Dates approximately 1870/1890. In WONDERFUL restored condition. With no missing or replaced veneer. Inlayed to the top with different fruitwoods and all complete without any repairs. There is slight lift to the lid on the right side front edge but we feel that this does not detract. FULLY LOCKS Superb inlay to the top. With rosewood banding around the top edge. The deep buttoned silk fixed panel is original to the box. There is slight fray to the bottom right side and minor marks. But essentially it was felt this was good enough to retain with the box as these are quite rare to find. Boxes of this calibre are becoming increasingly rare. I’M PRETTY SURE THAT YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. Box retains the original lock; hinges and top catch although the pin has been repalced.
