are no cracks. It is stamped"Nippon" The pot measures approximately 5 1/8" at the base and is 7 7/8" high to the top of the spout. From the spout to the handle. It measures approximately 6 1/2" The pot has some small blemishes. Which are not obvious. The saucers are approximately 5" in diameter. Some of them show a little bit of wear. The cups measure approximately 3" tall and 2 1/2" wide. They are a great size for a double espresso or latte. One of the cups has a black mark on the inside and a black dot on the outside(see the last two pictures) This is a truly unique set. The iridescence makes it very striking. It shows a Victorian lady with a Cherub by her side feeding her fruit. They are sitting in an Outdoor Garden with Beautiful flowers and trees surrounding them ~ just a beautiful scene. The pot around the scene is Cobalt Blue around the top and White everywhere else. There is wonderful Gold gilt detailing throughout. The Handle is elegant and also has the beautiful gold gilt detailing. The lid is white with the Cobalt blue around the edge and has an elegant finial on top and is also done with the gold gilt detailing. No detail was spared on the Beautiful Vintage Chocolate Pot. Truly a Beautiful Piece. It is unmarked on the bottom except for the number 73 in gold gilt. I believe this to be unmarked Nippon ... moreas many of their pieces were unmarked. This Fantastic Chocolate Pot measures 10" to the top of the finial on the lid x 7" side handle to spout. Tea or chocolate pot featuring two huge stylized white flowers(at first I thought they were parasols) green, orange and brown leaves, a band of geometric designs in gold at the top rim of the pot and bottom rim of the domed lid, plus additional gold scrollwork on the spout and gold trim on the handle. Up for bid is this Antique Hand Painted NIPPON Porcelain Chocolate Pot with 5 Cups and Saucers Set. They are beautifully painted with red gooseberries hanging from branches in deep reddish brown and yellow background. Also with cobalt blue and gold beading accents. The pot and cups are marked‘Nippon Hand Painted’ with a maple leaf. The saucers are unmarked. The pot does have a chip on the spout(see picture) The cups and saucers are in excellent condition. Pot: 9” tall and 5 ½” at the base Saucers: 5” Interesting information: When sixteenth-century explorers brought cocoa beans from Mexico to Seville in 1585. Little did they realize how much their exotic taste would appeal to European palates. Or perhaps they did. At that time hot chocolate was flavored with a mix of peppers and spices.
