Hello- This is a gorgeous Antique Teapot. I believe that it is what's called"soft paste porcelain" It just looks and feels wonderful. The floral design goes all the way around the pot. There is no gold loss anywhere. It has the built-in infuser. The outside measurements are approx. 9" high with the lid, and 11" across handle to spout. Have a Wonderful Day!

CHINESE or JAPANESE Blue and White PORCELAIN TEAPOT w/ Infuser
Lovely classic blue and white porcelain. Side-handled, covered teapot with infuser. It measures approx. 4.75" tall. Circumference is approx. 14 inches around the broadest mid-section. The applied spout is approx. 2 inches long and the fluted handle is approx. 1.75 inches long. Condition Description: Teapot. Age. Wear and production characteristics include a couple of pits, areas of uneven glazing, rough and/or unglazed and/or worn spots. There is a miniscule chip and 2 fleabites on the tip of the spout. And, the glaze is worn on the edge of the spout(photos 5&6) There is a 6-7mm-length hairline crack near the edge of the fluted handle and wear on the rim(photos 3&4) T he bottom of the teapot shows light wear. The bottom is finished in a flat. Unglazed, eggshell white ceramic material: this material extends for about 1/4-inch ... moreupward from the base of the globe(photo 10) The inside of the pot is glazed(except under the flange) but shows little wear. There are 7 spout holes. From the inside of the pot the edges around the spout holes look and feel elevated with slightly sharp edges(holes were pushed from outside inward) The spout and handle orifices. And the edge of the lid and the lid vent hole are unwashed with buildup. The edge of the cover is rough and the underside of the cover is unglazed with a glazed center circumference(photo 8) The inside of the fluted handle that is visible and palpable is glazed. But just up to the point a finger can't reach any deeper. The flange surrounding the globe's top is unglazed. Infuser, Most of the infuser is eggshell white. Unglazed ceramic material(inside bottom has some remnants of worn glazing) There is typical age, wear and production characteristics, including the flange around the rim is rough with a few tiny fleabites. There appears to be a worn surface coating of ceramic material applied to the flange and upper part of the infuser(photo 9) The holes on the bottom of the infuser are not perfectly uniform and are unevenly distributed. Rare ROBUR Pottery Teapot with Infuser- Needs Restoration to start a new paragraph use- This rare old teapot needs some TLC to bring it back to its former glory but being a rare little piece I think it would absolutely worthwhile. It is a Robur Teapot and is marked with all its patent no etc on the base. There is damage to the spout that has been badly repaired but I know that a skilled restorer will be able to work their magic and it would come up brilliantly. The silver plating could do with a redo but when that was done you would have such a great and rare little teapot. There are no cracks or chips to the body or handle of the pot. The infuser is present with its working handle also. This teapot was obviously well used in its day and with a little attention could shine again. For your consideration a vintage Strainer Infuser for a Teapot. We believe it is an antique definitely vintage. Infuser and Strainer in lovely pattern with peaches. Grapes, cherries, strawberries. Trimmed with 22 carat gold bands. 2 pieces. The 2-handled infuser cup and a separate strainer. Intended to fit on top of a teapot with the teapot lid on top while brewing. Similar in design to the Royal Worcester Evesham Pattern. But it is not marked and I do not believe that it is Evesham. Study the photos CAREFULLY Strainer& Infuser are 5" tall when together. This is a 4 piece tea pot made for using loose tea leaves. Blue Roses on white on the teapot. Lid and infuser. It has a strainer on top with large holes. Another at the bottom with smaller holes and another in the spout itself. The top strainer has a long crack around the top rim. Seems to be staying together so I'm not sure if someone mended it or not. The tea pot has one of those small chips on the base. Nothing much. Other than that it's in good condition and so pretty.
