I have posted pictures of my research in the photos above. This is a beautiful set with an engraved reath design motif in an elegant neoclassic style. This set consist of a wood handle teapot with a hinge lid and wood handle. A sugar with removable lid and a creamer. I lids have a ball finial and all are marked NFRANCIS on the flat bottom. While the wood handle has been cracked in the top squared handle it has been repaired by a pin somtime in the past. Otherwise there are no dents or dings and only minor scratches from gentle use and care. This is a highly detailed and expertly crafted set with great detail and design such as the split tooth spout. This is a great and useful set and is a fantastic representation of early American history. I have an interesting assortment of items listed so please look at my other auctions. 496. 19 th Cent. Soft Paste Unmarked Blue& White Teapot. Mother& Child Feeding Chickens, Minor“Damage” Noted This lovely 19 th century soft paste teapot is fine other than 1 side chip on its spout& a hairline which is seen more inside than outside because the transfer“covers” it. Measuring about 10 ½” by 5 ¼” by 5 ½” Its graceful lines are enhanced by its cheerful blue transfers, carefully applied. Its lid is good with only 2 flakes& a bit of a rough edge. The top of the finial has a single blue& white flower on it. The border transfer consists of 2 distinct flowers& 1 pair interspersed with different kinds of leaves. This same border is enlarged& goes all the way around the top of the teapot. There is minor wear in 2 places on the rim. The spout has the small single blossom transfer on its top as ... morethe lid, but its front has a section of the large blue transfer. There is a chipped area just under the front’s spout, as well as worn edge wear going down either side of the top’s flat edges of the spout. The top& down around the handle features the smaller transfer size as on the lid; there is edge wear on the highest spot on the teapot’s base, as well as one spot on the lower outside rim as well as the end of the inside curving upwards end. The scenes on either side reveal a quaint village scene of a mother with her kneeling child generously feeding their chickens& a few birds outside in their landscaped yard, their charming cottage with its leaded windows& flowering vines on one wall. Another home is in the background. The transfer to one side seems oddly placed, because if you look closely the designs don’t line up. The opposite corner features 3 blue birds coming down as if to join their friends being fed in the yard. There is a hairline inside the pot on one side’s lower just past the middle towards the spout. Antique Eiraku Meiji Period? Japan Creamer, Porcelain Sugar Bowl, Dragon, Clouds
For your consideration we are offering this wonderful antique porcelain sugar bowl and creamer. The set has a wonderful dragon with clouds and writing in silver against the deep red. The creamer and sugar bowl have handles which are shaped like bamboo giving them ridges. I am not an expert. From the examples available; this mark is listed as Eiraku and from the Meiji period. I found these at a local sale. I do not know the exact age of this pair. The detailed desirable dragon design is darkened from age. I did not attempt to clean this. There is also some wear on the silver design from age, use and probably cleaning. The red has some white spots in it. I cannot tell if these are original to the pieces or not. The pair is free of chip, crack or breaks. These examples of antique Japanese porcelain are still in good condition, especially considering ... morethese were meant to be used. It stands 10" tall to the top of the round rinial, and measures about 9" across, from the top of the spout to the edge of the handle. Bulbous body topped wtih a baseball sized domed top and standing on a pedestal base, it is decorated in the earliest of brown transfer printing and finished with a lush blue pearlware glaze. The decoration is a kaleidoscope of botanical images on both sides of the body and covering the lid. The handle and spout are also decorated. The coffee pot most likely hails from the Staffordshire region of England in the early part of the 19th century. The maker is unknown. The coffee pot is in good overall condition. An outstanding example. There is a small old chip on the side of the spout and an old tight crack on the bottom and up about 1 1/2" on the lower sides, as shown in the detailed photos. There is also a small chip on the underside/inside of the lid. No other chips, cracks or repairs. It displays beautifully as is. Inside the banner it has Vernon and inside the shield are 2 dots on each side. I have tried to find this backstamp and the closest likeness is to a backstamp by Brownhills Pottery from the late 1800's. You be the judge of how old it is. They are white with handpainted gold highlights. They are marked with the Mark F Manufacturer's mark and Mark C Decorator's mark which indicates they were made around 1876-78 I believe. The teapot measures 7" high, 6" deep and 10" wide including the handle and spout. The sugar bowl measures 5 1/2" high, 5" deep and 6 1/2" wide. 4 OLD Tealeaf ironstone CUPS AND SAUCERS in the Morning Glory motif handed down through generations of the Babson Family of Gloucester Massachusetts.There is an imprinted logo on the bottom of the saucers that is hard to read but there is enough of an impression to identify the logos(see photo#8) as Elsmore Forster which dates the pieces to c.1850-70. All of the cups and sauces show the crazed. Crackled surface and various"age spots an discolorations" and"manufacture glaze flaws" but there are no chips or cracks except for a few small bites/flakes underneath on cup bottom rims. PROVENANCE. This piece of ironstone was among a collection of fine items(many dating back to the 1800s and as far back as the late 1700s) passed down from the estate of Roger Ward Babson(1875-1967) to his family. This is a vintage gold trimmed chocolate pot and 5 cups and saucers from R W Bavaria. I believe it is pre-World War II. The colors are vibrant the floral design is hand painted. The saucers are in excellent shape. The cups are in excellent shape except for 2 cups that have grazing issues. See photos for details.The gold is not worn on these cups or saucers. I believe someone made a slight indentation in 2 cups prior to firing of the glaze and the result is what happened to the cups.The saucers are 5" across and the cups are 2 1/2" across and 3" deep. The chocolate pot is 11" high and 7" across from the tip of the spout to the back of the handle.The chocolate pot is gold trimmed in great shape. The only problem with the chocolate pot is the lid. I'm unsure whether the teapot is Chinese export ware or from an 18 th century English company like Worcester. Bow, or Chelsea. The teapot is soft-paste porcelain, with normal glaze crazing. The pot is approximately 14 cm(5 1/2” high and 20 cm(8” wide from spout to handle edge. Antique Flow Blue Porcelain Tea Set Ornate Pattern Gold Design 1800's
This is a wonderful old porcelain tea set with flow blue and gold designs. The design is very showy but tasteful. The porcelain is hard paste and white. The porfcelain pattern is unique. The set includes the tea pot. A covered sugar and the creamer. The condition is excellent with the exception of some minor gold loss. There are no chips or cracks. The lid to the tea pot shows evidence of ash piting from the firing process, but nothing that detracts from this great old set. None of the pieces are marked, however it has a European/Russian feel about it. The gold designs appear to be grass or clover heads over a flow blue foilage background. This is an exceptional set. US shipping only which includes insurance. The tea pot measures 9 1/4" handle to spout and is 5 1/4" high and 4 1/4" wide.

Antique Noritake Tea Set Circa 1908-20
12.00 Antique Noritake Tea Set Consisting of Teapot. Cream Jug and Lidded Sugar Basin This is from my personal collection. I have had it for nearly 50 years. It has never been used while in my possession and has in fact been stored much more than put on display so“handling/cleaning/dusting” in the last fifty years has been slight. The marks are well known and date the set circa 1908-20. This particular Noritake mark was registered in London in 1908 and is thought to be specific for export pieces to the UK. At that time Japan was finding it difficult to meet. Understand and trade with such a very different culture and the Noritake Company designed this mark specifically for that reason. The mark is known as the"Komaru" symbol. It has"Noritake" above, Made In Japan" below and in the center is the Japanese character"Komaru" ... moreKomaru means"overcoming difficulties" so was a very apt choice. It is also known as the"tree crest mark" which is the clan crest of the Morimura family. The tea set is heavily gilded giving all the pieces rich tactile quality. With a hand painted delicate pink roses design accented by a black trim and encrusted with gold decoration. There is some wear on the gold on the handle and rim of the creamer but for the most part the condition is very good. There are no chips. Cracks or crazing on the pieces and the design is crisp and clear. The teapot spout has a clean break and the piece could easily be reattached. This auction is for an Outstanding and Rare Antique White Ironstone Teapot or Coffee Pot in the Wheat in the Meadow pattern made by Powell& Bishop of Hanley. England circa 1869. It is in Remarkable Condition. Especially for that age. There are no cracks or repairs of stains in the pot or the lid. The ironstone is white and the glaze clear and glossy throughout. There is a Very Tiny fleabite in the bottom of the pot that is very hard to see(last photo) and doesn't detract from the overall appeal of this Great Find. The pot has a neatly molded or embossed pattern of hanging Wheat Stalks and Prarie Flowers. The piece measures about 10 inches tall to the top of the lid finial and about 9 1/4 inches from the spout to the handle. The little teapot could be a 1 or 2 cup size. From the outer edge of its handle to tip of the spout is approx. 6" The open sugar bowl is 2" high x 3-3/8" wide and the creamer is of comparable size. Age crazing is visible on the creamer. The little teapot and sugar bowl are in excellent condition.
