Here is a nice White porcelain bone china Antique Tea Set for Four. The set is white and trimmed with gold with a shamrock leaf design in gold. The pieces have a wavy ribbed design accented withe gold trim. There is a trademark on the bottom but I am unable to make it out but do thing it is from England. The set consists of-5 cups and 4 saucers. 2 Dessert plates. 1 Teapot. 7" high to top of cover knob, handle to spout 9 1/2" 1 Sugar bowl W/ Cover 6 1/2" high. Handle to handle 6 1/4" 1 Creamer 4 1/4" to top of spout. Handle to spout 4 3/4" There are 16 pieces in all. Condition is excellent no chips or damage. There is a slight foxing. The Sugar Bowl 5 1/2 x 4 inches. The Creamer measures 4 x 4 1/2 inches. The extra teapot measures 3 x 3 1/2 inches. They are both very thin. Super thin, like paper and break very easy. The condition is good. I can't see any chip or crack line. Please look at these photos and ask many questions as you need to before you bid on it. Please note. A SMALL CHIP ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE LID FROM MANY YEARS AGO. SEE PICTURE 10. SOME AGING& CRAZING. SOME WEAR OF THE GOLD. BUT STILL IN GREAT SHAPE CONSIDERING ITS AGE. I do not know the exact age on this teapot. But you can tell from the condition of the Gold Trim and the Crazing that it's very old. Burgess& Campbell was founded in Trenton. NJ. In general. Burgess& Campbell items are usually listed as late 1800's. And I found the following company historical info online, which mentions that they used the double shield trade-mark in 1879: The Mercer Pottery Co. was organized in 1868. James Moses. The head of the company, claims ... moreto have been the first to make semi‑porcelain ware in this country. The double shield mark, formerly used by this company, was the same as that employed by the firms of Carr& Clark and Burgess& Campbell. It was also used at the New York City Pottery by Mr. Carr, as will be seen. When the International Pottery Co. was organized in 1879 by Messrs. Carr and Clark, assisted by John and James Moses, the double shield was adopted as being an appropriate design for the name of the company, Mr. Clark being an English potter and James Moses an American. The same shapes were being made at the Mercer and International Potteries and the goods were interchangeable. Hence the same mark was used by each, the only difference being in the name printed beneath. In September of the same year Messrs. A POT THATS HOT TO TROT! Harking back to gentler. More graceful days and manners of a society in a past historical era, the Victorians had a special object for almost every function at the dining table in their elaborate homes. Such was the porcelain fancy decorated Chocolate Pot for serving the treatful beverage that was not a teapot, not a coffeepot, it most surely was manufactured to be used for serving hot chocolate in your demitasse cups at afternoon break time and evening affairs. Our unsigned Chocolate Pot is most likely European manufacture Austrian type porcelain based upon its bulbous shape. Ornate lid and fancy flange handle, and delicate springtime blooms sprinkled all over consisting of jonquils and violets in pastel, all trimmed in shining gold gilt paint at the edges in thick swirls. Antique Hall's China B 124( custom identification code) made between 1913 and late 1920's. This is a really beautiful almost all over gold gilt on cobalt blue teapot from a Quality company that created a process that resulted in no crazing or cracking during the process. There are no cracks. Crazing,or repairs to this antique or almost antique piece. This was a used item since you can see a little residue ring inside the bottom. There is damage to the inside of the rim only and does not take away from the value. It still supports the top with no problem. The only damage I can see and tryed to show in the pics is a about 3/8" missing piece of finish at the end of the spout. It does not feel like a chip more just a smooth piece of pottery with a little paint missing. Still very beautiful. Vibrant cobalt blue, and the condition of the pot is exceptionally good. There are of course a few minor scuffs, marks, dings, etc. All of the preceding almost unnoticeable and very minor– we’re just playing critic here in the interest of full disclosure. The tea pot almost seems as if it was used primarily for decoration. The tea stains though unmistakable, are still nonetheless relatively light. In fact a good scrubbing and there’s no reason at all why you could not use this for your own ceremonial high tea. There are of course one spout and two handle loops- all entirely intact. The two handle loops would have served as attachment for two wicker handles. Of course after several centuries the(biodegradable) wicker handles are long gone. But the teapot remains entirely intact. This beautiful set is hand painted with water lilies in shades of green. White, and pinks. The edges of each piece has a soft green shade and is edged with gold. The bottom is stamped with a circle and Germany printed in the circle and the number 28. The chocolate pot is 9 1/4 inches tall with the lid on. All the pieces are in excellent condition. This beautiful lusterware tea cup and saucer is a light green color with cream below the shoulder. Made in Czechoslovakia and the#61 stamped in orange on the bottom of the plate. Good vintage condition; no chips. Cracks, or crazing. Glaze has some luster loss, black trim has areas of paint loss on the handle and plate. It measures 4 1/2" from handle, 2 1/2" tall. I have gently cleaned it. I have 3 of these tea cups listed this week along with 4 lunch plates and a beautiful tea pot and lid that all match. fine and very rare antique 18th century Chinese or English Worcester imari teapot ca 1795 in great shape for age. Beautiful hand painted designs of pagoda in the Chinese imari pallet, I believe this is called Chinese's lowestoft, the teapot is in great shape for age, age lines inside and two small chips under lid, but overall in great shape for an item over 215 years old, the teapot measures 7 inches in height and 9 1/2 inches across, this is a rare and beautiful 18th century teapot, hope it goes to a good home or collection, item sold as is,thanks and good luck!
