This 1880c Wilcox and Gibbs Hand Crank was made in the UK. These handcranks were only made in the UK and would be fitted when the machine arrived from the US. This crank will fit any standard W&G made between the late 1860's up until the early 1900. The wooden base has the mounting screw but is missing a small piece of wood along the front edge. This probably happened many years ago as the edge has worn consistantly in color with the rest of the base and does not effect the functionality. The handle is orignal and in good condition. I felt they should stay this way, so instead of replacing them I polished off the rust and repainted them. They need a push to open but this is better than sliding off to become lost.
