The entire pot is painted in those gorgeous Victorian colors of greens light to dark then the artist who did not sign this. Added with the right touches of color, bouquets of roses in pinks then trimmed it in Gold. The pot stands approx. 9" tall. This is in Excellent condition free from damage. Little to no gold wear. Marked on the bottom with the Guerin mark which dates it from 1891. 19th Century Quality painting. William Guerin(1838-1912) was born near Limoges and trained in porcelain techniques. After military service, he rented a porcelain decorating workshop in the Faubourg Montjovis(Limoges) in 1836, doing export. About 1872 Guerin took over the porcelain workshop of Lebron& Cie. Then in 1877 he bought the porcelain factory that had been established by Jouhanneaud and Dubois in Rue du Petit-Tour(Limoges) and which had been bought in 1867 by the Utzschneider Company of Saurregemines and run by Leopold Dubois. This enlarged company produced a wide range of wares, selling a lot of whiteware and also continuing decoration. Guerin's sons William and Andre joined the company in 1903. In 1911 W. Guerin& Cie merged with the nearby Pouyat factory, buying 3/4 of Pouyat; the new firm became Guerin& Cie. Possibly both company marks were continued; in any case WWI greatly decreased output. In 1920 or 1921 by Bawo& Dotter Ltd. owner of Elite name, bought Guerin& Cie and became Guerin Pouyat Elite, with Carl Bawo as technical director from 1923. ANTIQUE RIDGWAY VICTORIAN MILK WATER PITCHER CHOCOLATE POT INDUS GAME BIRDS 1877
Up for auction is this lovely Ridgway water/milk pitcher in the INDUS pattern dated on the underside June 1877. This is in wonderful condition. It shows extremely well with very little imperfections on the underside of the pitcher. It has a stain and a a rough edge along the bottom and I do show all in the pictures provided. The scene is flying brown game birds or pheasants with foliage and a church steeple or a mission of some sort in the background. This English Earthenware piece is a remarkable collectible. it is from the Victorian era and has the RSR(Ridgway Sparks Ridgway) mark on the underside as shown. The symbols indicate that this was produced in June 1877. It has a lovely braided handle and the spout doesn't have any dings. This pitcher stands 8 and 1/2 inches with a 4 inch opening at the spout. This is a beautiful and rare chocolate pot marked LIMOGES BERNARDAUD& Co. FRANCE, mark that dates the piece to ca. 1900-1914. But it was decorated in 1922. Signed with the initials of the artist and dated. The decoration consists in a wonderful white mother of pearl iridiscent color and heavy gilding on the handle and spout. The style is Art Deco. Antique Chas. Field Haviland Limoges GDA Chocolate Pot c. 1900
This is a beautiful Limoges chocolate pot with four matching cups made by Charles Field Haviland and GDA c. 1900. Charles Field Haviland formed his company in 1870 and later took conrol of the Alluaud factory in 1876. In 1881 the firm became GDM and later became GDA(Gerard. Dufraisseix& Abbot) This chocolate pot is in excellent. Near mint condition. It is 8 1/2" to the top of the finial, and there is a rose and floral pattern around the pot and on the lid. The gold work on the trim and on the handle is very heavy and is all in beautiful condition. The only wear I see is on the very top of the finial. There are no chips, cracks, or hairlines. The chocolate pot is marked GDA France and Chas. Field Haviland with a W underneath. Pictures 5 and 6 show the insides of the lid and pot. The four chocolate cups have the same design and beautiful ... moregold work. And they have the same hallmarks on the bottom. They are not perfect because two cups have chips to the goldwork(picture 9, left and right cup) and one cup as a hair line crack(picture 9, center cup) This cup also has some wear to the gold on the top rim. Here we have a very pretty porcelain chocolate pot with lid and 6 cups and saucers. The chocolate pot measures just under 10" to the top of the lid and 7" across the spout and handle. The saucers are just over 5" across and the cups are 2 3/4" tall and just under 2 1/2" across the top rim. Pitcher is marked E&R Made in Germany. Cups and saucers are unmarked. I found one really tiny flake(more like a rough spot) on the rim of one of the cups(see last few closeup photos) The lid has a dab of green paint as shown. ANTIQUE TURN OF THE CENTURY EMPIRE PORCELAIN TEA OR CHOCOLATE POT STOKE ON TRENT
Here we have a lovely English Porcelain Tea or Chocolate Pot. It was made by the Empire Porcelain Company of Stoke on Trent sometime between 1896 and 1912. The piece stands 10.5" tall with lid. Measures 6.5" from handle to spout, and has a 3" base diameter. It is all cobalt blue on cream in color, and features a seascape and shore scene with sail and row boats in the water and homes, churches and windmills along the shoreline. Overall condition is superb for its age, with no chips, cracks or other damage present, and only very minor crazing of the finish. The Empire crown and logo mark is stamped prominently on the bottom, and this particular variant dates the piece at no later than 1912. This auction is for a Striking Antique Porcelain Flow Blue Chocolate Pot that is boldly decorated around the body with flowers outlined in Gold accents. The piece Displays Wonderfully and would add a burst of color to any china cabinet. The handles- the one on the body as well as the one on the lid- are neatly designed in a bamboo shape. The pot is in very good condition. Especially for its age. There are no chips or cracks in the body or the lid. There is age-appropriate loss of the gold trim, mostly to the outside of the spout and the handle. The inside of the spout has some minor toning and crazing. The piece measures 8 1/2 inches tall including the lid and is about 6 inches wide including the handle. I am not certain of the exact origin. Maker or age of the piece. But by the form and feel and style, I believe it dates to the mid to late ... more1800s and likely was made by one of the potteries in the Staffordshire or Burslem regions of England. This is a darling tea or chocolate pot. We think it's a small chocolate pot because the spout is high(to keep sediment from chocolate that's on the bottom from being pour into the cup) It is pink and painted in the Dresden style, with courting lovers portraits and the typical decorative pattern you usually see on Dresden pieces. The portraits are transfers, which is common on Dresden pieces, but the trim is hand painted. The same portraits are on the front and back. There is a lot of shiny gold trim; both handles, the spout, the rims, etc. as shown in our photos. We are unfamiliar with this maker AND the design mark. We will tell you what we have researched. We believe the maker to be Merkelsgrun because they used the clover-leaf mark and the words Tscech-Slowe, although we could not find this exact mark. Porcelain Chocolate Pot Antique Bavaria Flora Moschendorf PM 1895-1910 Portrait
Selling a chocolate pot made by A. G. Moschendorf. In the Flora pattern. The pot is bottom marked with the PM in a wreath with a crown at the top and Bavaria underneath all in green, and under all that in red is the pattern name Flora. The piece stands 9 1/2 inches tall to the top of the finial. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, stains or repairs. It has gold highlights on the finial, around the rim, handle and spout, also around the mid section. The piece is is dcprated with a pair of maidens with garlands of flowers. The back ground is blue sky with clouds. The piece is also decorated with flowers, that look like azalea blossoms in pink and white. The piece dates from 1895 to 1910 based on the marks on the piece. This was my Grandma's hand painted Nippon hot chocolate serving set. I selected the 1900- 1940 vintage. But it may well be pre 1900's. I have found the same style in my research, but not the same pattern, nor the hallmark. As far as I know it was probably never used and only displayed. I looked them over with magnifying glasses and it's in like new condition without a chip, scratch, crazing or repair. It's a full 9 piece setting, so there is no searching for replacement pieces. Very old and very exquisite cocoa pot. Very fine porcelain. Beautiful shape and very ornate details. Creamy yellow body with applied enamel gold and white flowers. Vines and leaves. Blush wash accents. White porcelain figural handle. With flower detail. White porcelain flower finial on lid. There are a couple of hairline cracks on the inside at the top of the pitcher but it is completely stable. There is a chip out of the inside of the lid. As shown. Approximately 8 1/4 inches tall. Very nice Limoges 10" chocolate pot with small hand-painted pink hanging roses. The pot has a soft light blue floral trim around top of pot and lid. Very good condition with only slight wear to gild on rim and handle. C 1919 red L.R.L. mark( Lazeyras. Rosenfeld, and Lehman) Also, a green Latrille Freres factory mark. Same period.

DESCRIPTION These are three very beautiful. Old and very unique ART NOUVEAU PRUSSIA PORCELAIN FLOWERS SHAPE c. 1900 tea pot, creamer and sugar bowl. The set has marvelous flower shape with gold ornaments in fantastic quality. The bottom is unmarked. The tea pot measures 7 1/2" tall, 7" long and 4 1/2" wide(good condition) The sugar bowl measures 5 3/4" tall, 5 3/4" long and 4" wide(two chips inside bowl and small hair line on bottom) The creamer measures 4 1/2" tall and 3 1/4" wide(good condition) The PRUSSIA set has a very elegant, exotic and exquisite feel to them. Antique China Chocolate pot from Germany with 5 cups and saucers
This beautiful set is hand painted with water lilies in shades of green. White, and pinks. The edges of each piece has a soft green shade and is edged with gold. The bottom is stamped with a circle and Germany printed in the circle and the number 28. The chocolate pot is 9 1/4 inches tall with the lid on. All the pieces are in excellent condition. There are 12 pieces.
