ANTIQUE CHILDREN'S SIZE PORCELAIN TEA SET(PARTIAL. WITH 4 PIECES) INCLUDES A COVERED SUGAR AND OPEN CREAMER. PLUS 2 TEA CUPS WITH 2 SAUCERS- HAND PAINTED. ESTIMATED TO DATE TO CIRCA 1885-1900 This is a very pretty partial tea set- with 4 pieces. It is too bad that the tea pot is missing. But with a child's imagination, the"tea" could always be poured from the creamer. There are no maker's marks to indicate age or country of manufacture. However, there is one very interesting clue: the unglazed bottom of the sugar bowl is impressed with an"87" probably dug into the clay with a stylus before firing) where the 7 is the European style 7 with a horizontal slash through the middle of it. You can see this by zooming into photos 3 and 4. None of the other pieces has any mark. So, there is no way, without recognizing ... moreeither the pattern or some other clue about the manufacturer, to associate the country of origin, other than to presume it was made in Greater Europe. There is a dating clue that comes into play if you assume the European style 7 can only mean the pieces were made in Europe. Starting in 1890. The McKinley Tariff Act required that a country of origin always be marked on goods being imported into the U. S. Since these pieces are unmarked, it is possible they predate 1890. I'm inclined to believe that- based on the general style of the sugar bowl and creamer, and especially the style of the handles on the creamer and the cups. However, there is an alternative possibility that the person who marked this pottery's model number might have been a recent emigre from Europe who was working in a U. S. firm. The material is definitely porcelain and if you hold one of the pieces up to the light you can see the shadows of your fingers moving behind it. However. This is not particularly well-molded porcelain: there is a big lump inside one of the tea cups and a saucer has a molding irregularity. This listing is for a very nice antique. Hand painted, 3 piece tea set. This set is in great condition. No chips or cracks. It features hand painted Pansies on all 3 pieces. This set is made of porcelain. The tea pot stands 5" tall to the top of the handle and is 7 1/4" long. The sugar stands 3 1/2" tall and measures 5 1/2" wide including both handles. The creamer is 3" tall by 4 3/4" wide. There are no markings on any of the piece. I would guess that the blanks were probably Germany. Just a great set!

The first factory in the town of Waldenburg was founded by C.S. Rausch in 1820 and even if the business only had a single kiln it was still fairly successful. Attracted by the local possibilities a second factory was opened by the businessman Traugott Hayn in 1829. These two facilities had a quite interesting fate as a decorator from Thuringia at ... morethe Rausch facility changed to Hayn and took over the business in 1831; this worker was of course no other than Carl Franz Krister who in 1833 also bought the company from Rausch for an amount of 15500 Taler. It can only be speculated on how Krister actually was able to pay for all this but it appears that before he even started to work for Rausch he already owned a kaolin deposit near the city of Meißen in Saxony which he then used as source for raw material. The required quartz was delivered from a quarry in Schreiberhau(today Szklarska Poręba) Straight from the start Krister tried to catch customers by imitating the base mark of the'Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur' KPM) in Berlin and being very cautious he decided to use a simple vertical bar instead of a sceptre. When KPM Berlin shortly afterwards added the initials'KPM' to their mark. Krister also added these letters and successfully defended the addition(standing for'Krister Porzellan Manufaktur' even after the KPM Berlin tried to stop him through a court decision. Bottom of teapot has six characters that are blurred. See photo. Appears to be hand painted. Lots of gold that has worn off over the years. Age is unknown. Love the praying mantis with the flowers. Antique 18 pc Etched Signed Gold Tea Set Teapot Porcelain w Salt Pepper Tray etc
Hi. You are bidding on an antique tea set in excellent condition. It is made from the finest porcelain coated with etched gold. The height of the teapot is about eight inches and the height of the little cups is a little over two inches. I cannot find a maker but there is a signature. Handwritten, on the bottom of two of the pieces. It looks like Obamy or Obame. There is also a mark in the gold that I photographed as well. This is a BEAUTIFUL tea set. It is definitely very old. It consists of four cups and saucers, one teapot, a sugar and creamer and four salt and peppers plus a tray for the sugar and creamer. The etched patterns look like Limoges but I really have no idea. The gold is rich and deep. You can see in the pictures that light on the tea set makes it practically glow. Thank you. An elegant circa second half 19th century Paris or Limoges porcelain matching tea set with a smaller pot and larger pot. A creamer and a sugar bowl. There are no repairs and no damage except for some very minor chips to the pot lids: One lid has a small chip to the little underside tongue. The other lid has a small flake to the underside tongue. I have here a circa 1810- 20 Meissen Germany tea set. This fine china set includes a cup. Saucer, teapot with a lid and the cup and saucer sit on a solid brass display stand. The pot, cup and saucer are beautifully decorated with traditional German scenery and gold leaf trim. Each piece is in excellent condition- no chips or cracks at all. They were originally purchased at B. Altman in NYC- please see photos for more info. The labels in the photos appear on the bottom of the pot and saucer. Insurance will be included with the shipping.

18th C Antique Worcester English Porcelain Tea Set Offered for sale is a hard to find late 18th century. Possibly the very early part of the 19th, partial tea set in very good condition. It is unmarked but likely Worcester. The set consists of a Teapot, Sugar, Creamer, 2 shallow Bowls, 1 Waste Bowl, 5 Cups and Saucers and 5 handled Coffee Cups. There are a couple of old Sotheby stickers still attached indicating it was sold there at one time. There is some overall gold wear and some minor stacking glaze wear as you would expect. You can get a good idea of the extent by viewing the photos. One saucer has a rim chip, one cup has a 1" hairline and the waste bowl has a tiny nick as well as a couple of very tight 1" hairlines. The set has some expected glaze fry(sanding) here and there as fired in the kiln, but there are no other damages ... moreand no repair. A very nice looking set that is especially hard to find with so many pieces remaining. The teapot measures 6&1/2" tall, 9&1/2" from spout to handle. The cups and saucers are 5&1/2" across the saucers, 2&1/2" deep. The bowls measure 8&1/2" and 7&3/4" in diameter. all little white spots are light spots from the photography) Insurance is now included in the cost of Shipping. Teapot with lid, sugar with lid, creamer, 4 demitasses and 4 saucers, platter, all have different, beautiful Chinese scenes. Although the platter is of the same period and blends in perfectly with the other pieces, I think it's not the original one, for it's whiter than the very subtle yellow hue teapot, sugar, etc, have. My research leads me to believe this is made by Chamberlain's, a possibility could be Grainger. Look at photos in my description, there are many more than found in the ebay photo area. Fluted swirl form and hand painted floral and foliate sprigs in pink/purple and gold. Set includes: oval form teapot cream pitcher with matching covered sugar 4 teacups 5 coffee cans 7 saucers 2- 8.75" dia cake plates& a 6.5" dia and 3.25" deep serving bowl. Antique German Porcelain Rose Pink White Tea Set Shabby Cottage Chic
This antique or very vintage porcelain tea set is a pretty deep pink with white interiors. It consists of a lidded teapot. Four cups, and four saucers. As shown, there is wear to the glaze and many glaze imperfections, but none of the pieces has any chips or cracks. The bottoms are marked"Germany" with what looks like the number 80 underneath. The teapot also has numbers incised around the rim of the base. I don't know who the manufacturer was. I'm guessing that this dates to the late 1800s or early 1900s( Any information would be much appreciated!

This is a wonderful old porcelain tea set with flow blue and gold designs. The design is very showy but tasteful. The porcelain is hard paste and white. The porfcelain pattern is unique. The set includes the tea pot. A covered sugar and the creamer. The condition is excellent with the exception of some minor gold loss. There are no chips or cracks. The lid to the tea pot shows evidence of ash piting from the firing process, but nothing that detracts from this great old set. None of the pieces are marked, however it has a European/Russian feel about it. The gold designs appear to be grass or clover heads over a flow blue foilage background. This is an exceptional set. US shipping only which includes insurance. The tea pot measures 9 1/4" handle to spout and is 5 1/4" high and 4 1/4" wide.
