18th c. German Thuringia Porcelain Teapot w/ Handpainted Floral Spray Decoration
Signature: unsigned Age: circa 1780 Condition: There are two chips on the underside of the edge of the lid. The rose finial has a small chip on the side of the leaf and one on the tips of the petals. Part of the stem is missing and there is wear to the paint on the top of the rose. There are some chips inside the rim. A small flat chip on the tip of the spout, and a hairline at the bottom of the handle. There is minor wear and scattered light scratches. There are no repairs. Please see photos. Japanese Handpainted Teapot w/ Lid
This listing is for a vintage teapot of unknown origins manufactured in Japan in an unknown pattern. There is a name on the backstamp that I can't quite make out so I've included a picture of it. This piece was acquired from a local estate that had many pieces of fine china and decorative collectibles. The teapot measures about 9 inches across from handle to tip of spout and it's about 5 1/2 inches deep. The entire piece is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks, crazing, or scratches. The gold banding and highlights that runs around the pieces in various places is strong with only minimal wear. The glaze and handpainting are still crisp and bright and the colors are strong. There is one and only one spot in the ceramic near the top of the pot that can be seen in the picture as a dark spot that I believe is a scrape mark ... morein the porcelain. It's hardly noticable and the picture makes it look bigger and darker than it really is. This is a nice example of vintage Japanese china. Japanese Hand Painted Luster Ware Teapot. Sugar bowl and Creamer- very pretty and in excellent condition. The colors are vibrant and the"lusterware" rainbow colors are beautiful. The teapot from spout to handle is 8 1/2" 3 1/2" wide at the mouth and 3 1/2" wide at the bottom. The creamer is 3 1/2' high, 3" wide at the mouth and 2 1/2" at the bottom. The sugar bowl is 5" high, 6 1/2" wide including the handles, 2 1/4" wide at the mouth and 3" at the bottom. It is in very good condition with no cracks, dings or dents. This magnificent teapot was my great grandmother's and she purchased it somtime in the late 1930s or early 1940s. As she could recall, on a trip to the East. She owned it and displayed it along with her huge collection of teapots and tea sets until she passed away 22 years ago. It is porcelain and hand painted and in the most remarkable condition! This is a beautiful old teapot! It has richly colored hand painted designs of rose hips and leaves around the body and on the lid. The handle. Rims, and lid knopf are painted in heavy burnished gold. This is such a pretty pot for fall and winter tea. It is made of fine porcelain and is in excellent condition. The bottom is signed L. Duncan, by the artist. There is no maker's name on the porcelain, however there are faint, impressed numbers on the bottom which read 590(over) 2. This sweet piece holds 28 oz. and displays beautifully. There are no chips, cracks, or damage. There is a bit of tea stain inside at the bottom, which may come out, and is not a detraction to how lovely this old pot is. It measures 7 7/8" across at the handle and stands 5 3.8" high. US shipping only which includes insurance and tracking.

Covered sugar bowl and an open cream pitcher. The shapes are so pleasing, made to look like little baskets with crimped top rims on each and bamboo styled handles, all in a pure white porcelain. So very fine and beautifully hand painted with clutches of delicate little violets and daffodils. The bamboo shaped handles extend down the sides of the pieces and have touches of gilt outling them. The creamer and the sugar bowl both have the mark for Sommer& Matschak- S M- in a block in underglaze green. Also in underglaze red. On the sugar bowl, the decorators mark number 1852 61. The teapot is unmarked. The teapot is wonderful. With it's spout done in the ... morebamboo design, and a well fitting lid, it pours like a dream, no drips! The sugar bowl is good and large and also has a handpainted floral pattern repeated on the lid, as does the teapot. The cream pitcher is exceptionally attractive with the handle supported at either side of the spout. And the little crimped edges to the rims on each piece add such a dainty touch. just delightful! Antique 1887 Porcelain Handpainted Gilded Teapot with glued lid
This quaint little teapot was handcrafted in 1887. I believe it to be porcelain. It is signed on the bottom in gold L.E.S. 87 with a 43, an S and a C stamped into the bottom. I know it was 1887 because I bought it about 1976 in a little antique shop in Richmond. When I bought it the lid had been broken in half and glued together. The lid is also somewhat warped, I think that was a manufacturing thing. The entire teapot is handpainted mostly with gold paint. It's a true novelty antique teapot! I am downsizing items and this is one of them. If anyone has any facts about this piece, please share! The main part of the pot measures 4" diameter, spout is 1 1/4" long, overall length about 6" from spout to handle and about 2.5" tall not including the little acorn like lid handle.

Exquisite example of early pearlware pink lustre teapot. Measures 10 1/2" from spout to handle and 6 1/4" from tabletop to tip of handle. The green in the design is handpainted after glazing and is in fine condition with no flaking. There are no chips. Cracks, or crazing on this teapot. There is a flea bite on the rim of the lid and a flea bite under the spout. It is rare to find a teapot of this age in this condition. The lustre is vibrant and the feather pattern delicate. Antique 19th C. Tischer Karlsbad Handpainted Teapot Pitcher w/ Dragon Handle
Late 19th Century highly decorated and hand-painted teapot/service vessel marked Tischer Karlsbad with an R in a horseshoe(as shown) and also incised with a"965" and a"9" on the underside. This true antique porcelain tea pitcher is highly decorated in a handpainted floral pattern with thick gold overlay throughout. It features a superbly designed dragon handle. There is even decoration on the inside rim of the pitcher. It is in excellent overall condition. A gentle cleaning is all it requires. Some of the gold lining on the rim(where the lid rests) is faded. As is the decoration on the interior of the rim. Little bit of fading and the slightest fleabites at the spout. Otherwise the hand-painting and gold overlay are better than 90% throughout and there is much decoration on this piece. Surely a rare and centerpiece item ... morein any serious collection. Antique Teapot - Handpainted - 7 inches Tall
Offered is this beautiful small teapot. Probably made in Germany but the mark on the bottom is worn and now illegible. 6 1/2 inches from spout tip to edge of handle and 7 inches tall. Hand-painted with what look to me like violets and a beautifully and delicately shaded(in pastels) background. Gold has been applied to rim of pot. Lid knob and rim of spout. This little pot. Itself, is in perfect shape, but the handle atop the lid has at some point been broken off and repaired. As a result there is a tiny chip of porcelain missing at the base of the gold covered knob on top. The teapot is small- stands about 4 1/2" tall including the finial on the lid. And holds about 1 1/2 cups of water. It's either a small one-serving teapot, or it's from a child's tea set. There are no markings on the bottom, but I believe it to be old as it came from an estate sale with lots of old pink lustreware. ANTIQUE NORITAKE PORCELAIN CREAM TEAPOT HANDPAINTED CIRCA 1911-1920 - JAPAN
This is a very pretty and unusual Noritake teapot from an estate sale with the trademark Noritake used from 1911 to 1920. Unfortunately. After doing a lot of research, I cannot find the name of the pattern. It is in extremely good condition for a piece of this age. The teapot has a cream background with a multi-color handpainted scene of a peacock among flowers. As a general rule. The earliest dinnerware was decorated with a liberal application of gol d which these Noritake pieces demonstrate. This teapot is approximately 15" in circumference. Approximately 4½" in height(exclusive of the lid) The handle is approximately 3" in length; the spout is also approximately 3" in length. The base of the teapot is approximately 3½" in diameter. This teapot has gold accents on the handle. The spout, the top rim. The ... moretop of the teapot has two stripes: the first one is yellow with a black design, the second one is green. On the front of the teapot there is a very pretty hand painted peacock in colors of medium blue. Dark blue, green and coral. The peacock is perched on a branch. The peacock and flowers are extremely detailed which you can see in the photos. The flowers are dark and light blue. Yellow, white, pink, pink and coral. This pattern amazingly has no damage. On the base of the teapot are the Noritake name and the initial“M” with a wreath around it. The“M” would indicate that it was made during the time the company was operating under“Morimura Bros. and later went by the names Nippon and Noritake. Under the wreath are the words“hand painted” and under that it indicates that it was“Made in Japan” One source indicates that this trademark would have been used during the time period of 1911-1920. However, another source indicates that it could have been made as late as 1914-1940. Even using the 1940 date, these Noritake pieces would be close to 75 years old. This is a gorgeous antique hand painted teapot from the Guerin factory in Limoges. France, circa 1900- 1910. This lovely teapot is hand painted with pink, red, yellow, and purple roses and flowers on an ivory and light blue background. Then the handle, finial, edges of the top and spout, with a scrolled design are accented in gold. What's really nice is the addition of white enameled flowers and scroll design on the cover and top rim of the pot. There is the"W. G. Co. green Guerin Limoges, France stamp. Unfortunately, I did not find an artist signature. The painting is well executed by a talented artist. Condition: This stunning teapot is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks, crazing, paint chips, or repairs. Gold gilt detailing also in excellent condition with little wear. We are listing this pretty mid 1800s English copper luster teapot(and lid) with colorful hand painted floral designs and raised beading& decorations. It displays very well and its minor flaws are mostly hidden. There is a tiny flake off the end of the spout. A chip off the bottom of the handle, and chips off the inside rim and the bottom rim of the lid(both of which cannot be seen when the lid is on) Please view the closeup pictures and judge this very pretty and decorative teapot for yourself.
