Beautiful Antique Ivory & Gold Trimmed Victorian Style Tea Pot
I'm not sure if anyone will want this old tea pot but if not. I will probably keep it because I just love it! I did not realize, until after I purchased it, that it had so many defects! They are as follows: It is possible but not certain, that the handle has been glued back on. I honestly cannot tell without a doubt but there is a faint crack at the top back of the handle. It has a brown line or smooth brown crack on the spout. The lid knob has been"nicely" glued back on and there is a small chip on the inside of the rim which cannot be seen with the lid on. There is also a small chip under the handle. I have tried to show all of these defects in the last five pictures and I hope I haven't left anything out! The measurements are as follows: 8.5" with lid on. 7" with it off, 10.25" across from spout to handle, ... more3.75" diameter(top opening) If you want this beautiful teapot. I purchased THIS AND A TEA SET WHICH ALSO IS UP FOR AUCTION about 15 years ago at a high end estate auction. The owner was a New York City. Park Avenue socialite. Which traveled the world and brought back everything and anything she wanted. I was given a photo of her at the auction, I am passing it on to the winning bidder. This a true antique. Easy recognized by it's finely crackled yellowish glaze- normal signs of its age. Which I believe it to be from the early 20th century. Porcelain Chocolate Pot Antique Bavaria Flora Moschendorf PM 1895-1910 Portrait
Selling a chocolate pot made by A. G. Moschendorf. In the Flora pattern. The pot is bottom marked with the PM in a wreath with a crown at the top and Bavaria underneath all in green, and under all that in red is the pattern name Flora. The piece stands 9 1/2 inches tall to the top of the finial. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, stains or repairs. It has gold highlights on the finial, around the rim, handle and spout, also around the mid section. The piece is is dcprated with a pair of maidens with garlands of flowers. The back ground is blue sky with clouds. The piece is also decorated with flowers, that look like azalea blossoms in pink and white. The piece dates from 1895 to 1910 based on the marks on the piece. Charming miniature Dresden teapot by Helena Wolfsohn whose mark of AR dates from 1871 onwards.definately 19th Century The company won many awards and decorated whiteware from other companies. Meissen challenged them on the AR logo which looked very similar to their early Augustus Rex mark and so they added a serpent to the AR after 1879. Decorated with a hand painted courting couple. This is a lovely old Porcelier Porcelain Tea Pot. It is in nice vintage condition and there are no chips or cracks. There is some crazing evident on the bottom of the inside. see Pics) The lid is also in excellent condition but the glaze is a slightly different shade than the base. It has a very slight greenish cast to it under my lighting conditions. Overall I think This pretty little Porcelier Tea Pot displays very nicely. It measures about 6 1/2" tall to the top of the lid and is about 9 1/2" from the handle to the tip of the spout. Charles Allerton Teapot Toby Jug Cobalt Blue 7.5" tall
This toby jug is made by Charles Allertons and Sons. Park Works Longton. The company started in 1859 and went out of business in 1942. The teapot was made between 1912 and 1942. Research says the company was formerly Allerton Brough and Green and was taken over by Cauldon Potteries Ltd in 1912. They may have used the 1831 back stamp date to make the new company look a lot older. It stands 7.5" tall with a base diameter of approximately 6.5" The jacket is a deep cobalt blue and the pot is adorned with copper lustre highlights. There are a 2 small chips on the brim of the hat on either side of the teapot and crazing is discernible around the base and brim of the hat. See pictures for details.

I have for you this evening a beautiful antique piece of Noritake porcelain made in the early 1920's. This lovely piece is made of nice grade procelain and has been cast into a classic mold shape. The piece has been hand painted with floral design and deco trim elements around the top. This is a very nice piece of vintage Japanese porcelain made by one the premere porcelain makers of the time. This will make a great addition to your collection and will display wonderfully in your favorite cabinet or at table. Item dimensions and dating: All measurements are approximate. This piece stands 5.75" tall to top of finial with the cover in place and dates from the 1920's by the mark and design elements. This is a full tea service for four that includes 4 cups and saucers. A creamer, sugar bowl and teapot. The serving pieces all have handles and lids with butterflies on them. The set is decorated in orange, blue and green in an imari style with flowers on a stand. The cups are 2 ¼ inches high and 3 7/8 inches across including the handles. The saucers are 5 3/8 by 4 7/8 inches. The teapot is 5 ¾ inches high and 7 inches long including the handle and the spout. The sugar bowl is 4 ½ inches high and 5 inches across including the handles. Antique English Teapot in Blue and White with Seated Woman Finial
Antique English teapot in with blue and white scalloped decoration. The lid has a finial in the shape of a seated woman. A chip(repaired) on the outer rim and small chips on the spout are the defects. Do not see any stamp or manufacturer's stamp on the bottom. Do not know very much about this item. Only that I bought it from an antiques dealer who was closing her store. She said it dated between 1810 and 1840.

Antique Bavarian Or Nippon Style Small Hand Painted Porcelain Teapot
This is an antique Bavarian or Nippon small hand painted porcelain tea pot. The gold moriage work is reminiscent of Nippon work but the patina and glaze point to this piece being of Bavarian origin. There is no porcelain stamp on the bottom but there are some faint numbers embossed on the piece which look to be 507. The bottom is done in bisque and there are no chips or cracks of any kind. I suspect the piece is from around the late 1800s or early 1900s and is an Edwardian piece and probably part of a larger set which is why there is no individual stamp on the bottom. The teapot measures 5 inches high to the top of the knob on the lid and 4 inches wide at the widest point. This piece is absolutely charming both in size and finish and is an excellent piece for any collector! The bright green offset by gold is stunning and the hand painted ... moreflowers are beautiful! Vintage Arthur Wood Tea Pot Sandon Pattern
This Vintage Arthur Wood Teapot is 5 1/2 inches tall the pot itself is 6 inches wide measured from spout to handle it is 10 1/2 inches wide. I am by no means an expert but from the research I have done looking for other pots like this one it seems to date back to between 1904 and 1928 before the name of the company was changed to Arthur Wood& Sons. There are gorgeous Yellow Roses on the front and one lone yellow rose bud on the back. Perfect gold all around the scalloped rim and the top of the lid handle Unlike many pots this age this one has absolutely no crazing on the pot. The lid however has some crazing(see Photo) no chips. 18th Century Ralph or Enoch Wood Ezekiel 9.5 inches Tall
I would have sworn I listed this earlier-but? This is an earlier piece-note the kiln ash and the glaze:misses: around the base of it. I consider this part of its charm-the missing thumb and the chip on the tree trunk- I consider damage. The glaze on the crow is odd and flat. His face is incredibly well molded and he is very intense. Someone has scratched a number into the base of the piece. But it is obviously a later addition. I am assuming Ralph woods due to the fine quality, but it could be any of the other early factories. I love these pieces, but I have to clear out my mess. circa 1905 Tresseman & Vogt T&V -- true green holly pattern -- chocolate pot
This little gem is just back home from the Antiques Roadshow! Richmond. Virginia(August 17, 2013) was the final city on Season 18's"hunt for America's hidden treasures! This Tressemann and Vogt chocolate pot is approximately 9 5/8" tall(to the top of the lid finial) 6 7/8" wide from the outside of the handle arc to the tip of the spout, and 5 7/16" deep(width of the base bulge front to back) It weighs approximately 34.6 ounces(or 2 pounds and 2.6 ounces) and is in near mint condition. It appears to have been either a serving piece that was never used or purchased as a display piece. There are only 2 flaws after a century: there is a pinhead-sized flake on the chocolate pot lid interior and a shallow chip on the chocolate pot base. The shallow chip is difficult to capture in pictures since the bottom is scalloped. ... moreThe narrow, yellow arrow pointing to a white"matte" spot is the location of the shallow chip. From the exterior: in looking at the close-up of the base, the bottom's smooth curved line has a hint of unevenness in the chipped spot's location. There is also 1. Manufacturing flaw: see the wider, yellow arrow pointing to the narrower area of the base. There is a chip on the exterior that occurred sometime during the manufacturing process. Its appearance was carefully masked when the gold design was added. The spot is both under the green paint/glaze and the gold accent addition. There is a slight variation in the shade of gold on the handles(pot and lid) and the gold on the top and the bottom of the chocolate pot. In addition. In 3 tiny areas, there appears to be 2, different shades of gold. My concern and question was: forgery(craft store gold paint) Restoration? Variations found in hand-made pottery? Two. Professional Antiques Roadshow Pottery and Porcelain Appraisers from the Rago Arts& Auction Center weighed in: They verified the base indentation/chip was a manufacturing flaw. As for the gold: these particular pieces(chocolate pots) just had their handles

A & C "BAVARIA" Chocolate Set, Hanging Grapes, signed A. Kach
Up for auction is a very pretty. Vintage Chocolate serving set. Colors are deep and intact, with very little loss of gold trim along rims. The only blemish I noticed was 2"dots" of black in one of the cups. Each is the size of a pencil point, and appear to be below the glazing. There are no cracks, chips or loss of color anywhere. Included is a chocolate pot which stands 9" tall, 4 1/2" wide and 3 1/2" deep at base, and approximately 7" across from spout to handle. The cups are just over 3" tall. The pot and cups are oval, with hanging grapes and leaves, and signed by A. Kach. Marked in gold lettering A& C"Bavaria" on the underside of cups and pot. I believe these to be circa 1900. With impeccable taste. One of the many makers of Old Paris porcelain produced this 14-piece tea set. Teapot with lid, sugar with lid, creamer, 4 demitasses and 4 saucers, platter, all have different, beautiful Chinese scenes. Although the platter is of the same period and blends in perfectly with the other pieces, I think it's not the original one, for it's whiter than the very subtle yellow hue teapot, sugar, etc, have. Rare Arthur Wood Teapot - Marked "Antique" England - 4991 - Bouquet Pattern
Beautifully detailed and embossed Arthur Wood porcelain teapot. Hand-painted bouquets of flowers. Along with lots of gold accent painting. Also lots of embossed porcelain patterning on the dome and pot both. Marked ARTHUR WOOD/England/4991 and a gold ribbon(like an awareness ribbon) on the bottom. Embossed ANTIQUE and what looks like JI on the bottom as well. This measures 6.5 inches tall and 9 inches wide from tip of spout to handle. Base of the teapot measures 4 inches by 4.5 inches. This was made by Arthur Wood- not Arthur Wood and Sons. So it dates to the early part of the 20th century. This was my Grandma's hand painted Nippon hot chocolate serving set. I selected the 1900- 1940 vintage. But it may well be pre 1900's. I have found the same style in my research, but not the same pattern, nor the hallmark. As far as I know it was probably never used and only displayed. We are in the process of personally downsizing our old Victorian home which is filled to the brim with antiques and collectibles acquired over the years through my experience as an antique collector and buyer of estates. ANTIQUE ESTATE ITEM MAJOLICA PORCELAIN BLACK c.1920-1930's BLACK POODLE Teapot German Vintage Erphila Porcelain Marked AK 743(that is what it looks like to seller) ... morePoodle Dog very neat and different item to display for the dog lover piece stands approx. 8 1/4" in height head is the removable top*CONDITION. Please read carefully as it is fairly and accurately detailed. There are no cracks or stains. There is a tiny bit of crazing(seen only in three areas- white paws of spout, underside of head when tipped upside down and removed, and finally the actual bottom of teapot) as is common with this item on most pieces offered for sale. There is an imperfection on the inside rim edge of the pot. At first glance. It looks like a nick, but if you examine it carefully(and I really tried) there is glaze over a portion of it, so my best guess is that it was in the manufacturing process. I cannot guarantee that, so please take a look as I tried to capture the area and see if it is bothersome. Only exposed if you have the head of the dog off. ALSO another imperfection and glazed over a a thin white line that was left uncolored, very small also on underside of head, should be noted. Have had this piece for years and hard to part with it.
