The trademark on the bottom indicates that the Circa: is 1912. Grande" is the pattern name and the registration of design number is 697598. This information is stamped in gold text on the bottom of the teapot. Gibson& Sons became a limited company in 1905. Production of their earthenware products began in 1885 and continued to around the mid 1970's. As you can visually see in my posted pictures that the teapot is in pristine condition until you raise the lid up, there you can see is a 1/2" chip on the inside edge. Measures 5" tall with the lid on and is 8½" wide from the spout to the end of the handle. Glazed brown with hand painted floral ... moredesign. This set has never been separated! It was a wedding present in 1911. It is earthenware bone china with black high glaze and gold gilt engraving of loops with flowers in the center around each piece. Teapot measures 5" high and 21" circumference. Sugar measures 2 1/4" high and 3 1/2" diameter/ Cream pitcher measures 2 1/4" high and 2" diameter. No glazing. Chips or cracks. Gold on rim where lid fits teapot is worn in a small 1 and 1/2" area(Note picture) Small scratch on teapot handle, but can't be felt with finger. Neither of these things take away from beauty of the set. For 110 years old it is in excellent condition.
