Both pieces are trimmed in gold on the rim and marked in red on the bottom"Japanese Porcelain ware hand decorated in Hong Kong" Both pieces are in amazing condition considering their age and delicateness of the porcelain. The tea cup does have a tiny nick on the outer edge of the rim the size of a pencil tip that is hardly visible and blends into the background but is worth noting. Asian Tea Set, 6 Piece, Vintage Antique, Raised Birds and Flowers
Here is a very nice antique Asian Tea Set. It's not perfect. But it sure is beautiful! It is a 7 piece tea Set consisting of a Tea Pot, a Sugar Bowl, 2 Cup and Saucer Sets and a Creamer. I have closeups of all but the Creamer as I ran out of allowed pictures. But you can get a good feel of one side of the Creamer from the group shot and see the pattern of the other pieces to envision the other side. The design is the same on all the pieces. There are birds and flowers. The design is raised in many areas. There is gold brushed on here and there. The background is beige in color. The handles on the pieces represent bamboo. The Tea Pot is very nice with no imperfections. It measures about 4" tall and 6" long spout to handle. The Sugar Bowl is nice but I detect a small(1" hairline from the inner rim out. see pic) The one Cup ... moreand Saucer set is very nice with only a small chip on the bottom rim of the cup. see Pic) The other Cup and Saucer Set has a chip on the drinking edge of the Cup and two significant hairlines(1" 1 1/2" on the same cup. See Pic) The saucers on both cups are great. The Creamer stands about 3 1/2" tall and is great. All pieces have slight crazing to them from age. I don't know the vintage of this Tea Set, but it is older. These pieces are not marked, so I'm not positive if they are Japan or not. Insurance is mandatory on this Tea Set. This tea set was found in an estate dating to the early 20th century in Michigan.It is clearly stamped chilbow but no reference can be found to that on the internet. The set is comprised of a tea pot with lid. Creamer, and sugar with lid. There are no chips, cracks, nicks or repairs. The only defect is that the gild is wearing on the inside of the top of the lidded pieces, and there is a slight wearing away of the gild on the inside of the handle of the tea pot. The pot itself stands about 8.5 inches with the lid on a base diameter of a little over 3 inches. From spout tip to handle it is about 8.5 inches. The creamer is 4.25 inches high on a base diameter of 1.75 inches. This lovely 3 piece tea set is quite old and is a great example of vintage Asian quality handpainting on a fine translucent china. A satin finish porcelain that is handpainted with light blue hydrangia flowers on both sides of each piece and on the front side of the cover of the tea pot& sugar bowl. Exquisite gold leaf and green leaves with gold leaf branches. Gold leaf top edging and gold leaf stripes on the handles. Quality throughout, the teapot is 9" from handle to spout, 6" high and in excellent condition. The sugar bowl is 6 1/2" across handle to handle and 4 1/2" high with a chip on the inside edge of the cover. The sugar bowl is 5" from handle to pouring spout, not in perfect condition with a chip on the undeside of ... morethe lip that appears to have been covered with gold paint of some kind. The bottom of each piece is marked in blue characters; the teapot and sugar lid are marked with red as is the inside bottom of the sugar bowl. This Bavarian Chocolate pot set features a lovely Asian theme. The colors are vibrant and there are no chips. Cracks or crazing of note. Antique Tall Green Tea Pot, Creamer, & Cups Set Ceramic Turkish Asian Style Nice
Hello! This is a very unique and cool tall coffee/ tea pot. Sugar or creamer bowl and four cups. These are green with turquoise blue color. They are all in great shape with little to no chips, cracks, or any damage that I can find. The main pot is 1 foot, 4 inches tall. It has a little bit of brown stuff on the handle that needs to be cleaned off, it looks like a tiny amount of paint, but it is really dry and just chips off with scraping it with a thumbnail, so it comes right off. It's not broken or chipped anywhere, great shape! The the creamer/ sugar container with top has one very tiny chip in the lip, but the rest and the top are in near perfect shape. It is 8 inches high. The cops are all in great shape with no chips or damage, and are 4 inches high. These are very clean and the insides are very clean, I'm not sure if they have ... moreever actually been used. Like I mentioned, the main pot handle needs a little cleaning, but other than that these just need to be wiped down for dust from shipping/ storage, but are very clean already. They have no markings for a maker/ country/ etc. If I had to guess they are from the 60s-70s. These would go great with an eclectic or bohemian decor, or a Turkish/ Asian decor. Antique English 3 Pce Tea Set Teapot Sugar Creamer Asian Birds Blue Red Chintz pattern. Stunning antique. Possibly late 19th C in age. Mark is green crown with laurel leaves surrounding an English shield or crest. The pattern features red chintz like background on white with blue scenes including Asian birds, landscapes and flowers set in rectangular and square panels on a slant. The teapot is 5" tall to rim, 10" length, sugar pot is 4.5" tall by 8" handle to handle, creamer is 4.25" tall. The handles are split, pulled and resemble tree bark or bamboo textures. Some brown spotting in interior of sugar bowl visible when lid is off and same darkened spots on ends of tea spout and again interior only of teapot. Tea spout has old hairline crack running down one side if spout about 4" length. See photo. Also one old ... morehairline mark on rim of creamer near back handle but only about 1/2" length and does not touch handle, superficial. Stunning antique tea set!
