Ca 1887. This pattern features a girl walking alongside a big dog. The teapot is 5" high, 5 1/2" from handle to spout and 2 3/4" in diameter. The cup is 2" high and 2 1/2" in diameter. The teapot has all over crazing with a little bit of discoloration. The handle has a crack in it and the lid has a chip on the inside edge. The cup has overall light crazing. Many years! This is. I believe, is from either a child's tea set or it could have been sold alone since it is so special. It stands 6.5" tall with the finial on the lid included and approximately 3.5" in diameter at the widest area. It is white in color with a white embossed design at the top and the base.each area is decorated with a different design. The front features two BEAUTIFUL little Victorian children in period winter clothing and four different floral motifs. The reverse side features a pansy bouquet. The handle and finial on the lid are ornate and really add to the charm of this adorable teapot! There is gold trim ... moreall over in different areas and there is some gold rubs and gold loss. Which I am sure is to be expected with the age. Inside is very clean and shows not stains. No rim chips to either the teapot or the lid. No spout chips. There is a 2.75" hairline crack running diagonally(SEE LAST PHOTO) that only appears on the outside of the pot.does not present itself inside. Therefore it isn't a complete break.also, it can't be felt when your fingers are run over it.very smooth and still intact.seems to be only in the glaze. Staffordshire or Leeds Pearlware Painted Child's Toy Teapot and Miniature Toy Mug circa 1830 ~ Painted Lollipop Tulips with Blue and Green Leaves ~ Mug with Red and Blue Flower Vine ~ Teapot is 2 1/4" high ~ about 6" from spout to handle ~ Mug is 1 3/4" high An early English soft paste pearlware teapot neatly painted with rows of tulips that look more like lollipops to me with three little dots above them. With blue flower detail to the handle and spout and finial. The mug has a wandering vine painted in brown red and blue. In very good display condition. The teapot has been painted white on both sides of the spout, I'm not sure why, and also small amount of touch up around the spout, otherwise everything else on it looks great. The pattern is called Cottage and has flowers. Vines, and a cottage scene with a lake, a boat, and fishermen. The teapot and sugar bowl are marked Cottage. The teapot measures 4" high and 6.5" long from end of handle to end of spout. There is a chip under the neck rim and a knick on the inside rim. The sugar bowl measures about 3.5" high and 4.5" wide from end of handle to end of handle. It is marked Cottage and there are some nicks on the inside rim and some staining. The 3 cups and saucers some wear to the rims, but no chips or cracks. Each cup measurs 1.75" high and 2.75" across. The saucer is about 4.5" across. The saucer is darling ... morewith a lovely border around the edge and a cottage in the center. The cup is very decorative with the same cottage around the outside of the cup and floral border on the inside around the rim and a single flower on the bottom inside of the cup. 496. 19 th Cent. Soft Paste Unmarked Blue& White Teapot. Mother& Child Feeding Chickens, Minor“Damage” Noted This lovely 19 th century soft paste teapot is fine other than 1 side chip on its spout& a hairline which is seen more inside than outside because the transfer“covers” it. Measuring about 10 ½” by 5 ¼” by 5 ½” Its graceful lines are enhanced by its cheerful blue transfers, carefully applied. Its lid is good with only 2 flakes& a bit of a rough edge. The top of the finial has a single blue& white flower on it. The border transfer consists of 2 distinct flowers& 1 pair interspersed with different kinds of leaves. This same border is enlarged& goes all the way around the top of the teapot. There is minor wear in 2 places on the rim. The spout has the small single blossom transfer on its top as ... morethe lid, but its front has a section of the large blue transfer. There is a chipped area just under the front’s spout, as well as worn edge wear going down either side of the top’s flat edges of the spout. The top& down around the handle features the smaller transfer size as on the lid; there is edge wear on the highest spot on the teapot’s base, as well as one spot on the lower outside rim as well as the end of the inside curving upwards end. The scenes on either side reveal a quaint village scene of a mother with her kneeling child generously feeding their chickens& a few birds outside in their landscaped yard, their charming cottage with its leaded windows& flowering vines on one wall. Another home is in the background. The transfer to one side seems oddly placed, because if you look closely the designs don’t line up. The opposite corner features 3 blue birds coming down as if to join their friends being fed in the yard. There is a hairline inside the pot on one side’s lower just past the middle towards the spout. Pink Lustre Teapot Up for bid is a very cute pink lustre teapot with gold trim and a handpainted blue and green central floral motif. The teapot is small- stands about 4 1/2" tall including the finial on the lid. And holds about 1 1/2 cups of water. It's either a small one-serving teapot, or it's from a child's tea set. There are no markings on the bottom, but I believe it to be old as it came from an estate sale with lots of old pink lustreware. I am not an expert on this type of china, so please examine the photos carefully. The teapot is in very good shape. But there is some loss to the gold trim, particularly on the handle, along the top rim, on the spout, and the top decorative row of trim along the body of the pot. Again, please check the photos. Antique ironstone child's teapot. Covered sugar and cup set. Just delightful but incomplete child's tea set. The pieces are not marked so are either very early English or American made. Teapot: Measures 5 1/2" to the top of the finial; 5" from tip of spout to handle; 3 1/2" in diameter at the fattest part of the body. It is heavily crazed with some discoloration on one side. There is a small chip on the edge of the finial. A hairline crack about 1 1/2" in length beginning at the rim, and what appears to be a defect in the firing and glazing process on the spout. It looks like a crack but us glazed over so I believe it is from the clay drying and shrinking in the manufacturing process. Covered sugar: Measures 4 1/2" to the top of the finial; 2 5/8" in diameter at the top and 3 1/4" in diameter at ... morethe fattest section. It is heavily crazed. Has a chip on the rim of the cover, and a 1/2" hairline crack beginning sat the rim. Cup: Measures 2 1/8" in height and 2 1/2" in diameter. It is heavily crazed and badly discolored. vtg old antique engine turned CHILD'S TEAPOT w/ lid ceramic Staffordshire
child's teapot Up for auction. Fresh from a local estate is an old antique engine turned child's teapot, probably made in the Staffordshire district, but I'm not sure on it's age or origin. It measures roughly 2 1/2" tall and 5 1/4" long. There are some minuscule flea bites/wear on the lip of the spout,see close up. This will make a fine addition to any collection! It is not marked but was made in England ca. 1830's probably in Staffordshire. It measures 5-1/2" long(handle to spout) and 3-3/4" high(to top of handle) Condition is excellent. There is a small chip at the end of the spout and a fleabite on the underside standing rim(see last 2 close-up pictures) Apart from that there is no damage: no other chips. No cracks and no repairs or restoration. Please excuse any glares(white patches) that you may see in the pictures. Originally part of a complete children's miniature tea set, the teapot is round, melon shaped and stands about 5 1/2" tall to the top of the fancy finial with a scalloped rim and applied handle. The color is a brilliant marine blue green. The teapot features the fabulous characters from the Punchinella puppet show(dating back to Italy in the early 17th century) of Punch. Judy and baby, along with a fanciful pipe-smoking frog. The images is repeated on each side of the pot. These fanciful characters are surrounded by an aesthetic display of flowers and geometrical whimsies. The handles and lid have geometric-floral border trims. The pattern name is"Punch" ... moreIt was made by Charles Allerton& Sons. A pottery manufacturer in the Staffordshire region of England who was well known for his whimsical children's tea sets. The teapot is fainly marked with Allerton registration mark. This teapot is in overall very good condition. Flea bite nibbles on edge. Firing separation inside spout, interior line inside bottom, no other chips cracks or repairs. The workmanship is haphazard. Which is one of the reasons many people collect it.not fine china, and not meant to be; it was made for children and probably considered disposable. The transfers are not all aligned neatly, and there is runny glaze and little bumps and dips and transfer wrinkles and glazed over edge crizzling original to the making. The naïve and hasty style adds to the folksy charm. Sold as is. Antique English transferware in the Punch and Judy pattern is quite scarce and highly sought after. And is getting harder to find, particularly in this great shade of blue green. Vintage Blue Willow child’s tea set: teapot. Sugar, creamer, Occ Japan, FREE S/H This auction is vintage Blue Willow. This auction includes a child's tea service set with a teapot and lid. Creamer, and sugar bowl with lid. On the bottom is marked“Made in Occupied Japan” The pieces are made of porcelain/china. The teapot is approximately 3 1/4 inches tall; the sugar bowl is 2 1/4 inches tall, and the creamer is 2 inches tall. There is a manufactured hole in the lid of the teapot for the steam to escape; the set has a gorgeous deep blue color. There are no repairs to the set. There is a darkened area on the bottom of the sugar bowl that looks like it was part of the manufacturing process; it is on the very flared rim at the bottom. Cute mid to late 1800s floral green transferware child's size teapot and lid
We are listing this very cute little mid to late 1800s child's size floral green transfer ware teapot with matching lid. It is only marked with a small printed green + or x on the bottom. So I don't know who made it(but it is probably either English or American) Including the lid, it is a little less than 5.75 inches tall and a little over 5.5 inches at its widest point. It has a nicely styled spout and handle, and an interestingly shaped finial on the lid. It is in very good condition for its age and potential use by a child. There are tiny rough spots around the inside rim, a small chip out of the inside of the lid, a small chip on the bottom edge of the lid, and a chip off the back of the lid finial(this is the only flaw seen on display- and it is only noticeable up close) This is a very cute collector or decorator piece.
