1920s Singer Model 20 Childs Mini Sewing Machine- All Original, Works Well
Offered here is a 1920s cast iron child's mini sewing machine. Model 20 by Singer. It is in working condition. With original parts. There is a needle installed. And there is no fabric guide. The mechanism runs smoothly. There is some minor paint loss of the black enamel here and there(see pics) The gold lettering and Singer logo are 99% + all there. The chrome and metal pieces look like they can be shined up with proper cleaning and the plate shows some tarnishing. The spool holder metal shaft is missing and will need to be replaced. It is in good shape though and will look great with some TLC. Measurements are 7" long x 7"high x 3 1/2" deep. A nice wooden platform in black with gold trim was made as a mount for display. Vintage Singer Model No. 20 Child's Motorized Electric Sewing Machine
I have included lots of pictures. It is not the cameras fault that I don't take better pictures. Im just not an expert. This is a nice childs, kids or childrens sewing machine. I have taken quite a few pictures to show how easily the machine comes apart from the electric stand. 1 large screw in the bottom holds the machine in place. The motor is there but I don't know if it works or not. The plug has an exposed wire so I did not plug it in. The machine works just fine without it as I have tried it and the wheel turns just fine. The knob is there. This electric machine dates back to the 1910 era. If you need any further information please ask. I would love to hear from you. Sweet Little Singer This is a wonderful old miniature Singer cast iron sewing machine. A diminutive"Model 20" from the late 1920s to 1930s. These were made and marketed as a child's first sewing machine and were also useful for travel. This model, with oval pedestal and wood knob, is in very nice condition. Though could use a cleaning and oiling. The mechanism turns smoothly and the needle and parts appear to move as designed. I have not tested it with thread and fabric. There are some light scuffs and dings- nothing major- and just a bit of surface rust that a cleaning would take care of. The spool pin was missing so I purchased a replacement and I will also include new spool felts and needle. The fabric guide is missing but it's not a necessity and replacements are available. Antique Singer Model 20 Hand Crank Child's Sewing Machine For Girls 1914
This is a really nice early Singer sewing machine in very good condition! As you can tell by the phots. This is dusty from disuse and I imagine it needs an oiling, although all the parts move freely. The black paint and gold decals are in exceptional condition, some age oxidation to the nickel as would be expected, but as I mentioned it has not been cleaned in any way and I suspect some is just dirt. This does have the threads guides, dating it to 1914 or a little later. It is missing the screw behind the needle slot and the fabric guide, otherwise it appears to be all complete and is definitely all original, with a beautiful form and fancy spokes. No wear or damage to the wood crank handle, I don't think this little gem has seen much use! I have not cleaned the machine, the rust may clean away. I will leave that decision to the buyer. This is a 7 spoke wheel, which I understand is rare. The machine works fine, includes the C clamp. The only real paint damage appears where the clamp( not included) would go. There is a needle. This is a 7 spoke model. The thread guide is not numbered. These models are hard to find. The manual has been taped and is missing a corner( pictured) The manual is dated 1922- revised may 1923. The felt is complete and not missing pieces. There are a few nicks and scratches- please see pictures. I have not cleaned this- it looks like a very light cleaning is all that is needed. All Singer insignia is complete and in great condition. The box is original as well. It has been reinforced with clear tape. It is original to the machine and the bottom shows wear. This model 20 is CLEAN. It still has most of the original green felt base intact. The decals are bright and beautiful. It has the more rare black seven-spoked wheel. Vintage Singer Toy/Childs Model Sewing Machine-Model 20 - Dates 1914-1925
Singer Model 20 Child's Sewing Machine 1914-1925 What a great estate find. I had fun doing the research on this one. This machine was first introduced in 1910 as a childs sewing machine. It was built and functions as a true machine. It is cast iron and metal and is meant to be clamped to a table to keep it steady while hand cranking. This version dates between 1914 and 1925. After 1925. They had stamped numbers on the thread path. I have a print out for the thread path( will include) These machines were intended for use by children to learn to sew. They stitch a chain stitch. there is no bobbin. There is a hook mechanism that catches the thread as the fabric moves forward. There is a stitch length adjustment as well. I cleaned this up a little. I know that more of the crud can be removed with solvents on the metal parts. I sewed a few ... moresamples with it and it really does a good job. Because it is a chain stitch. It can be easily removed. The clamp in the picture is not original.it is from my toolbox. I will include it because this tiny machine need to be anchored to the table in order to clamp it. Authentic antique Singer toy sewing machine no. 20 for children 1926 model
Up for auction is an authentic Singer sewing machine no. 20. It is a working mini sewing machine from the early to mid 1900s designed to teach young girls to sew. The original box and instructions are included. It was given to me by my grandmother. So I don't know much about it. As far as I can tell, it is the 1926 model because it has numbers stamped on it showing where the thread goes(although I don't think the machine itself is that old) I do know that it is not the Turkish remake from the 1970s. It is in 100% working order and includes the table clamp. The machine is in good shape for its age, but does show rust in a few places. The box and instructions are both in pretty rough shape, to say the least(see pictures) The instructions do have, as far as I can tell, all their original pages. Antique Singer Model 20-2 Child's Miniature Toy Chain Stitch Sewing Machine. Ca.1914. This is the model with the added tension discs and 7-spoke handwheel but without the numbered thread path. The machine works smoothly. There is some enamel loss where the machine would get clamped. The rest of the enamel is nearly flawless. The decals are very crisp and legible. The nickel plating has been well retained with only minor loss; mostly needs a polish. Lovely green felt pad under the base. Excellent condition.

SINGER MODEL 20 TOY SEWING MACHINE TSM VINTAGE ORIGINAL BOX FREE SHIPPING
First. I need to say that I'm not an expert on toy sewing machines. I've been given these to sell on consignment but the lady(from whose collection these came) has moved several times, the latest into a Care Facility, and most records became lost. I've done my best to date and describe these machines but if anyone viewing this or any other TSMs I have up for sale has any information I heartily encourage you to please step forward and share it. This is a cast iron Singer Model 20. This is one of the 7 spoke versions. Also known as the 1922 model. It has the"V" shaped grove for the clamp, which was specialized just for these types and it does include the clamp. It features the black painted 7-spoke handwheel with a nickel plated rim. It includes the thread route numbering system. I would describe the condition of this ... moremachine as between good and very good. There is some wear to the black paint. It was obviously played with in its day and has a few knocks to show it but pretty well taken care of, too, considering that it is in the vicinity of 80+ years old. The gold decals display well and the metal parts show no rust or corrosion. Take a look at the stitch plate. The felt on the bottom pad of the TSM is intact. It does not include the thread holder(little upright bar or rod) which was located next to the handwheel. At some point in the past someone must have unscrewed it and it became lost. The handwheel action turns well and smoothly. Includes a needle. Accurately dating toy sewing machines can be maddeningly difficult. Even though this is the so-called"1922" version of the Model 20, which continued manufactured into the 1930s, my best guess is that this one is actually from later in the 1920s. 1910/1914 Child's Singer Model 20 Miniature Toy Sewing Collection
Rare boxed Singer 1910 and early 1914 Model 20 Sewing Machines and Collection of ephemera. Both machines are seized from sitting the better part of a century. But are otherwise in excellent condition in original boxes with original clamps and hard to find original needle packs. Both boxes have a split where the top and one side have separated from each other, but are otherwise completely intact and in pretty good shape for being over 100 years old. The 1910 has the original flat screwdriver, thread and instructions, and there is also an additional small screwdriver that came with it. The 1914 has a reproduction screwdriver and the instructions are from a later version(original Singer, not reproduction) The 1914 machine is the very rare early version that retained the base clamp boss of the 1910 model. Antique Singer Child's Sewing Machine I believe this is the Singer Model 20 Miniature Toy Sewing Machine. It has the 7-spoke handwheel and a numbered thread path. The machine does work. But needs a good cleaning. There are dents on the sewing plate, and some tarnish on the nickel plating which needs to be cleaned and polished. The black enamel is in very nice condition, as well as the decals, and the bottom has a green felt padding. Measurements are 7"length x 4"width x 6"height. Cleaned and polished. Rare Type#1 4-Spoke Child's Miniature Model 20 Sewing Machine of 1910 to 1913. The machine is complete and original except for the cloth guide. Screw and flat screw driver which are reproduction. There are chips and scuffs to the paint, the logos are worn away in places, and much of the nickel plate is rusty in varying degrees. The machine turns freely and everything operates as it should, but I have never tried to sew with it(although I have read that these machines are hard to use because they don't have the thread tensioner of the later models) The table clamp is the correct one for this machine and is original Singer. Unlike the flimsy construction of many vintage toy sewing machines. The heavy cast iron construction of this antique Singer child’s sewing machine gives it an enduring quality and appearance. As you can see by the photos, the machine offered for bid is in great condition, although there are some corrosive spots on the edge of the hand wheel and sewing plate. The sewing mechanism was serviced and functions as designed. More than a toy, women once used this machine for light sewing projects. Also comes with a vintage wooden thread spool, seam guide, clamp(not Singer) and reproduction of the 1914 instructions. WELCOME* THIS AUCTION IS FOR A* 1914 SINGER 20* TOY SEWING MACHINE* This 100 Year Old Toy Sewing Machine is the second variation Singer 20 made. Starting in 1914, with an 8 Spoked Hand Wheel. This example has the earlier style base, with raised area where the hold down clamp goes. Same as the first model. Made 1910, which has a 4 spoke handwheel. Later 2nd gen. models have a flat area with 2 raised ridges. The body is clean and has a few tiny scratches, and has touch ups on the base where the table clamp goes. The"SINGER" on the front of the base has light wear. The remaining graphics are better. All bright parts have been burnished clean. Toy has been lubricated and adjusted. It comes with a new. Correct needle installed, and sews a neat chain stitch. Bare metal parts are silver. Not brass or gold colored. We include a swatch of ... morematerial with this toys actual stitching. 3 piece lot of antique sewing machine parts in good condition. The frame on the left was tagged for Singer 20-2 electric but has no markings on it and the frame on right marked singer is as seen. The third item is of unknown origin. The frame on left has some scratches and scuffs. The singer on right has some nicks in the finish and lost paint.
