This is an Antique Wheeler& Wilson Treadle Sewing Machine Bobbin Winder. This fits a W&W Model No. 9(W9) sewing machine and may fit other models. I have pictured the machine this part came from. The part has been oiled and spins easily. The wheel is discolored on the end. The paint has heavy wear. The retaining spring is strong. The bobbin stem measures just under 1/4" diameter. We are offering a totally untouched Wheeler and Wilson No. 9 Family Sewing Machine. It is 100% original. Nothing altered. Beautiful patina. Tiger Wood does have a couple of lamination separations as shown in the photo. This treadel machine has the cast iron base and predates the later model ones that have the Singer logo. We also have the Instruction booklet for the attachments, but s of yet, have been unable to locate the attachments themselves. I do know there are some available on the market, but have never seen an original instruction booklet vrs. digital copies. My business was home restorations and I can crate and ship it at your expense or I can deliver it within driving distance from Jacksonville. FL for a reasonable fee. Vintage Wheeler & Wilson 1892 D-9 bookcase front sewing machine
This is a VERY RARE bookcase/treadle sewing machine. It has a glass mirror and book case with books that show either Irving or Scott as authors. This is a 1892 Wheeler Wilson model D-9 we believe in original condition with original finish(we inherited from our parents who were Collectors) It is a parlor type cabinet with storage shelves behind the hinged book case door. It has the key for the lock and the oak accessories box with the attachments that has a handwritten note taped inside dated 1944 with the owner's name stating this machine is one of only 6 originals for this cabinet type. Based on the note's claim of rarity we searched for fair pricing and found no recent past history(actually no past sales period) and very little descriptive information. We did find one reference to The Encyclopedia of Early American Sewing Machines ... morelisting this particular machine in their"Rare" category defined as"only 6 to 25 surviving examples. We must emphasize this has not been verified but hopefully the source is accurate. The cabinet is in excellent condition and appears to be original finish. Only one small flaw on the bottom right corner of the top. Description: A nice early Wheeler& Wilson No. 9 sewing machine in an absolutely gorgeous light oak treadle cabinet. I purchased this item because I loved the cabinet. But with an upcoming cross country move in the not-too-distant future, I need to begin selling some of my vintage and antique sewing machine collection. The machine is in working condition, everything moves just fine, but I haven't used it for actual sewing because I've just not been able to get the hang of treadling. The decals seem to be worn off in many areas, although some of them may be revealed with a good, proper cleaning. Also included is the original wood box with attachments: ruffler. Tucker, narrow and adjustable hemmers, some other feet that I'm not sure of, two metal bobbins, two screwdrivers. There are a few miscellaneous sewing related items in ... morethe drawers of the cabinet. The original sewing machine and attachments manuals have been photocopied and the originals(in fragile condition) are stored in protective plastic sleeves. The left side of the cabinet needs a couple of the small finishing nails reset to secure the side bracing properly. See the photos. My items are mostly of vintage years. Found at local estate and tag sales, so in most cases I cannot verify if they were always in a smoke-free environment. They come to you from my smoke-free, pet-friendly home. Description: This item is available for local pickup only in McMinnville Oregon(southwest of Portland) Please do not request shipping to other areas. A nice early Wheeler& Wilson No. 9 sewing machine in an absolutely gorgeous light oak treadle cabinet. I purchased this item because I loved the cabinet. But with an upcoming cross country move in the not-too-distant future, I need to begin selling some of my vintage and antique sewing machine collection. The machine is in working condition, everything moves just fine, but I haven't used it for actual sewing because I've just not been able to get the hang of treadling. The decals seem to be worn off in many areas, although some of them may be revealed with a good, proper cleaning. Also included is the original wood box with attachments: ruffler. Tucker, narrow and adjustable hemmers, ... moresome other feet that I'm not sure of, two metal bobbins, two screwdrivers. There are a few miscellaneous sewing related items in the drawers of the cabinet. The original sewing machine and attachments manuals have been photocopied and the originals(in fragile condition) are stored in protective plastic sleeves. The left side of the cabinet needs a couple of the small finishing nails reset to secure the side bracing properly. See the photos. My items are mostly of vintage years. Found at local estate and tag sales, so in most cases I cannot verify if they were always in a smoke-free environment. They come to you from my smoke-free, pet-friendly home. I do my very best to describe each item accurately and will always point out to you any damage I have noted and/or working condition. We believe this was made 1890s based on research from the Needlebar site. The treadle works and we can turn the sewing machine by hand but we have not tried it with a belt. Condition: The condition is not very good. I think the wood looks better in pictures than it does in real life. I can take specific pictures for anyone interested. We prefer local pickup in Baltimore MD. Unless you want to buy it for parts and then we can charge actual shipping and we will partially disassemble for packaging.

Rare WHEELER & WILSON NO 9? 1872 1878 SEWING MACHINE SN: 2827 Motorized antique
I think this is a portable. Electrified number 9 wheeler and wilson. D 9? Serial number 2827. Patent dec 27, 1881 on thread take up lever. On the plate it's marked 1872 and 1878. Bobbin patented 1885. I have not been able to find out exactly what this antique machine is. I don't know if it's a special industrial edition issued to the army, or maybe it's a prototype. By this year the serial numbers were at least 6 digits. The industrial paint is very rare on this model. See pics for condition details. I don't see any reason that this machine wouldn't work other than it needs a foot pedal. Curved needle not included. Case in rough Condition but serves it's propose. I can ship without it if you like. I'm not sure when this was retrofitted with an electric motor. Comes with 2 lights. Weird 3 pronged cord connectors(see ... morepics) Paint in pretty good condition. See pics for a scratch and some paint coming off on the machine bed. Great old machine that could be embellished however you like original gold decals or what not if it's too pain for you. The color is an army brown color. Almost grey.
