The pattern is called Cottage and has flowers. Vines, and a cottage scene with a lake, a boat, and fishermen. The teapot and sugar bowl are marked Cottage. The teapot measures 4" high and 6.5" long from end of handle to end of spout. There is a chip under the neck rim and a knick on the inside rim. The sugar bowl measures about 3.5" high and 4.5" wide from end of handle to end of handle. It is marked Cottage and there are some nicks on the inside rim and some staining. The 3 cups and saucers some wear to the rims, but no chips or cracks. Each cup measurs 1.75" high and 2.75" across. The saucer is about 4.5" across. I am delighted to offer for your consideration a Wonderful White Ironstone Child's Teapot in the Ceres Wheat Pattern. I believe by Elsmore and Forster. It measures a mere 5 3/4 inches tall! There is minor discoloration near the base of the spout and the bottom of back side as well as a minor flea bite in the underside of the lid not at all noticable but felt I must mention. And show their age in a few imperfections as follows: The plates and saucers have uniform. Tight glaze crazing. The gold edging on all pieces is worn. The handles on both teacups appear to have suffered clean breaks that were very neatly mended(requires close scrutiny to detect, but faint joins are visible in some photos) One teacup has received more serious damage and additional repair- it has a vertical hairline crack next to the handle. Random lines of ... moreglaze crazing, and a mended chip on its inside surface. The edge above the hairline and this mend is rough and missing most of the gold edge color. This cup also has two tiny flea-bites on the base, only visible when the cup is inverted. The teacups appear to be composed of a somewhat more dense/heavy porcelain material than are the plates and saucers. Which seem to me to have a slightly lighter and more porous ceramic quality than the cups. Illustrations are different from one piece to the next, except for the 2 saucers, which are identical. There are 21 matching pieces. 9 cups and 12 saucers, one with a chip. The luster is a opalescent greenish blue and tan colors. And are hand painted palm trees a fence, clouds and birds. There is handpainted gold in the fence, clouds and on the upper rim of the cups and the center rim of the saucers. This is a perfect child’s set in size. There are 21 matching pieces. 9 cups and 12 saucers, one with a chip. This set is in excellent good clean condition. The cups have a scalloped shape and have black handles and black bottom rims. There is a makers mark on the bottom of the cups but not on the saucers. The makers mark reads“197” and“S H C” and there is a fish inbetween the ... moretwo marks. Pink Lustre Teapot Up for bid is a very cute pink lustre teapot with gold trim and a handpainted blue and green central floral motif. The teapot is small- stands about 4 1/2" tall including the finial on the lid. And holds about 1 1/2 cups of water. It's either a small one-serving teapot, or it's from a child's tea set. There are no markings on the bottom, but I believe it to be old as it came from an estate sale with lots of old pink lustreware. I am not an expert on this type of china, so please examine the photos carefully. The teapot is in very good shape. But there is some loss to the gold trim, particularly on the handle, along the top rim, on the spout, and the top decorative row of trim along the body of the pot. Again, please check the photos. Antique ironstone child's teapot. Covered sugar and cup set. Just delightful but incomplete child's tea set. The pieces are not marked so are either very early English or American made. Teapot: Measures 5 1/2" to the top of the finial; 5" from tip of spout to handle; 3 1/2" in diameter at the fattest part of the body. It is heavily crazed with some discoloration on one side. There is a small chip on the edge of the finial. A hairline crack about 1 1/2" in length beginning at the rim, and what appears to be a defect in the firing and glazing process on the spout. It looks like a crack but us glazed over so I believe it is from the clay drying and shrinking in the manufacturing process. Covered sugar: Measures 4 1/2" to the top of the finial; 2 5/8" in diameter at the top and 3 1/4" in diameter at ... morethe fattest section. It is heavily crazed. Has a chip on the rim of the cover, and a 1/2" hairline crack beginning sat the rim. Cup: Measures 2 1/8" in height and 2 1/2" in diameter. It is heavily crazed and badly discolored. It has two chips on the rim and a 3/4" hairline crack beginning at the rim. The only surviving pieces of what was likely a large set of play dishes. 3 pc Antique Pink Transferware Tea Cup,Saucer Dish~Child Hunter,Fisherman,Horse
3 piece of antique pink/ white transferware including two cups( 3 3/4" dia x 2 7/8" ht) and one saucer- dish 5 3/4" dia. The cups have two different scenes both have the boy with net and fisherman. and one has a blacksmith horse scene. and the second has a boy with game rabbits over his shoulder watching his father shoot at some game birds. The saucer shows a Dutch man holding a Alphorn and several goats. All three pieces are still in excellent condition. Some normal pop rock flaws in the basin of one cup.
