Antique Haviland & Co Limoges Teapot - Ferns & Flowers
This Haviland teapot is 9 1/2" tall and has an unusual braided rope style handle. No chips. No damage, although it does have some light wear to the gilt on the rim, the tip of the spout and a slight rub on the rim. This is a beautiful example of early Haviland elegance with the raised embossed designs. I believe this mark was used between 1883 and 1885. Estate Find! Beautiful Antique D&C Limoges Tea Set- 5 Pieces. The Teapot with lid stands approximately 5 inches tall. Measures 7 inches from handle to spout and is 4 inches in diameter on the top and 3 inches in diameter on the bottom. The sugar with lid measures 3-1/2 inches tall. 5-1/4 inches handle to handle, 3-1/4 inches in diameter on the top and 2-1/2 inches in diameter on the bottom. This is a beautiful antique French Limoges porcelain teapot. It was made by the Charles Field Haviland Co. between 1891 and 1900. It has their green factory mark. CFH/GDM France, under the glaze. It features a hand painted woodsy and delicate maidenhair fern design over an ornate white body. There is matte gold on the handles, domed lid, and pattern flourishes. This rare piece is in very nice antique condition and free from any structural damage. There are no chips or hairlines. The gorgeous handle and spout are in excellent condition. There is old wear to the gold, which is typical for a service piece that would have seen a lot of use. This simply adds to the old feel of this lovely teapot. It stands 7 1/2" high and measures 7" across from handle to spout, and it holds four cups. Jean Pouyat Limoges France unique shaped blue porcelain teapot with a terrific hand painted scene of approx. 17th c. era lovers with the young man courting his girl by playing his guitar. The scenes with edge with a raised gold gilt design and there are more gold gilt accents throughout the piece. The handle is a"T" shaped and accent with a painted gold design. There is some light gold paint loss to the handle and rim of the teapot. There are no chips, cracks or breaks. There is no lid. The piece is 5.75" tall to the top of the handle and it's widest diameter. Jean Pouyat created pieces with this mark from 1891 to 1932 to the teapot dates to that era. For your consideration is a lovely Guerin Limoges Teapot and Sugar bowl. Bid does not include a creamer. Bottom of both pieces are marked and signed by the Artist. L.G. ca 1937. Bottom reads: Limoges. France. W. G. Co. According to Collectors Weekly, the mark is referenced as'Mark 3' by dealers. Both pieces are a lovely pearlized luster yellow iridescent color and in very good condition considering their age. There are no chips or cracks. But possible repair on the lid of the teapot. Nr Paris Wonderful old Limoges whiteware teapot by W Guérin showing a b/w scenic view of the Tour de Monthléry. A medieval ruin that stands at the top of a hill a few miles outside Paris. It hasn't changed much. The scene is pictured on front and back and the teapot is decorated with gilt lines accentuating its rather elegant shape. Love the handle! The backstamp on the base is the mark Guérin used from 1900. But the styling and subject all point to around 1900. Rare teapot. Measurements: 8-3/4 inches high 8-1/2 inches wide. Hello- This is an impressive 10 piece set of 5 Rudolstadt 8 1/2" snack plates. M& Z Deprosey cream and sugar bowl w/ lid, and one un-marked teapot. The set goes together very well as shown. The cream and sugar set stands approx. 3" high x 5 1/2" across, the creamer holds 2 cups of liquid and sugar bowl holds one cup of sugar. The cream and sugar bowl are marked M& Z Austria, a company sometimes associated with Limoges. The sugar bowl had some chipping to the rim, which I have filed smooth. If you take a fingernail file or sandpaper, perhaps(most likely) it can be shaped smoother. The teapot w/ built in difuser is un-marked and holds approx. 1 quart of tea. Ca.1900 Gilt Guerin Limoges France Porcelain Teapot w Handpainted Roses Flowers
This is a gorgeous antique hand painted teapot from the Guerin factory in Limoges. France, circa 1900- 1910. This lovely teapot is hand painted with pink, red, yellow, and purple roses and flowers on an ivory and light blue background. Then the handle, finial, edges of the top and spout, with a scrolled design are accented in gold. What's really nice is the addition of white enameled flowers and scroll design on the cover and top rim of the pot. There is the"W. G. Co. green Guerin Limoges, France stamp. Unfortunately, I did not find an artist signature. The painting is well executed by a talented artist. Condition: This stunning teapot is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks, crazing, paint chips, or repairs. Gold gilt detailing also in excellent condition with little wear. Just some minor wear to the inside gold rim opening ... moreof the pot and a few points of white enamel paint missing. Clean and white inside. Appears to have been used for display only. Vintage French Limoges Art Nouveau White Teapot with Oak Leaves and Gold Trim
This old teapot is of finest Limoges translucent porcelain. Made in France. The design on it is a row of green oak leaves and acorns around the top of the pot and the rim of the lid. The spout, rims of both lid and pot, the rippled handle of the pot, and the looped handle of the lid are all gilted in gold. The pot then has a row of finely detailed gold embellishment around its midsection. On the bottom is stamped"Made in France" and the French Limoges hallmark. One very tiny chip or original defect exists on the inside rim of the pot. See last photo. There is some wear to the gold gilt where hands have held or cleaned the pot over many, many years. The pot measures 4.25" tall with lid, 7.5" from spout to handle, and 4.5" at its widest girth. We are guessing this to be from the early 1900s, but it could be older. Posted ... morewith

Antique Limoges H&Co teapot. Sugar, creamer set. This set is of a heavy ironstone like china with a gold band. The impressed mark on the underside of the pieces is H& Co. There is no mark of country of origin making it pre-1891. H& Co. is the mark of Haviland china made in Limoges, France. The set is complete with three pieces and the matching lids. The tea pot: 9 1/2" in height. 8 1/2" from spout to handle, 5 1/2" diameter at its widest section. Great condition-no chips, cracks, crazing. The spout is not chipped, the finial has not been repaired. There is a slight browning inside the spout from years of tea passing through. The little nubbin that holds the lid in place when pouring has been knocked off. So.if you plan to use this pot, hold the lid in place when pouring tea. There are signs of wear int he gilt on ... morethe handle but overall the gilt in in fine condition. The creamer: 5 1/2" in height. 3/12" in diameter at its widest section. Great condition-no chips, cracks or crazing. Very slight wear on the gilt on the handle and spout. The covered sugar: 8" in height. 6 1/2" from handle to handle, and 4 3/4" in diameter at its widest section. Great condition-no chips, cracks, crazing. Some wear to the gilt on the handles and rim. It has no chips or cracks and the gold decoration is just about perfect except for a little wear on the handle. It has a goose neck spout and is approx. 9 1/4"tall. The finial is rose bud shaped. It is not marked but one like this sold in December on Ebay and had a partial mark according to the seller. This pot is spectacular in my opinion for it's age which is about 125-150 years old. ANTIQUE 19th century 1868-1975(Reconstruction period after Civil War CHARLES FIELD HAVILAND TEA SET 5 PIECES INCLUDE TEAPOT/LID. SUGAR/LID, MATCHING CREAMER(RARE) MEASURE 9X10 teapot. 7.25x8 sugar, 6.5x5 cream PRESSED MARK- EARLIEST CFH MARK WONDERFUL ORIGINAL CONDITION The porcelain on this piece was made in the original Alluaud factory Charles Field Haviland was the nephew of the originator of Haviland- David Haviland. Haviland was a family business and over the years has had the marks of several different family members. David Haviland originally went to France in the 1840's after looking at a teacup that was brought into his shop. He was so impressed by the porcelain quality that he left for Paris(a tough trip at that time) and started his own Limoges factory. His brother's son- Charles Field Haviland married the daughter of the ... moreowner of one of the oldest Limoges houses in the region- Alluaud- and started making pieces under his name(initials) in 1868. Our pieces are from his early period. François ALLUAUD(1739-c1800) was director of the Royal Limoges Porcelain company from 1788 until operations were disrupted by the French Revolution. During the revolution. The company was sold to three workers; one of them(Joly) leased his share to Alluaud. This gave Alluaud control of the kaolin deposits. He sold excellent quality paste to other porcelain factories. He also established a porcelain factory on Rue des Anglais, Limoges, in 1798. The quality of Alluaud’s paste was important in establishing the reputation of Limoges. François H. ALLUAUD(1778-1866) At his death. His son François H. ALLUAUD(1778-1866) took over the porcelain factory. F.H.Alluaud introduced industrial techniques, simplified decoration, and cut production costs. The company continued to sell the high quality fine white paste, perfected by the first Francois, to many French porcelain factories, including Sevres. By 1820 the firm owned kaolin deposits at St. Yrieix. F.H.Alluaud formed the Societe Alluaud in 1805 with his brothe

STUNNING CIVIL WAR ERA ANTIQUE DAVID HAVILAND Haviland& Co. early French Limoges IVY PATTERN 5 PC TEA SET(INCLUDES Teapot& lid 9.75"x9.5" Creamer 6"x5" Sugar& lid 8" x 7" Excellent antique condition- no breaks. Cracks, chips Sugar bowl has the earliest Haviland mark A which makes this pre Civil War era and the other pieces were from the Reconstruction era. President Lincoln's White House china was made by Haviland. If you are a collector this will be a good addition to your collection since this is a rare intact early- civil war era(pre& post) Haviland tea set. If you are new to Limoges and Haviland collecting- you're off to a good start. Your next piece might be a pair of early spill vases or some coordinating cups/saucers. David Haviland was descended from 17th c English Quaker immigrants to New York. The story goes- that someone came to his shop with a porcelain teacup that they had purchased in an area of France called Limoges. He was so impressed by the porcelain(which had been made for centuries in China but Europeans had not been able to perfect porcelain until the early 1800's when they found the Kaolin in the Limoges.
