Nippon Tea Set Teapot Sugar Bowl Creamer Roses Moriage Designs
A beautiful set consisting of a teapot with lid. A creamer and a sugar with lid. Has fully opened roses in yellow, purplish and maroon all hand painted. There are some hand painted green leaves as well, but the stems and portions of leaves are a raised green moriage design. Clusters of the heavy cake moriage are in designs of flowers, randomly placed. Additional moriage designs in greens, yellows, blues and pinks. These are found on the finials, handles and bases of the pieces. This unmarked set measures in at 5 1/4 inches wide for the creamer by 2 1/2 inches at the tallest. The sugar at 6 inches wide by 2 3/4 inches at the tallest. The teapot at 7 1/2 inches wide by 4 3/4 inches to the top of the finial. All in all a very nice set with minimal issues. A couple of the cake moriage flowers beads show some wear to them. A small amount of the ... moremoriage areas have wear or interupted design.I would guess less than 2 percent. The last picture shows the tip of the spout for the creamer.this area has some roughness to it. All in all a very nice set in a very attractive pattern. Noritake Maple Leaf Nippon pedestal tea set green gold teapot sugar creamer 1880
I have for you this evening a very rare find in an antique tea set from the factories of Noritake marked with the Maple Leaf used on domestic high end wares in the late 19th century. This gorgeous set features classic mold designs on all pieces with pedestals and branch style handles. The porcelain is very fine quality and the design is simple but elegant and would have been expensive on the market at the time it was produced and would have been owned by a well to do business man or family. The lovely lime green color is accented with splashes of red and lots of gold trim and beading. This is an exceptional set and will look amazing in your cabinet or at table. Item dimensions and dating: All measurements are approximate. The teapot is 9" long from spout tip to handle end and stands 5.75" tall with the cover in place. The covered ... moresugar bowl is 8" across including the handles and stands 5" tall with cover in place. The creamer measures 6" from spout tip to handle end and stands 4" tall to the top of the handle. This set dates from the late 19th century by the marks and design elements. Item condition report: The teapot has a chip off the spout but all else is clean with no other chips. Cracks or crazing. The gold is lightly worn on the high spots and handles but the set still shows very well. This is a lovely vintage iridescent Japanese chocolate/coffee/tea/espresso set with a pot and 5 cups and saucers. There are no cracks. It is stamped"Nippon" The pot measures approximately 5 1/8" at the base and is 7 7/8" high to the top of the spout. From the spout to the handle. It measures approximately 6 1/2" The pot has some small blemishes. Which are not obvious. The saucers are approximately 5" in diameter. Some of them show a little bit of wear. The set includes a big chocolate or tea pitcher with its lid. Four cups, one saucer, a sugar bowl with its lid and a creamer pitcher. Unfortunately I do not have the missing 3 saucers. This set only includes ONE. From my research i concluded that this set is Nippon(all the pieces are unmarked. But the sugar bowl which is marked JAPAN and the saucer which has a marking in Japanese that I could not make out) I am not sure if the sugar bowl is from the same era, but the whole set was purchased together. VTG/Antique Morimura Hand Painted Nippon (Japan) Creamer (Tea Set Piece)
This is a beautiful creamer with the Morimura Hand Painted Nippon backstamp on the bottom(M in wreath) It is my understanding that this would likely date the piece to between 1911 and 1921. When this stamp was used. I am not an expert and am selling this as is. Described to the best of my knowledge. It is a very lovely piece. With spectacular, vibrant colors. I find the colors to be especially captivating. The scene depicts flowers and birds. It appears that the handle may have had gilt paint at some point. Which has worn. The base of the handles suggest this to me. Along with the wear or gilt along the handle. The gilt trim on the upper and lower rims also have fading. There is some debris/ staining to the piece. At the tip of the spout. There is a crack that encircles the top of the point, as shown in the photos. It may have been repaired ... moreat some point. Or simply cracked. I do not find it to be glaring. The inside has some subtle staining. Some fading to the paint. The creamer measures 4.5” tall. This is a beautiful display piece and. Rudolstadt Floral Plates Made in Japan Nippon? Limoges Style M Z Teapot Tea Set
Hello- This is an impressive 10 piece set of 5 Rudolstadt 8 1/2" snack plates. M& Z Deprosey cream and sugar bowl w/ lid, and one un-marked teapot. The teapot may be a Made in Japan or Nippon piece, not sure. The set goes together very well as shown. The cream and sugar set stands approx. 3" high x 5 1/2" across, the creamer holds 2 cups of liquid and sugar bowl holds one cup of sugar. The cream and sugar bowl are marked M& Z Austria, a company sometimes associated with Limoges. The sugar bowl had some chipping to the rim, which I have filed smooth. If you take a fingernail file or sandpaper, perhaps(most likely) it can be shaped smoother. The teapot w/ built in difuser is un-marked and holds approx. 1 quart of tea. The tea pot measures 5" tall with a base of about 5-1/2" All pieces are marked and decorated with grapes, green leaves and gold vines. Accented in gold moirage, raised porcelain dots. Three cups and saucers, creamer, lidded sugar and lidded tea pot, all in near excellent condition. I see no chips, cracks or scratches. Stunning to look at. It came from an elderly friend of my grandmother but I am not an expert so please look at pics and read description. This set is very dainty in size and design and consists of 18 beautiful pieces and is made from a very fine and delicate bone china in a lovely shade of soft sage green which has been entirely hand painted and decorated with flourishes of pink blossoms and lovely green foliage. The cups are almost eggshell type china. Very light and slightly transparent in the light. The painting on each piece of this set has a matte finish which is highlighted with glossy deep cobalt blue.
