This is a beautiful and rare chocolate pot marked LIMOGES BERNARDAUD& Co. FRANCE, mark that dates the piece to ca. 1900-1914. But it was decorated in 1922. Signed with the initials of the artist and dated. The decoration consists in a wonderful white mother of pearl iridiscent color and heavy gilding on the handle and spout. The style is Art Deco. Plus a creamer and sugar bowl. All the pieces have embossed rims and handles as well as an animal print. As in photo#4 the teapot lid has a single visible chip on the edge. It has 2 other little chips that are on the underneath edge only visible with the lid is off and turned upside down. There are no other chips, cracks or breaks on any of the other pieces. Lovely Art Nouveau teapot-treacle brown glaze teapot with swirly silver overlay with hand engraved details. Front of teapot has a monogram and the back has a dogwood flower. Bottom of the teapot is covered in silver so the mark is not visible. Teapots of this style were popular in the early 20th century-1890-1910. No chips or cracks. The lid fits perfectly but does not have a tab even though the teapot has a spot for a tab(see photos) so I can't be sure if it is original-please judge for yourself. Lovely little antique teapot! Single-serving size; approx. 3.75" tall X 5.5" spout to handle. I believe this is Creamware. And that it dates to the late 1700's- early 1800's. But after 25 years in the antiques business I have to say I rarely get anything this old, so please take a look at the photos and use your own expert judgment. There are small chips to the top rim, and a few on the edge of the lid. The spout has some teensy-tiny chips, more of a"roughness" to it, but not bad. It has very light crazing. 10 Pc Antique Art Nouveau Hexagonal Chocolate/Coffee Set, Heavy Gold Gilding
This lovely porcelain chocolate set features heavy gilding on gently undulating raised blooms(I think they are"snowflakes" a flower native to central and southern Europe) And a transfer-ware floral in pinks and yellows. This stunning set includes the chocolate/coffee pot w/ lid, 4 cups and 4 saucers. The pot is hexagonal and quite linear in shape. A different transfer pattern appears on the back of the pot. The cups have a delicate, scalloped shape. The saucers repeat the raised, gilded snowflakes. The porcelain is so thin and translucent on all of the pieces. There are no hallmarks on any of the pieces but the Art Nouveau style suggests a date of the early 1900s. While I can't say where the set was made. I'm inclined to believe it is from Germany or Austria. There are condition issues: 3 of the cups have 1-2 tiny fleabites ... morearound the rims. 1 cup has a larger chip& hairline. The pitcher has a small chip and hairline on the top opening and the lid has a small chip. The saucers have no damage. There are varying amounts of wear to the heavy gilding. Although there are multiple defects, each are quite small and as you can see from the photos, the set displays very well and is still completely functional. The interiors of all are very clean and free of stains. The pot is 9-½" tall and holds 48 oz. The cups hold 6 oz. Will be carefully packed and fully insured against damage or loss. This is a beautiful old cobalt blue with gold trim teapot. The pattern around the pot and on the top is grapes and leaves. The teapot was made by Cambridge Art Pottery in Cambridge. Ohio. Around their logo on the bottom reads Guernsey Cooking Ware. This mark was used between 1904 to 1914. There are also gold numbers on the bottom S5428L. The teapot measures 8 inches across from handle to spout and it is 5 1/2 inches high. There is crazing you can see on the inside, but the teapot is in wonderful condition, no chips or cracks. Some of the gold trim looks worn but it only enhances its wonderful aged look. This would make a lovely addition to any home or collection. Marked only with a number to the base of the creamer. Quatrefoil in shape, they embrace the gentle rolling shapes beloved of the Art Nouveau era. White, very fine porcelain, with a lilac edging, pink flowers and gilding. I would age these to around 1890/1900. They show no signs of being used and all the signs of being captured in a cabinet. The sugar bowl has tab handles and measures 50mm high, 115mm across the top and 55mm across the base. The creamer, with a very delicate handle and full lipped spout, measures 50mm to rim, 115mm spout to back f handle and 100mm across. No damage or wear at all. Local pick up. This auction is for a Guernsey Cooking Ware Teapot By Cambridge Art Pottery The teapot is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL AND ELEGANT ivory and silver vertical striped design on the body of the teapot with a silver lid. Handle and spout with silver around the foot and rim. in the photos. The parts that look almost black are actually silver) This is such a lovely piece. I took photos on different colors trying to capture the silver. Not sure I was very successful, but, I sure did try. This little beauty stands 6.25 inches tall and measures 9 inches from the outside of the handle to the tip of the spout. The bottom of the teapot is stamped/marked"GUERNSEY COOKING WARE" inside a double-outlined circle and around the faded CAP(Cambridge Art Pottery) logo) The bottom also has the numbers: L11 73L(the last L looks like symbol for British Pounds) ... moreAccording to information I have found. This mark was used between 1904 to 1914. Please see photo) There is wear of the silver on the piece-primarily on the handle where your hand grips to pick it up and the top rim. There is light wear around the tip of the spout and a little on the lower bulbous portion of the spout. The body of the piece has what I would consider minor wear of the silver. Honestly. I think this teapot is in AMAZING condition considering it is about 100 years old! There is some crazing present which seems to be isolated to the OUTSIDE of the teapot. The teapot is in WONDERFUL condition with NO CHIPS/CRACKS/FLEABITES found. The rim of the lid. Rim of the teapot and end of the spout are free from these flaws. There are spots on the bottom that appear to be chips at first glance but. THEY ARE GLAZED which tells me they had to be there prior to glazing. They are not sharp like a chip although you can feel the divots. Please view close-up photos of the bottom of teapot) Please review the photos closely. We found this beautiful piece today in the basement. This teapot differs than the others as this one is an Olive Green color. With tribal type geometric designs hand painted near the rim top. Right in keeping with its Art Deco era time frame. Most of these pieces we have found have been basic fired brown. This one is much more unique. I am guessing this piece to be M.I.J. I would place the timeline of manufacture to be the 1930's. I find no cracks or damage to this piece. I do see a small fleck of paint missing from the very top of the triangular lid pull. The handle and spout are completely intact. something unusual for a piece like this. I do not believe this piece was ever used. The teapot measures: 8' from spout to handle X 5' wide X 5' tall. The bottom is unfinished as you see on earlier pieces with signs of use that are natural with an item over 100 years old. There is one tiny spot on the rim that has no gold- this could be a tiny flake or just a tiny area where there is no gold. When I collected these pieces I purchased the tray separately and married to the teapot set. CHAMBERLAIN WORCESTER old antique Fine Art PORCELAIN Tea Pot English China 19thC
Up for sale here is a vintage. Antique circa 1840s or earlier Chamberlain Worcester finely executed hand painted Tea Pot. We will also be listing matching cups, saucers, cream and sugar so be sure to check out our other listings) This Tea Pot is decorated in what looks like a Japanese Tea House pattern because you can see what looks like a Japanese House painted around the bottom. The Tea Pot measures 11 1/2 inches from handle to spout, 5 1/2 inches in width in the middle by about 6 1/2 inches high from the bottom to the top of the lid's finial. The Tea Pot has a red hand painted signature under the lid which reads"Chamberlain Worcester Warrant" and what looks like the pattern number 323. There are a few major condition issues to not with the piece. There is a 3/8ths of an inch chip of porcelain missing from the edge of the ... moreTea Pot's lid. The lid is not cracked or repaired but it does have the chip. There are also some old spots of tape adhesive where it looks to have had the lid taped down at one time to keep it from falling off, those spots are not major and can be cleaned. There is a 1/8th of an inch diameter chip missing from the very tip of the spout The most major defect, though it is not really visible is a 4 inch hairline stress or heat crack. The line extends from the navy blue decoration above the spout and curves around to the right diagonally to the red orange paint, it does not run around the spout and the decoration is intact through most of the hairline except for one very tiny spot behind the spot. The handle is in good shape and not damaged. The piece is also very sound the hairline appears to tight though when you gently tap the piece you can tell that it is there. This is a very elaborately decorated Chamberlains piece and is in a pattern I have not seen before. There is a lot of workmanship in it. If you collect rare English China, Chamberlains or Tea Pots this would make a nice addition to your collection despite the flaws since it is difficult to come by. Thank you very muc

Here are six(6) antique lunch/tea plates signed RW(Rudolf Wachter) which are in excellent antique condition. They are designed in three sections. One to hold a cup(which I do not have) and two others for small treats, cookies, hors d'oerves, etc. Years ago I owned a small French restaurant and we used these plates to serve our house dessert, using flowered antique cups to serve the coffee…they were always a wonderful conversation piece, as well as being very functional. They were always carefully washed by hand to protect their lustre finish. Measure 10" x 8"there is a narrow white band around the cup space. Edged with a fine black line.
