This beautiful and rare white ironstone Teapot was made in England by Powel& Bishop pottery Staffordshire district between 1876& 1878. Geoffrey A. Godden in his Encyclopedia of British Pottery and Porcelain Marks reference book dates this mark to sometime between 1876– 1878. I have discounted the price as a result of the small chip. Staining& glaze crack mentioned in the Condition section, see pics. Superb Antique White Ironstone Teapot Powell & Bishop Wheat in Meadow c1869
This auction is for an Outstanding and Rare Antique White Ironstone Teapot or Coffee Pot in the Wheat in the Meadow pattern made by Powell& Bishop of Hanley. England circa 1869. It is in Remarkable Condition. Especially for that age. There are no cracks or repairs of stains in the pot or the lid. The ironstone is white and the glaze clear and glossy throughout. There is a Very Tiny fleabite in the bottom of the pot that is very hard to see(last photo) and doesn't detract from the overall appeal of this Great Find. The pot has a neatly molded or embossed pattern of hanging Wheat Stalks and Prarie Flowers. The piece measures about 10 inches tall to the top of the lid finial and about 9 1/4 inches from the spout to the handle. Lovely Antique White Ironstone Teapot Powell & Bishop Hanley England c1867
This auction is for a Lovely Antique White Ironstone Teapot made by Powell& Bishop of Hanley. England circa 1867. It is in Very Good Condition. Especially for its age. There are no chips or cracks or repairs of stains in the pot or the lid with the exception of a very small manufacturing flaw that appears to be under the glaze in the very inside of the pot's lid seat(last photo) It it hard to spot and can only be seen when the lid is off. The ironstone is white and the glaze clear and glossy throughout. There pot is beautiful in its simple. Utilitarian design with no embossing or molding other than a small raised diamond design on the lid handle. The pot measures about 9 inches tall to the top of the lid. Welcome to Annsys Place! Here is a great White Ironstone Tea Leaf Coffee/Tea Pot which was made by Powell& Bishop in Hanley. England, circa: 1876-1878. This elegant pot stands approximately 9 inches in height with the lid in place. It has the tea leaf design on each side of the body and also has lustre decoration highlighting the handle, finial. spout and edges of the top and bottom. There is a ribbed pattern which is seen on the bottom of the body and spout and on the lid. It is marked on the bottom by the maker and is pictured for you. I find No cracks, chips or noticeable crazing on this pot. There is the steam hole in the lid. This piece would be an asset to any collection or to be used at the table. Antique England White Ironstone Teapot Sugar& Cream Powell& Bishop Gold Lustre For sale are these gently used teaset pieces~ all 3 pieces are stamped on the bottom.I am not sure of the design I do think it would be considered gold lustre trim~ the cream looks like it may have had flowers in it.Could use a good soaking perhaps~ there is a faint little black mark on the teapot.Teapot measures approx 8 1/4" tall with the finial lid in place,tiny bit of gilt loss on the spout,7 holes for the tea on interior,gently used in my opinion with little bit of crazing,sugar is nice,little discoloring around the rim and some gilt lustre loss,again cream looks like it had flowers in the inside some lustre or gilt loss on the handle where you would expect from use and a little bit on the rim too~Lovely set sure to add to any collection or decor ... moreor to use for your next tea.Not sure of age vintage at the very least! Antique Powell & Bishop England ironstone teapot c. 1867-1878 Rare
This is an antique ironstone china teapot made by Powell& Bishop England circa 1867-1878. It is in exceptional condition. Given it's age.There are no chips, cracks, stains, or crazing. There is minor wear on the bottom, and some of the gold gilt around the lid is faded, as pictured, which is normal for a piece of this age. It appears to have been used very rarely, if ever. Beautiful, and in rare condition for it's age! Measures approximately 8 1/2" tall with lid on, and is approximately 8 1/2" inches wide from the handle to the widest part of the spout.

Exceptional and rare Powell Bishop& Stonier Oriental Ivory Floral teapot. Circa 1885. Handpainted transferware design showing a variety of flowers in deep green on an ivory field. Each side of the teapot and the top are detailed with various vines, leaves and wildflowers, and the top shows a butterfly. Teapot is diamond shaped with flattened corners. Small pedestal base, flat rounded finial, gardrooned gallery and angular spout. Measures 11 1/2" long, 6 1/2" tall, and 5 1/2" wide. Teapot is in remarkable condition for its age. Tiny chip on inside rim, tea stain and minor scuffing on spout, fleabite on finial. Please see the photos. These are minor and do not detract from the beauty of this very rare teapot.
