Done in an art deco style, each of these creamer, sugar bowl, and tea pot is decorated with the Greek key pattern and footed base. Standard Silver Company operated in Toronto from 1895-1925. It was one of the silver companies that was eventually taken over by the Meriden Britannia Company of Hamilton. Ontario in the mid 1920’s. The Meriden Silver Company originated in Connecticut, USA. This company used variations of former trade marks that were used by the Standard Silver Company which attested to the quality and reputation of the Standard Silver Company, established in Toronto and other regions of Ontario. The pieces have the following measurements: Tea Pot- 9 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 8 inches Sugar- 7 1/2 x 5 x 4 1/2 inches Creamer 6 1/4 x 4 1/4 x 3 inches Together. The items weigh 2 5/8 pounds. Because these bear the mark from the original Standard Silver Company. These items date no later than 1925. As a result, they have the normal wear one would expect with items of this age. There are scrapes from utensil use, though these will be greatly diminished once the set is polished. The tea pot has one area below the handle where the silverplate has come off as well as the top of the spout, but this is not uncommon with items of this age. The lids on the tea pot and sugar bowl fit snugly onto the pieces. For a stylish and affordable tea set. Both sides of each piece have a separately cast and applied medallion of a robed woman done in a classical Greek/ Roman style. The underside of each piece has a monogram that reads: A. Elliott, Manchester NH. This monogram can only be read if the pieces are turned upside down. This set includes: 1 Teapot: 9 1/2 inches from handle to spout and 8 1/2 inches tall. 1 Creamer: 3 7/8 inches from handle to spout and 6 3/4 inches tall. 1 Covered Sugar Bowl: 6 7/8 inches from handle to handle and 6 1/4 inches tall. 1 Waste Bowl: 4 1/2 inches in diameter and 3 7/8 inches tall. Although the pieces are made a few years apart, they are certainly a matching set. Each piece has a rounded body and is raised on a decorative foot rim with shell form feet. The pieces have threaded bands of design along their rims and handles. Both pots have a separately cast and applied flower finial as well as their original ivory heat insulators. This is a wonderful quality set of good weight. This set includes: 1 Coffeepot: 10 1/8 inches from handle to spout and 9 1/8 inches tall. 1 Teapot: 11 3/8 inches from handle to spout and 6 1/4 inches tall. 1 Creamer: 6 inches from handle to spout and 5 inches tall. 1 Sugar Bowl: 8 7/8 from handle to handle and 4 7/8 inches tall. All four pieces are marked with the leopard’s head for London. The lion passant for sterling silver a duty mark of King William IV or Queen Victoria’s head. The coffeepot has a date letter B for 1837 and a maker’s mark WB for William Bateman II. The rest of the pieces have a maker’s mark for Samuel Hayne& Dudley Cater. Vintage Oscar Schaller / Winterling Silver Overlay Demitasse Set ca. 1930-1940
Up for sale is a very beautiful vintage/ antique Oscar Schaller& Company/ Winterling Silver Overlay Demitasse set for 6. This set has a very unique motif of a boy and girl in some type of garden. It could be their depiction of Adam& Eve. I have searched for this pattern but could not find anything on it. This demitasse set was made between 1930 to 1940. There are 3 different stamps on the set which I have done some research so I could tell where and when they were made. Most of the pieces do have a crowned S C over Bavaria which was made in Schwarzenbach between 1921 to 1950. The sugar bowl was made in Stolzenfels between 1920 to 1939. The saucers were made in Windischeschenbach between late 1939 to 1945. All these factories were actually owned by the Winterling Family and made certain pieces for each set. The sugar bowl does have ... morea hairline crack shaped like a Y but does not go through as shown in picture# 5. No other cracks. Chips or any damage. This set is in mint condition with very little if any ware. The measurements are, teapot 7 1/2" tall to tip of lid, 6 1/2" wide from handle to spout. Sugar Bowl 4 1/4" tall to tip of lid, 5 1/2" wide from handle to handle. Creamer 3 3/8" tall to the lip, 3 3/4" wide from handle to edge of lip. Cups 1 5/8" tall, 2 3/4" wide at top of rim and 3 1/2" wide including handle. Saucer plates 1/2" tall, 4 1/4" wide. I will insure and ship this set for free. Up for auction is this beautiful cobalt blue with gold trim teapot. The pattern around the pot and on the top is done in gold designs picturing grapes and leaves. Some of the gold trim looks worn from age( again judge by pictures) but is usual for the age. The teapot is approx 8 inches across from handle to spout and about 5 1/2 inches high. The inside. Looks well- and the bottom does not look like it was ever heated but I do not know for certain so please judge by pictures. This wonderful tea service is light blue and each piece. Except the saucers, has a classical scene. Included in the set are a teapot, creamer, sugar bowl, 10 cups and 9 saucers. All pieces have a beehive mark. It looks like the mark used by Friedrich Simon, a Bohemian decorator around 1900. The beehive marks are quite similar though and this could have been from another Austrian or Czechoslovakian maker. The teapot is 6 ½ inches high including the lid and 8 ¼ inches across including the spout and handle. The creamer is 4 5/8 inches tall and the sugar bowl is 3 ¾ inches high and 4 ¾ inches across including the handles. The cups are 2 ½ inches tall and 3 ½ inches in diameter. The teapot would stand 12" inches to the top of the finial if the finial were not broken off and missing. There is also a small glaze flake in the rim as can be seen in the photo. Antique English Glazed Engine Turned Redware Coffee Pot Set Chinese Style 1700s
This auction features a one of a kind 1700s engine turned or pottery wheel English coffee pot set. This set comes complete with a coffee pot. Sugar bowl, and creamer, the pot and sugar bowl both having their lids. Which is especially rare. This amazing Yi-Hising Chinese inspired set is in fabulous shape with only a few minor chips. No cracks, and to my knowledge there has been no repairs. I believe this set was produced by the dutch silversmiths David and John Elers, who worked in London and Staffordshire in the early 1700's. The brothers produced a very finely potted smooth ware with decorated applied China export designs. All pieces have a matte glaze on the tops and a shiny wet look glaze towards the bottom. Measurements are as follows: Coffee pot with lid stands 10-1/2" tall and is 9"in diameter at its widest point. The ... moresugar bowl with lid is 7" tall and 7-1/2" in diameter at its widest point, and the creamer is 5-1/4" tall and 6" across at its widest point. This unbelievable find would be fantastic if you just found the coffee pot with no lid, but to find this complete set with their original lids and no restoration is nearly impossible. This was my aunt's- she would be 93 today- it was probably her mother-in-law's. I can't read the words around the mark; the mark is either a V or a large ^ with 2 curved lines inside the V or large ^. PEARLWARE TEAPOT BLACK TRANSFER FARM SCENE MILKMAID COW CA 1800, A charming antique pearlware teapot with black transfer printed decoration of a farm scene depicting a milkmaid with her cow standing next to a stream. English. Probably Staffordshire- ca 1800 This charming teapot has a squat bulbous shape and measures 3 5/8" high at the tip of the spout with a circumference of 19" It has wonderful black transfer decoration with a farm scene on both sides of the pot. The milkmaid with her cow is also repeated on the applied handle. As well as the spout. There is a small black mark on the base, but I have not found out who made this pot. Condition The pot is in good condition: No chips. Cracks, hairlines, or repairs. There is some slight wear to the glazing on the edge of the spout and some fine age crazing. Mid to Late 19th century Minton or coalport service for 1
This auction is for all three pieces. I like melon shaped things and things encrusted with flowers. I wanted to buy more. But I cannot afford more in this set, so it goes. Condition is not perfect and the defects are shown. I take excellent, detailed pictures-so look carefully. The second shot is the base of the sugar bowl, and I believe the mark is Minton-on three of the points of hte hexagon mark, I can clearly read NTO. The other corners are not clear. the teapot with the lid on is 3.75 inches tall. the saucer is 5.75 inches across and the cup is 2 inches tall and 4 inches across. The sugar box 3.75 inches tall. It is a fine translucent porcelain and extremely fine. I love these pieces. But I have to clear out my mess. Please check my other auctions as I am having a massive scratch and dent sale. I am listing too much stuff to be really ... morespecific, so LOOK AT THE PHOTOS caref ully. If you like 18th century and early 19th century English pearlware and soft paste porcelain. Coffee Pot, Tea Pot with Tray-Kaiser of West Germany-Florence Designs Nossek
You are looking at a Coffee Pot and Tea Pot with matching Tray made in West Germany by Kaiser and is Florence Designed by K Nossek. This is on the bottom of each piece. It is white with pink and the lid has a pink and white rosebud. The Coffee Pot is 7 1/2 inches tall without the lid and the Tea Pot is 5 1/2 inches tall without the lid and the lids are 2 1/2 inches tall. The tray is about 14 inches long and 6 1/2 inches wide. It is in very good used condition. There are no chips. Breaks or scratches that I can find. I will combine shipping charges if you buy more than one of my items. I am only shipping to customers in the United States.
