Description You are bidding on this deep blue transferware large teapot made by Enoch Wood of Staffordshire. England between 1818 and 1846. The pattern is a bucolic landscape scene of a shepherd with his flock in front of an abbey(no recorded pattern name) This pot has had extensive old repairs to one side and to the lid. The spout and handle are in perfect condition. Nibbles on the inner rim where the lid sits. The lid had the finial replaced with a make-do finial. The pot is in rough shape upon close inspection. But displays nicely facing left. Wonderful glossy finish has been retained throughout. She is almost 200 years old and needs a new home that will accept her as she is. Blue Transferware Teapot Set
I am a baby boomer and this has been in my family for many years. It is nice and shiny with a Castle scene. There is one tiny chip on the spout of the teapot. As seen in the closeup photo. Under the lid to the teapot there is some slight cracking which seem to just be on the surface and were probably made when it was glazed; the last two photos show it from both sides. Set includes the teapot with lid, tea caddy with lid, and open creamer.

Displays beautifully but the lid is a marriage and there are a few colored in chips to the spout. The lid fits pretty well in place but not perfectly; it is an Enoch Wood seashell teapot lid. Probably from a Wadsworth Tower teapot, it has a steam hole. The lid is a pretty good color match to the teapot; underneath it has some pottery discoloration, a hairline and a small chip, see pics; the finial is original and never been off. Ebay Listing Page Antique Staffordshire Dark Blue Transferware Teapot I tem Description: Up for auction is a stunning antique dark blue transferware teapot manufactured in Staffordshire. England during the early 1800s. The teapot displays a naturalistic scene with two people on the bank of a river and a sailboat and large tower in the background. The teapot is footed and it retains its original lid. Overall the teapot measures approximately 11" long and it stands about 7" tall with the lid in place. Item Condition: The overall condition of the teapot is very good to excellent. It is very clean and it has no chips. Cracks, or repairs with the exception of the finial on the lid which has been reglued at some point in its life. There are a few small flakes to the underside of the lid and a few tiny glaze flakes to the body of the teapot ... moreThe lid is correct with the steamhole and it fits well. The white earthenware is still very bright with no mild staining on the bottom and the blue color is very deep with nice contrast against the white areas. The glaze is glossy with no crazing. And there is light rubbing to the base rim and rim of the lid. The teapot displays extremely well and would be a nice addition to any collection or home! Early Dark Blue Staffordshire Transferware Windshield Teapot
You are bidding on an Antique Stafford shire Dark Blue Historical Scenic Windshield Teapot dating from the early 1800’s. It has a printed mark“Stone China” A small printed mark that I have not been able to identify, and a incised mark of marked of 35 under a half crescent. I think these marks maybe from Charles Meigh, Old Hall Works, Hanley, Stafford-shire. This would date the teapot to be between 1835 and 1849. I have not been able to identify the scene. There are two men who are fishing near a windowless building. For its age, it is in remarkable shape. As you can see from the photographs, there is a chip inside the teapot upon which the lid rests. There are a number of cracks that can be seen from both inside and outside the pot. The lid has a small chip on one corner. Staining is visible along the cracks. There are no signs of any repair.

Blue underglaze transfer-decorated ironstone large teapot decorated with the desirable"Peruvian Horse Hunt" pattern by Anthony Shaw(185- 1900) of Tunstall and Burslem. Staffordshire. The teapot has a figural angled berry finial. This is a fine Romantic Staffordshire pattern, showing gauchos lassoing wild horses with the Andes in the background. Shaw's printed maker's mark is on the underside. This pattern was registered on August 8, 1853, as shown by the British registry mark.You can see the blue of the pearlware glaze where it pools on the underside. This auction is for a Lovely Antique Ironstone Blue Transferware Teapot made by W. Adams& Sons in the early to mid 1800s. The teapot is in the company's Beautiful Columbia pattern. Which depicts a Classic Romantic Era scene of Victorian dressed people in a garden with manor buildings and trees. Pieces in this pattern are hard to come by. Especially teapots. I have been unable to find another example of a teapot in this pattern anywhere online. The teapot measures 8 1/2 inches tall. Including the lid and finial, and is 10 inches wide from the spout to the handle. It is in Very Good condition. Especially for its age, which dates from 1819 to 1864. There are no chips or cracks or damage. There is fine. Even crazing as expected from ironstone of this era and only adds to the character and authenticity of the pot.
