This is a fabulous antique set for 4 by Z.S. and Co.of Bavaria. All of the pieces have the green makers mark on the underside. Dating it back to 1880 through 1918. These sets are very difficult to find in good condition, as they are so fine and fragile. This particular set is in remarkable condition, especially considering its age. I have all the pieces, and all are free of chips or cracks. The lustrous pattern is very pretty and features a flower basket design on a white center with a wide bright iridescent rim. There is black trim and black handles on all the pieces. The 15 pieces to the set consist of: a teapot, creamer, sugar, 4 cups, 4 saucers, and 4 dessert plates. The teapot stands 6 and 3/4 in tall, the sugar bowl is 5 in tall, and the creamer is 3 and a1/4 in high. There are 21 matching pieces. 9 cups and 12 saucers, one with a chip. The luster is a opalescent greenish blue and tan colors. And are hand painted palm trees a fence, clouds and birds. There is handpainted gold in the fence, clouds and on the upper rim of the cups and the center rim of the saucers. This is a perfect child’s set in size. There are 21 matching pieces. 9 cups and 12 saucers, one with a chip. This set is in excellent good clean condition. The cups have a scalloped shape and have black handles and black bottom rims. This early ceramic pot has a scarce scenic transfer design in rust color of an American steam-powered riverboat with figures on one side. And an 18th century American Naval warship with anchor and large eagle on the opposite side(flying both American and British flags) The teapot is 9.5" long x 6" high. The body is in very good condition with little to no staining and only 2 minor hair lines, one on each side(not very obvious) The cover has scenic designs on each side as shown and does have an old repair to the finial and an age line. Stunning 17 pc. antique art deco multi-colored lusterware tea & dessert service
Offered from my personal collection(and hard to part with) is this fabulous multi-color geometric art deco 17-piece coffee or tea and dessert service from TT. Japan. The design features all kinds of angular shapes in blue, orange, yellow and peach luster, black accent dots and gold encrusted handles and finials. The teapot, lidded sugar bowl, cream pitcher and cups are all oval paneled shapes with the colored luster squares on the upper portion and peach luster on the bottom portions. The interiors of the cups are also in the peach luster. Included are: Lidded teapot. 10" long from spout to handle, 5" at its widest, 3½" x 2½" base, 6" tall including the lid Lidded sugar bowl. 7" long including both handles, 3¾" at its widest, 2¾" x 2" base, 4½" tall including the lid ... moreCream pitcher. 6" long from spout to handle, 3-3/8" at its widest, 2-3/8" x 2" base, a little under 3½" tall 4 coffee or tea cups. 4½" wide including the handle, 3½" in diameter at the rim, 1¾" diameter base, 2¼" tall 4 very gently scalloped saucers. 5½" in diameter 4 very gently scalloped cake plates. 7¼" in diameter The set is well used and has the wear and tear commensurate with its age. There is no glaring flaw or defect. Wear to the gold trim is the most noticeable sign of age and use but otherwise the set is in remarkably good condition. This is such a pretty set! 24 pieces(not counting the 2 lids) A beautiful antique set- with some history! Inside the teapot I found a note. with some family history and dates. This set was given as a wedding gift on Sept. 18th. 1929. I found another note in the vase, which was also a wedding gift from the same wedding. The back of the plate is hand-written in gold of the details that are on the note. I can only put 12 photos on the listing- so that photo does not show. The plates(not the saucers) look worn. Not sure from storage or use. One saucer has a crack(which someone wrote on the underside"cracked" and put a blue line by the crack. The rest of the items look amazing! Beautiful condition! I was shocked when I saw the notes and the age of this set. 6 saucers. 6 cups. 6 plates, 1 sugar bowl with lid. 1 creamer, 1 teapot, 1 plate ... morewith scene, 1 vase with 3=d flowers.
