Antique English Creamware "Cauliflower" Teapot (as is) - no reserve
This is a cute little teapot. And although it has many condition issues, might be worth adding to your collection. It is early English cream ware, over 200 years old, and was made to resemble a head of cauliflower. The leaves are a glossy green, and the florets a creamy white. Now. The bad news. I think the lid is some sort of replacement, as it does not fit very well. The handle and spout have had restoration work, and I think the white area around the opening has had work as well. Inside, where there are holes to strain the tea leaves from going into the spout, there is a break. I don't have a blacklight. So just assume this has been damaged and restored, and we'll both be happy. In spite of everything, it is very nice looking as is, so I didn't want to go scraping off any of the repair work on this one. Not marked, but I have ... morebeen able to find similar examples pictured in books, describing this as 18th century creamware. With a low starting bid and no reserve. rare Sevres teaset for 6 neoclassical design eagle finials and handles 1806
very rare to find. this entire set has been hand painted like a botanical theme all pieces are different one from the other. the teapot is extraordinary the eagle head handle is 8 1/2 inch high. the saucers are 5 1/2 inch across and the cups are 3 3/4 inch. the set has glazed porcelain and bisque embellishments suck as the acanthus leaves and the eagle finials as well as bisque leaf designs all way around the all the pieces. they are all marked in same way as shown in photo there are no cracks or age lines. the handle shown in close up on the sugar bowl was cracked and restored invisible but done. estate said one saucer had a top flake edge that was also restored. cannot find it. the detail work on this set is incredible. the gold is all good. Amazingly beautiful in its simplicity! Very early Sheffield Ware teapot with absolutely no damages whatsoever. Not a nick. Chip or crack. Much earlier than the pieces adorned with the"Grey Ruins" pattern. This piece bears the Sheffield Ware mark in the Old English Text font. Being that there is no country of origin marked on the piece indicates that it was produced for local sale within England and not for export. Per the marking law of the 1880s. Simply adorned with the rope trim pattern and yellow glaze. There is crackling in the glaze due to age with some tea staining in the crackle on the interior. Shown in photos. Antique Redware Ceramic Teapot With Lid Circa 1940's
Beautiful and rare. This antique teapot measures 4+ inches at the base, 7 inches from spout to outer handle and 5 inches in height with he handled lid on. This gorgeous dark brown and lacquered square teapot features gilded hand painted details in red, blue, green and white dot pattern colors. Round redware teapots are commonly found but square ones are quite rare. There are no chips, stains, knicks, scratches or discoloration, however some of the gold trim details have worn with age but this is minimal and does not detract from the attractiveness of the piece. There is also some dulling of the lacquer near the handle and spout especially due to handling and use where the lacquer has lost its luster, but the paint remains unfaded. Transfer images ... morein dark and lighter blue. The glaze is still quite good. Glaze shows as a slight geenish hue with some very fine light crazing. Hand painted blue Oriental flowers around the body and the lid. The body has darkened with age. Bears two old inventory stickers. One under the lid, and one on the bottom, with matching numbers. The form and pattern is classic. Spout has a good repair where it is attached to the body. The lid shows a chip on the top down to the white ceramic. As well as a large chip off the submerged part of the lid, with hairlines coming out from the damage. The knop is fine. The base shows a hairline crack related to and probably created when the spout broke. Thgis line from the oiutside is not bad. The inner wall of the pot. The faint hairlines can be seen. Inside has a strainer The handle is just fine. No imperfections. The overall appearance is still good. Displays well, and is classic. Smaller size- see dimensions. The ceramic body is"peppered" The clay showing small ground nutmeg or ground pepper size minute specks throughout the clay. Vintage "Cowboy Chuck Wagon" style coffee pot
Western themed" Cowboy Chuck Wagon" style Coffee Pot Absolutely adorable western themed large granite enamel rose colored coffee pot. I would probably call it a"Cowboy Chuck Wagon" style. I believe it to be a 12 pint/24 cup pot. The green glass top is not original but I do like it better than the original clear glass I was told it originally had. I have never used this pot other than for display. It is of generous size. Measuring: 10 1/2" tall, 6 ¼" width at top opening, 7 5/8" width at top including spout, 8 ½" width at bottom and 4" tall handle bail. It does have some areas of the enamel missing on both the pot and lid. Has a rusty spot on the bottom, I have not tried to remove this rust spot) and the inside of the pot has what appears some staining like it was used for coffee at some ... moreperiod of time. It does not appear to have a makers mark or other identifying mark on it. I love the fact that it does have the natural look of being old and used. First shown is a handled cup and deep saucer in very good condition with no chips, cracks or dings. Second is a handleless cup with deep saucer, which is worn. Tongzhi period Description: This beautiful teapot is from the Chinese Tongzhi period and still has both its original handles and tea cosy. It is marked on the bottom for TONGZHI(1861-1875) It is finely hand decorated decorated with on each side a different picture in soft rose and greens. On the top and lid it has been decorated with leaves and peaces and a butterfly. The cosy was hand made in pink silk and covered all around with laced cotton. The handles of the cosy are still there. Antique Porcelain Tea Set/Table Set
This is what I think is a tea set/table set. My mother gave it to me and it was my grandmothers. I believe. I do not know any history on the piece. It is in excellent condition for being as old as it is. No visible scratches or chips. The coloring is still bright. It has a tray, a sugar holder with a tiny spoon, a set of salt and pepper shakers and what I think must be either oil and vinegar holders or a creamer and tea holder. it is very pretty, but not my style. Beautiful Fine Porcelain Japan Tea Set
Beautiful vintage tea set. All pieces are marked"made in Japan and hand painted" I am not sure what mark is is. It looks like a Noritake mark but not a traditional one so I cannot be sure. On a couple of pieces the mark has a smudge to it. This tea set is very fine porcelain and has a lovely floral design that has been hand painted on all the pieces. It is not a large set but is functional. There is a bit of wear. As seen in the photos, on some of the rim paint. None of the pieces are cracked or chipped. The bottoms of the saucers are worn a bit but not broken or cracked. For its age the set as a whole is in excellent condition. There is a tea pot with lid, a creamer, four saucers, and four cups. A nice example of antique handpainted German pottery. The lid does have a chip and a crack. Aside from the worn gold detailing. The rest of this teapot is in good condition for its age. This Nippon chocolate pot and four cup set is decorated with beautiful heavy gold gilt floral border designs and trim. All pieces are in excellent condition with no repairs. Made in the Chinese style. Being of the Oriental Chinese shape, with over-sized brown handle and brown spout reminiscent of bamboo. Spout. Handle and knop finial in painted brown. Transfer images ... morein dark and lighter blue. The glaze is still quite good. Glaze shows as a slight greenish hue with some very fine light crazing. Hand painted blue Oriental flowers around the body and the lid. The body has darkened with age. Bears two old inventory stickers. One under the lid, and one on the bottom, with matching numbers. The form and pattern is classic. Spout has a good repair where it is attached to the body. The lid shows a chip on the top down to the white ceramic. As well as a large chip off the submerged part of the lid, with hairlines coming out from the damage. The knop is fine. The base shows a hairline crack related to and probably created when the spout broke. This line from the outside is not bad. The inner wall of the pot. The faint hairlines can be seen. Inside has a tea leaf strainer. The handle is just fine. No imperfections. The overall appearance is still good. Displays well, and is classic. Smaller size- see dimensions. The ceramic body is"peppered" The clay showing small ground nutmeg or ground pepper size minute specks throughout the clay. Antique Porcelain Teapot Handpainted Rose Hips and Leaves GORGEOUS!Artist Signed
This is a beautiful old teapot! It has richly colored hand painted designs of rose hips and leaves around the body and on the lid. The handle. Rims, and lid knopf are painted in heavy burnished gold. This is such a pretty pot for fall and winter tea. It is made of fine porcelain and is in excellent condition. The bottom is signed L. Duncan, by the artist. There is no maker's name on the porcelain, however there are faint, impressed numbers on the bottom which read 590(over) 2. This sweet piece holds 28 oz. and displays beautifully. There are no chips, cracks, or damage. There is a bit of tea stain inside at the bottom, which may come out, and is not a detraction to how lovely this old pot is. It measures 7 7/8" across at the handle and stands 5 3.8" high. US shipping only which includes insurance and tracking.

This tea pot is a very fine example of one of the early paris factories ca. 1800. I have been unable to identify the makers mark but maybe someone else will have more luck. The painting is superb and of museum quality. It was purchased over 25 years ago from a high end antique dealer. Measurements are 5 1/4" tall x 7 1/4" from handle to spout. I also have a matching plate. Coffee can and saucer that I will be listing in the future. Exquisitely painted Old Paris porcelain Veilleuse (tea pot with candle stand)
An exquisitely decorated and rare 19th century Old Paris porcelain veilleuse. Or tea pot atop candle warming stand. The veilleuse comes in four distinct parts: a circular base to support the stand, the cylindrical candle stand, tea pot and tea pot lid. The circular base measures in diameter approximately 4 1/2 inches at the base and 3 1/2 inches at the rim. It is gilded, some wear to the gilt, and perforated with 4 holes to allow for escape of candle heat and gasses. Atop this rises the stand. This is exquisitely painted, one of the finest examples I have seen. The main motif features two men in a workshop or tavern interior. The figure at the right wears stands with his back facing the viewer and leans over slightly. He wears a red vest, yellow shirt, blue pants, black boots and a gray apron. He faces a man seated opposite on a beach in ... morefront of a desk or table. This second man wears a white shirt, gray vest, yellow pants and blue stockings and holds a pipe in his hand. The background to the scene is a brownish tone. This painted scene is framed in a border of gilt. The rear sides of the cylinder are decorated in a motif of ashlar masonry with brownish-plum colored blocks of stone. The top of the cylinder is gilt and perforated with a ring of 7 holes to allow for escape of candle heat and gases. The crown of the cylinder is decorated with an encircling band of white glazed beads. There is a minor chip on the interior of the cylinder and on the interior upper rim of the cylinder. Neither chip is visible when the cylinder is inserted into the base or when the teapot is placed atop. The cylinder measures approximately 4 1/2 inches in diameter and rises approximately 51/2 inches tall. The teapot is a glazed white porcelain It has a bulbous form with a scroll handle and stylized animal head spout. There is a gilt band running around the neck of the teapot, gilding along the outer edge of the handle, and along the lip and outer edges of the spout. Some of this gilding is worn. I AM NO EXPERT AT ANTIQUE POTTERY. AND IF ANYONE VIEWING THESE CAN CORRECT ANY ERRORS IN MY LISTING, I WOULD APPRECIATE IT.AS WELL AS, IF ANYONE CAN GIVE ME ADDED INFORMATION. THESE WERE PURCHASED BY MY DAD AROUND THE 1970'S IN LANCASTER CO. PA. THEY ARE IN GREAT CONDITION, CONSIDERING THAT I WOULD PLACE THEM AROUND 1825. PLEASE EXAMINE THE PHOTOS CAREFULLY, AS THEY ARE THE MAIN PART OF THE DESCRIPTION. FIRST. THE TEAPOT. AS YOU CAN SEE, IT HAS HEAVY OVERALL CRAZING, AND THE PEARLWARE GLAZE IS VERY OBVIOUS. THE FINIAL ON THE LID HAS BEEN REPAIRED. THERE ARE 2 VERY SMALL SHIPS TO THE INSIDE OF THE RIM OF THE BODY OF THE TEAPOT. THERE ARE 2 VERY MINOR ROUGH SPOTS ON THE BASE. THE SPOUT HAS SOME FLEA BITES TO THE UPPER LIP, THAT ARE HARDLY WORTH MENTIONING. YOU WILL SEE SOME LOSS OF PAINT ON BOTH SIDES. ANY OTHER MARKS ARE FROM THE MANUFACTURING ... morePROCESS, I BELIEVE. YOU CAN MAKE OUT THE NUMBER"103" AND THE NUMBER"12" ON THE BOTTOM. IT IS A LARGE PIECE, MEASURING APPROXIMATELY 11" WIDE BY 7 1/2" TALL. THE SUGAR BOWL HAS CRAZING. BUT IT'S NOT AS SEVERE AS ON THE TEAPOT. NOTE IN PHOTOS THAT THE LID HAS HAD A REPAIR ON THE EDGE, AND SOME ROUGHNESS ON THE INNER LIP. THE BODY HAS SOME LOSS OF PAINT, AND THE INSIDE RIM HAS SOME VERY MINOR CHIPPING. THERE IS A ROUGH SPOT ABOUT 2" LONG ON WHAT I GUESS YOU WOULD CALL THE LOWER COLLAR. THE HANDLES EACH HAVE SOME VERY MINOR ROUGH SPOTS. ANY OTHER FLAWS WOULD BE IN MANUFACTURING. THE BOTTOM IS ALSO MARKED WITH THE NUMBER"103" AND HAS AN IMPRESSED LETTER"M" IT MEASURES ABOUT 7" TALL AND 7 1/2" WIDE. I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR MATCHING PIECES FOR DECADES. NOW.
